You can finally exhale that sigh of relief, you are working for yourself now. Few probably are aware but from the first of the year up until Monday, you were working for the government, yep every dime you earned went to feeding this monstrous animal, another symptom of the Obama Effect:
This year, Americans have to work until July 15 to pay for the burden of government, more than six months.
In a new report, Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) has calculated that Americans will spend a total of 197 days toiling to pay for the cost of government.
“Cost of Government Day is the date of the calendar year on which the average American worker has earned enough gross income to pay off his or her share of the spending and regulatory burden imposed by government at the federal, state and local levels,” reads the report.
So that is what my fair share is, 54% of my labor, nice.
Let’s look at what we are getting for our money, a depressed economy, high unemployment, the largest percentage of American’s on public assistance in our history, the highest percentage of folks living at the poverty level in our history, deficits as far as the eye can see. Whatever Obama is doing, it clearly is not working.
Me being a good American, I don’t mind paying taxes, I understand that we need government to perform certain functions and my tax money funds those endeavors. And I wouldn’t grouse so much if I thought my tax money was being spent efficiently. But we all know better, not only are they miserable at allocating proper funds for proper services, but they are taking all of our money…………then spending $4 billion a day more, just because they can.
The Obama legacy, crony capitalism, high gas prices, high costs of living, a government that spies on it’s citizens, wars without consent of congress, civil liberties trampled, programs to give guns to drug dealers, enemies’lists, a reset with world allies where they now don’t trust us with their secrets or their backs, tax cheats working in the WH, legislation by executive fiat, and the most anti business environment in our history.
I think I deserve a refund.
