Tag: It’s not the low taxes: it’s the out of control spending

Douchebag says what?

One of the biggest idiots and a chief architect of Obama’s campaign to turn America into a banana republic, again shows he is a fucking moron:

(Weekly Standard) Senate majority leader Harry Reid says that “Everybody” is “willing to pay more” taxes. He said so in an interview with a Nevada Public Radio host.

“The only people who feel there shouldn’t be more coming in to the federal government from the rich people are the Republicans in the Congress,” Reid told the radio host, according to Roll Call. “Everybody else, including the rich people, are willing to pay more. They want to pay more.”

I would like to use two of the most left leaning entities out there as examples, and a reference to quite a few others, to discredit this idiot’s bullshit.

U.S. Senate scrutiny of Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s tax strategies turned the spotlight on a unit with $30 billion in profit since 2009 that’s incorporated in Ireland, controlled by a board in California, and doesn’t pay taxes in either place. Apple officials acknowledged yesterday at a congressional hearing that the entity — a key subsidiary in Apple’s offshore tax strategy — is managed and controlled in the U.S., yet it still isn’t paying U.S. federal income taxes.

The shifting of profits by multinational companies is costing the U.S. and Europe at least $100 billion per year in lost tax revenue, according to Kimberly Clausing, an economics professor at Reed University in Portland, Oregon. “Over the decades, Congress and governments around the world have allowed a system to develop which allows multinational companies to earn income tax-free by using contracts to shift the income, on paper, to companies in low-and zero-tax countries,” said Michael Durst, a retired international tax attorney based in Washington. The result “is eroding public confidence in the fairness of tax systems in the United States and around the world.”

Similar practices by an assortment of companies — from Google Inc. (GOOG), owner of the world’s most popular Internet search engine, to Forest Laboratories Inc. (FRX), the maker of antidepressant drug Lexapro — are drawing increased scrutiny from regulators in the U.S. and around the world, particularly as European nations face a backlash against austerity measures.

Apple and Google are but two of these entities that do not feel any obligation to pay their taxes. Another big one is GE, a company whose CEO, Jeffery Immelt, was a key member of the Obama cabinet, and masterful at not paying more taxes like that idiot Reid claims all lefties do. I bet you Immelt, like the hard core left leaning top men at Google and Apple to go back to those examples, all pay top dollar to their personal accountants to avoid onerous taxes, too.

And if you think the problem is with me pointing to evil korporashuns to make that asshat look like the idiot he is, let me talk about some of these people on the left that Reid says are all ready to pay more taxes. Let’s start with our illustrious SEC State John Kerry, whom parked his yacht in another state to avoid paying taxes. Then there is Timmy Geithner, another Obama stud, whom just chose not to pay a good chunk of his taxes at all! I am also sure no democrat uses an accountant to prepare their taxes, just filing a 1040EZ, without any deductions, because, as Reid says, they are quite happy to send more of their money to Uncle Sam for the bureaucracy to burn up. I wonder if Reid and other prominent democrats make their returns public so we can see them all paying more in taxes. Or maybe not.

Hey douchebag, if you really want others to pay more, lead by example. There already is a way to make sure people like you can pay as much as they want: just go here. Then publish them returns. Until then shut the fuck up you hypocritical cock gobbling bastard. Fuck these crooks with their hands in our wallets are just despicable. Cut the fucking spending on the bloated vote buying bureaucracy instead.

Again: you have to go to the foreign press to get the facts

Our bought & paid for DNC propagandists in the LSM are all busy providing cover for a terrible budget. For example, AP reports the budget as follows:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is sending Congress a $3.77 trillion spending blueprint that seeks to achieve an elusive “grand bargain” to tame runaway deficits by raising taxes further on the wealthy and trimming popular benefit programs such as Social Security.

The president’s proposal being unveiled Wednesday includes an additional $1.8 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade, bringing total deficit savings to $4.3 trillion, based on the administration’s calculations.

It projects that the deficit for the 2014 budget year, which begins Oct. 1, would fall to $744 billion. That would be the lowest gap between spending and revenue since 2008.

But instead of moving Congress nearer a grand bargain, Obama’s proposals so far have managed to anger both Republicans, who are upset by higher taxes, and Democrats upset with cuts to Social Security benefits.

The president’s spending and tax plan is two months late. The administration blames the delay on the lengthy “fiscal cliff” negotiations at the end of December and then fights over the March 1 automatic spending cuts.

Obama’s budget is going to save!!!1! Not only is he dreamy, but he is trying so hard to strike a bargain which reduces deficits and still helps the oppressed! Never mind that the numbers used to make that claim come from his administration, and that so far none of the numbers they have given us, on any and all of their other bullshit predictions, have ever panned out, but focus on how it is those pesky and evil rethuglicans that are the problem, while the democrats are justifiably mad that they are ripping off those poor senior citizens. If Obama manages to get this through we end up with a huge reduction in our deficit gap! Only $744 billion instead of the trillion plus it has ran at for the last 5 years. Blah blah, blah.

Some others try to pretend they are criticizing the budget, like The Hill does:

President Obama’s budget to be released on Wednesday would leave the nation with a $744 billion budget deficit in 2014 despite new entitlement cuts and tax hikes.

The $1.058 trillion budget for fiscal year 2014 — which will arrive on Capitol Hill about two months late — would turn off the automatic spending cuts known as the sequester and raise $580 billion in new tax revenue over ten years by limiting tax deductions for upper-income households.

The budget increases spending in 2014 when compared to spending under the sequester. Leaving the sequester in place would lead to $966 billion in discretionary spending in 2014.

Total spending in fiscal year 2014 including on entitlements would be $3.77 trillion.

For the first time, Obama’s budget counts revenue from a “Buffett Rule” requiring that households with annual income over $1 million pay at least a 30 percent tax rate after charitable deductions. The rule is named after investor Warren Buffett and was only a suggestion in the last Obama budget.

If he but left the sequester in place we would save more. And that Buffet rule is finally there. We only will spend something a little south of $3.8 trillion dollars too. More Blah, blah, blah.

Then you have some of the other LSM propagandists focusing on how the donkey are peeved at Obama’s grand bargain:

Calling Obama’s offer “nuts,” Sanders went on: “The White House tells us they want to defend the middle class — that’s their mantra. If you want to defend the middle class you don’t cut Social Security, you don’t cut Medicare, and you don’t cut benefits for disabled vets.”

“Say it!” somebody shouted.

“Give it to ’em!” somebody else called out.

Sanders’s ire was real, as was that of his fellow demonstrators: a pair of congressmen plus representatives of the AFL-CIO, the National Organization for Women, MoveOn.org, Campaign for America’s Future and the rest of the liberal establishment. “Inhumane,” they said of Obama’s proposal. “Dickensian … reprehensible.”

But, in reality, the progressives’ street protest did Obama a favor. He needs to have the likes of Bernie Sanders against him. It strengthens his hand and helps him negotiate a better deal with Republican leaders, who can now see that liberal backbenchers and interest groups can sometimes be as intransigent as conservatives.

Oh Bernie, aren’t you a dream? And look at how you make Obama strong and give him leverage because you feign anger at a reduction in expected growth, a stupid accounting trick that should not fool even a child, that the DNC propagandists are bandying as a cut! How noble. Blah, blah, blah.

Even Fox News goes along with the DNC established line that this budget must be awesome because it riled both parties and seems to be an exact duplicate of the AP propaganda piece. I will spare you the repeated drivel since it parrots everything the AP story says almost verbatim. More blah, blah, blah.

And then you have this:

Early analysis: Obama’s 2014 budget numbers are based on bad math, phantom revenues, imagined spending cuts and a middle-class tax hike:

* White House promises $1.8 trillion in deficit reduction, although similar previous claims have been debunked
* New method of measuring cost-of-living increases will lower benefit payouts and push middle-class earners into higher tax brackets
* Speaker Boehner’s spokesperson: ‘Any deficit reduction will come exclusively from tax hikes’
* Administration’s formula depends on cost savings from Obamacare, which may be more costly to implement than previously thought

We finally got some truth and reality. But it had to come from the foreign press. And I think these revelations are tame, because the reality is bound to be far worse. From the article:

FactCheck.org, a program of the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Policy Center, reported in February that Obama’s total sum included about $600 billion, however, in new taxes – not spending reductions. It also included $500 billion in reductions of the amount the federal government planned to pay in future interest on its debts.

Only about $1.4 trillion consisted of actual spending cuts – or at least what Washington wonks call spending cuts.

Federal budgets are configured along what’s called a ‘baseline,’ providing a predetermined level of year-on-year increases that Congress has set on auto-pilot, and with which the White House generally considers it unwise to interfere.

The $1.4 trillion in cuts were merely reductions in those planned rates of spending increases.

The Daily Caller quoted House Speaker John Boehner’s press secretary, Brendan Buck, who dismissed in an email the idea that the White House’s budget will actually trim spending.

‘So where are the net spending cuts? I guess they don’t exist,’ Buck wrote. ‘The president’s budget will – at best – be flat on spending – or potentially even be a net spending increase [and] any deficit reduction will come exclusively from tax hikes.’

That’s the facts. The donkeys are not cutting anything. They are using accounting gimmicks and a partisan media to pretend that’s happening, and a complicit media and stupid republicans that can’ or won’t do much better, are going along with this nonsense. In fact, if things work out as they usually do when it comes to predictions of any kind of savings or cuts by our collectivist masters, what we end up with will be a spending increase. Bank on it being an increase in spending. Leviathan never cuts, and that’s a fact you can take to the bank when the left is in charge.

What this budget does do for sure is again raise taxes. And despite the banter about how it will be the rich paying up, those getting socked will be in the middle class. Leftists hate the middle class. They like those that are sucking on the government’s teat and have to vote for them and the stinking rich that pay homage to them. Everyone else is a mark to be fleeced. Party of the little people, indeed, but let’s pretend this pile a shit is a step in the right direction. We are going off the cliff, and the train is speeding up instead of slowing down.

The tragedy goes on..

I guess that since our lord and savior won the election, we better get used to pure propaganda stories about how awesome things are getting like this one.

CNN reports that practically all Americans went shopping over “Black Friday” weekend.

“A record 247 million shoppers visited stores and websites in the post-Thanksgiving Black Friday weekend this year, up 9% from 226 million last year, according to a survey by the National Retail Federation released Sunday,” the CNN reports reads. The headline reads: “247 million shoppers visited stores and websites Black Friday weekend.”

I guess I am either not an adult – I did zero shopping – or that number was pulled straight out of their asses. Have no doubt that this stuff is part and parcel of the propaganda campaign that is supposed to convince people that the abysmal economy has made a turn for the better because “The One” was reelected. The facts speak differently. Our government is spending far more than any economy could ever support, and the left refuses to admit that.

The narrative is why we are getting so much hot air about how republicans MUST give in to tax increases on the evil rich. As I pointed out in other posts, the amount of money that these rate hikes on the evil rich will produce are going to be of no consequence. There is a reason that the media keeps reporting the revenue that this roll back would produce over a 10 year span instead: you have to multiply it by 10 to even come close to matching the number we suppose they are currently over spending by each year. When you understand that our government is spending at least $ 1.2 trillion more than they collect -and without a real budget for the last 4 years, they could be spending twice that for all we know – and have plans to jack that spending up, this fight to stick it to the rich comes into perspective: it is a political stunt.

The reason the left is hell bent on pushing for this hike is simple: they believe that the propagandists in the LSM will spin it in their favor, and they can’t lose. The fact that the revenue it will raise is not going to matter much be damned. Look, what you as one of the people they want to dupe need to know is the following: if they propose to jack up spending by 10% then provide this massive “fiscal cliff” kabuki dance in which they cover 1% of that spending, it is not a good deal. Even worse is the fact that the left is pretending that since they are implying they will give us a 4 to 1 ratio of spending cuts to new revenue, that things will balance out. Even if we where lucky enough to get that cutting – and my bet is that it will basically all come out of defense if the left gets its way – we will still have increased deficit spending of 5%. We lose, they win.
