These people think George Orwell’s 1984 is an instruction manual

If you have not read 1984, you should, but here is a synopsis about what at that time was seen as a work of fiction that reflected a world gone mad. Basically Orwell created a dystopian world run by “Big Brother”, an entity that pretends to run this upside down world for the betterment of all people, but really is only out for the elite few (basically every collectivist system in history), where amongst other things the “Ministry of Truth” twists language to suit whatever the agenda du jour of the masters is. Stories change, often and blatantly, without regard for the obvious contradictions and abuse, so the masters can get what they want from the sheep.

Queue in the latest instance of our own Obama Administration’s “Ministry of Truth”, and man have we had a few doozies from these people, where they now are relabeling criminals and criminal activity. I admit that when I saw this piece for the first time I double checked to make sure it was not a belated April first joke or some publication from whatever site finally replaced the now DNC controlled Onion as the latest site for sarcastic, ironic, and moronic news. It tuns out that it is for real. Sure, the claim is that this relabeling is to give people a second chance, but me, I see it as another chess move in the much greater game where the left wants to specifically use the power of government restore voting right to criminals, whom would predominantly vote for them.

Whatever your feelings about criminality in this country, you have to admit that we have a problem with our leadership at this time. On the one hand they are criminalizing all sorts of albeit stupid but not criminal behaviors the left dislikes, and yet here we have the administration going out of its way to destigmatize real criminals and crime. Personally I, if I for a second believed that we could get a system where if drugs were decriminalized the government wouldn’t make people like me pay for the cost of the nanny state safety net that they would create, would decriminalize drug use. But rape and robbery, armed or otherwise, are serious crimes I feel far stronger about. I don’t mind people making personal choices about associating or interacting with people convicted of these sorts of crimes, but I have serious reservations about government pushing people into that, and doing so at such an Orwellian level, just so they can eventually tell us they will give these people the ability to vote (for them) again.

How do you spell banana republic?

Don’t worry about how to spell, it just look at how the Obama administration and the left have been doing things for the last few years, and you should have a pretty good idea. Yesterday I pointed out how government feels those of us that do not think government should be allowed to disarm us considering how corrupt it is, but that’s just a drop in the bucket of the insane abuses of power going on. Today I would like to point out how vulnerable Senate democrats have had no problem asking the IRS to hamstring the opposition for them, and that the LSM seems quite OK with this incredible abuse of power.

Let’s not pretend that Obama did anything but lie that day he said there was not a smidgen of corruption in that IRS scandal he claims is made up as well. It takes some special kind of gall to lie about not using powerful and unrestrained federal agencies to target your political opponents, but it goes to a whole new level once they no longer even try to hide the fact that they will heavily rely on this sort of abuse to compensate for people wanting to hold them responsible for this sort of lawless and corrupt behavior.

Politics: In the wake of the IRS targeting scandal, which included groups that already had tax exemptions, vulnerable Democrats ask the agency with the power to tax to use that power to destroy their opposition in 2014. The fundamental transformation of the United States into a banana republic, where government power is used to suppress political opposition, has evolved from a hidden campaign targeting the Tea Party and other conservative groups to an open attempt to suppress free speech by changing the definition of what constitutes political activity. It’s an attempt to define conservative political speech out of existence.

The administration cover story — that prior to the 2012 election the sudden increase in the number of such groups applying for tax-exempt status was the reason applications were delayed — has been blown apart by Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich. His Ways and Means Committee found that the groups targeted already had tax exemptions and that 100% of the groups that were targeted with an audit were on the right. Now, Senate Democrats who voted for ObamaCare and parroted President Obama’s lie of the year are asking the IRS to ensure that if they like their Senate seats they can keep their Senate seats. They want the IRS to be a campaign wing of the Democratic Party.

Leading the IRS call is Sen. Charles Schumer, N.Y., the Senate Democrats’ chief political strategist. “The Tea Party elites gained extraordinary influence by being able to funnel millions of dollars into campaigns with ads that distort the truth and attack government,” Schumer said in remarks at the Center for American Progress Action Fund.

Sharing that belief are vulnerable Democrats such as Sen. Mark Pryor of Arkansas. He argues the IRS has power over such groups that engage in what he calls quasi-political activity. In reality, such groups are merely people organizing to petition for the redress of grievances, which include reckless spending, oppressive taxation and regulation, and, yes, ObamaCare.

When the democrats called the Tea Party terrorists, then proceeded to hold training for military entities where these people were acting like terrorists, they meant it. Anyone that stands in the way of the left’s agenda and hold on power is a terrorist and obviously evil, a threat to the state, and the left thinks it is fine for them to use the government they control to target them. Let’s not pretend that these people are doing anything but engaging in criminal activity for their own benefit anymore, please. There is no defending this shit.

We should all learn how to spell banana republic, because we are living in one.

Want to see a racist?

And I mean a real one. Let’s start with some background.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Charles Garnati earned a distinction among all Illinois prosecutors as he was sworn into office for his eighth term Monday. Garnati is now the longest continuously serving state’s attorney in Illinois, according to Patrick Delfino, director of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor Office. Garnati, a Democrat from Carterville, announced his bid for re-election Sept. 21, 2011. He ran unopposed and was elected to an eighth consecutive term as the county’s top prosecutor Nov. 6.

In his 28 years as state’s attorney, Garnati said a lot of cases stand out, but he credits his staff and law enforcement for their part in winning 32 murder convictions in his seven terms on the job. “There are just so many good people that it’s hard to say anything other than it’s great to be Williamson County State’s Attorney,” he said. “I wouldn’t want any other job. This is a job I’ve wanted all my life, and the fact that I’ve made it for 28 years is kind of amazing to me.” At the end of his current term, Garnati will have served 32 consecutive years as state’s attorney.

The thing to note here is this guy is a life long democrat and part of the Illinois machine. So then, let’s look at the charges of racism and get the whole picture:

The top prosecutor in a southern Illinois county is facing a legal ethics case because of racial remarks he made that derailed a murder trial. Williamson County State’s Attorney Charles Garnati violated four legal ethics rules and “tends to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts or legal profession into disrepute,” contends the the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission in a Nov. 6 complaint (PDF) that was made public on Wednesday. The defendant, who is black, was tried before an all-white jury in July 2011 and sentenced to 85 years before his conviction was reversed on appeal, reports the Chicago Tribune.

“Now in our white world, ladies and gentlemen,” said Garnati at one point during the trial, as he drew a distinction between the way the two races deal with police. In an unusual move, he agreed last summer that the defendant, Marcus Marshall, should get a new trial in the case, which involved the fatal shooting of LaQuinn Hudson at a 2010 party in Marion. A state appellate court reversed Marshall’s conviction in September. The Tribune said Garnati could not be reached for comment Wednesday, and he did not immediately respond to a message left at his office on Thursday morning by the ABA Journal.

Yeah, but we keep getting told that the racists are other people. And no, this is not just one case. This is the one case they couldn’t ignore so we heard about it. In my personal experience I have found the most racist people to always be democrats. Be they white or black ones. And one of the most racist people I have ever seen heads up the DOJ these days.

You can not make this kind of stupid up…

This unbelievable story would right now be front page news, and we would have the usual suspects in the LSM doing their best to link Romney to it, if this was done by a republican:

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The woman named “Democrat of The Year” this year by the Jefferson County Democratic Party has been convicted of felony theft by a Jefferson County jury for stealing from a developmentally disabled 71-year-old woman.

“The jury did right,” said Cindy Maxwell, an advocate for the victim.

On Thursday, a jury convicted 66-year-old Estelle Carson of felony identify theft and felony theft from an at risk adult for stealing checks from the woman and using them to pay her own cable, cell phone and internet bills.

The victim is partially blind, developmentally disabled, has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. She is on a fixed income of $596 per month according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

Just wow. And seriously, I find no irony in the revelation that this woman was a top democrat. If this was a republican, we would be hearing how we should not be voting for Romney, because this is what Romney believes in. Just take a look at the regular policies democrats back and force upon us though, to help us, of course, and you will see most of their feel good nonsense is on par with robbing developmentally disabled people in wheel chairs. Heh.
