Who says the MSM does not hold themselves accountable;
The Billings Gazette apologized on Friday for its 2008 endorsement of Barack Obama for president in an editorial titled “Gazette opinion: Obama earned the low ratings.”
The Gazette said it missed George W. Bush and the “good ol’ days when we were at least winning battles in Iraq.”
It recapped several mistakes Obama has made during his presidency:
Obama has also failed on energy policy by not approving the Keystone XL pipeline, which could be helpful to the economy.
He has failed in Iraq; the country is now on the brink of civil war.
The Gazette wrote that the Bowe Bergdahl exchange made the Obama administration seem incompetent.
The VA system has been mismanaged by the Obama administration, leading to veterans dying before they could receive medical care.
Obama has also broken his promise to become the “most transparent administration in history.” The Gazette said the president’s administration is so opaque that is has earned a reputation worse than that of Richard Nixon.
You know, saying you’re sorry does not absolve you of being mind numbing stupid in the face of the mountain of evidence pointing to him clearly being over his head and totally unqualified. Your come to Jesus moment can only be replied with ,”Duh, what took you so long?”.
Those items mentioned pale when placed up against his real felonies. We don’t need the Reagan yardstick of “Are you better off?”, that is a given. When you consider that we are an international laughing stock to our friends and a joke to our enemies, that he has made us as a society even more divisive and polarized, that his hypocrisy is insulting when he tries to bail out those kids with student loans on one end, but saddle them with $17 trillion in debt and a dismal future on the other, that his income inequality problem is of his own doing-his war on the middle class,that he not only subverts The Constitution but actually used an executive arm (the IRS) to go after his political opponents, and that he has transformed America into a nation very close to being ruled by the have nots, those on public assistance, those perfectly willing to kill the golden goose (working productive tax payers), a simple ,”Gosh, guys, we’re sorry, who da thought he was going to be this bad?” hardly cuts the mustard.
Maybe this was just one of those Dying Declarations, seeing the writing on the fall that print journalism is in it’s death throws, trying to go out with a clear conscience is admirable, I guess.
