Tag: AGW cultists

Today is the 10th anniversary of Man-bear-pig’s prediction, that in 10 years, if the left was not allowed to institute the draconian and freedom robbing rules that are part and parcel of the SJWs on humanity, that the world would end.

The left has not really gotten its way despite the orchestrated anti-science consensus shaming campaign, so I am now going to hunker down in my basement and wait for the end…..

No, seriously…

We can’t get shit right!

But we are going to keep pretending we are not talking out of our collective government funding wanting asses. This stuff is just priceless.

From the comments:

Like Astrology, Marxism and Freudianism, Global Warming theory can “explain” anything, but predict NOTHING.

Pretty much sums it all up. It’s not a coincidence that the watermelons are all into the warming shit, when they stopped believing in the old religion and replaced god with an all-powerful big government, they needed their Armageddon to keep the masses in line.

If anything can be scientifically observed from the warmists, it’s that there is very little science going on. If there was, they would admit they have no fucking clue what they are talking about and that they simply don’t understand the mechanisms involved, even at the most basic level.

Cultist caught lying & manipulating science they don’t like – again

Earlier this week I read about how one of the more renown former proponents of the AGW-mageddon preached by the cultist was rail-roaded for no longer being a true believer, but didn’t write about it because it would be more of the same behavior you see the AGW cultists exhibit whenever someone leaves their plantation. However, as another revelation related to Lenart Bengtsson and research he and some colleagues that feel science should rule over collectivist agenda, has come out, I feel this is writing about. At issue is the suppression of a research report that disagreed with the doom & gloom bullshit the cultists rely on to sell more collectivism.

Sure you can focus on the AGW predictions angle, but I saw something else, far more important, in the story. A little bit of background:

Research which heaped doubt on the rate of global warming was deliberately suppressed by scientists because it was “less than helpful” to their cause, it was claimed last night.

In an echo of the infamous “Climategate” scandal at the University of East Anglia, one of the world’s top academic journals rejected the work of five experts after a reviewer privately denounced it as “harmful”.

Reporting facts, and more importantly, the fact that the AGW cultists are incapable of anything scientific considering the principle clearly states that when you predict something and it doesn’t happen you are wrong, apparently is a harmful thing to the cause. And the cause can be interpreted as two things, neither of which has anything to do with science or actually doing anything to prevent the climate Armageddon predicted by the watermelons. The harm here is being done to the agenda, which has, and will always be, collectivist power expansion and control of the masses. Whatever “crisis du jour” the watermelons try to sell people to foist their agenda on us, the solution always is more taxes, bigger & more powerful nanny state, less freedom of any kind for the people, and the notion that those that deny them this desire are motivated by ill will.

Consensus science, is junk science. A scientific process that relies on a peer review system where the connected decide something “damaging” to the cause, and then a cause that’s ideological and political and not scientific, isn’t the sort of science they want, is also junk science. AGW science is junk science. Period. This shit can’t die a quick enough death for me, so we can turn to Ocean Acidification and that attempt to further damage scientific credibility. Collectivism sucks.

Did this disciple just let the cat out of the bag?

Richard Lindzen, an MIT professor, and an AGW advocate, seems to have really let the cat out of the bag recently, according to this See-BS, news article, where he points out:

MIT Professor Richard Lindzen is a leading international expert on climate change. “The changes that have occurred due to global warning are too small to account for,” he told WBZ-TV. “It has nothing to do with global warming, it has to do with where we live.”

Lindzen endorses sensible preparedness and environmental protection, but sees what he terms “catastrophism” in the climate change horror stories.

“Global warming, climate change, all these things are just a dream come true for politicians. The opportunities for taxation, for policies, for control, for crony capitalism are just immense, you can see their eyes bulge,” he says.

I bolded the important sections. Nobody here should doubt that I disagree with the professor on AGW, or whatever they call it these days. There is no such thing as an optimum or steady state temperature, a base requirement for you to make the argument that these changes are bad. The immutable fact I agree with the Climate cult on is that in nature things change, and they have been changing since this giant ball we live on got formed out of dust in space over 4 billion years ago. Climate or temperature is no exception. The planet went from being molten rock to having a solid surface. Oceans formed, weather came about, and it has drifted between heat that had palm tree like plants growing at the poles to temperatures so cold that we had mile high ice caps on the very same poles.

All this happened long before man. Between the sun, other radiation from space, the complex relationship between the oceans, the atmosphere, earth’s various energy retention systems, and the many mechanisms that move these energies around the globe – systems and mechanisms we barely understand as all the faulty modeling (I am being generous here because we all know that there was more manipulation to reach a desire result than faulty anything) by the cultists and their failed predictions proves – temperatures and climate managed to fluctuate so drastically that we would barely be able to recognize the planet from one age to the other.

And yet, for the last 30 or so years, after a couple of decades before that of the same types talking about another ice age, we have been told that the planet was going to turn into a waterworld, not because of nature, but because of man. So, queue in the big government types, and suddenly mother nature doesn’t matter. Lindzen finally admits that the real problem is the incestuous relationship between the grant seekers doing this research and the big government (the nanny state collectivists) types that see this as a means to frighten uninformed or misinformed people into giving up more of their freedoms, rights, and wealth.

Maybe we are finally getting somewhere, and we can finally get some real research, not intended to help collectivists scare the sheep into letting them set up their tyrannical and all controlling governments, but stuff that can help us separate the facts from the fiction. Of course, I suspect that grant money will dry up quickly once the nanny staters stop seeing the stuff they want. At least we can now, without a shadow of a doubt, point out the ludicrous position taken by the cutists that only anti-AGW is bad because that was financed by fossil fuel types. Nobody can outfund the nannys state collectivist Leviathan….. Heh!

Some scientists get it.

The other day Hal had a real good post up about how, yet again, liberal social science types – talk about an oxymoron – had found that conservatives hated science, proving how dumb they are. Of course the devil was in the unreported/hidden details. What conservatives objected to wasn’t science, but how politicized so many people claiming to be doing science, but really doing nothing of the sort, were, but considering the source and the narrative, you would never, ever find that out either from the social science types behind this survey or the LSM. Of course the comments, despite Hal’s best efforts, devolved into an argument about AGW, which for conservatives is the de facto proof of why they distrust the so called scientific community peddling this nonsense.

Like Hal, I was hoping to avoid this post resulting in the same rehash of the same tired arguments, but the fact is that, this story, dealing with scientists at NASA finally getting tired of the cultists leading the AGW collectivist agenda and their shenanigans, actually serves to up my credence of the members of the scientific community, and hence is relevant.

Basically we have people that want the scientific process to actually be allowed to work, and to let the truth come out for a change pointing out that relying solely on blatantly false and unscientific models, rather than the empirical data – you know the stuff that the AGW cultists conveniently destroyed misplaced – is not just bad practice but unscientific. We can rehash the argument about how loaded with crap these models are, with the same people coming to the defense of the indefensible, but I do not even want to bother. The fact is the empirical data wouldn’t be so easy to rig, unless they engage in the massive massaging of cherry picked pieces of said data, like we found out they did after the East Anglia revelations, and then destroyed the data, yet again, to prevent people from understanding what a crime they committed.

I also do not think it is a coincidence, and very relevant, that the people behind this letter are former NASA scientists. They are likely retired older people from back in the day, where/when they took scientific work seriously, and would have had a huge problem with the politicized bullshit the left pushes as science these days, and/or people that left or where removed from NASA for not toeing the political line. I am sure the MSM will do its best to not report any of this controversial news – I looked but found nothing – and if NASA holds true to form, they will ignore or give lip service and not much else to this request. After all, the money is there for those that give big government what they want, and what they want is the narrative that lets them push the “man made” nonsense their new world order and tax schemes are predicated on.

Still, it does show some scientists, even if they are old, take science seriously. Hopefully we get a lot more of this too. It would help to make people resort to well informed decisions and enhance the trust that is sorely lacking in the block of politicized left leaning community that pretends they are scientist like those beholden to the church of AGW.
