You’ll have to excuse me if this posts suffers from the odd spot of incoherence, because right now it’s almost 3:30 in the morning and I’m so drunk I can’t even see straight.  That being said, I feel compelled to comment on this bit of idiocy from yesterday.

Protesters at a white supremacists’ march threw rocks at police, vandalized vehicles and stores and cursed the mayor for allowing the event.

Mayor Jack Ford said when he and a local minister tried to calm the rioters Saturday, they were cursed and a masked gang member threatened to shoot him. At one point, the crowd reached 600 people, officials said.

Rioters set fire to 86-year-old Louis Ratajski’s neighborhood pub, Jim & Lou’s Bar, but he and his nephew escaped the flames.

“To be honest with you, there weren’t enough police to take care of them,” he said.

At least 65 people were arrested and several police officers were injured before calm was restored about four hours later.

In a nutshell, here’s what happened.  These stupid nazi fucks wanted to hold a parade.  They city denied them a permit to march in the street, but the pesky First Amendment granted them the right to hold a march on a public thoroughfare, the sidewalk in other words.  The police were not in any position to stop them from exercising their right to peaceably assemble, no matter how morally repugnant their message might be.  In fact, it is incumbent on the police to protect their right to peaceably assemble.  It’s this respect for the law and the rights of the individual that separates the democratic West from, say, Iran or North Korea.  At any rate, the inevitable riot happened, and as you can guess it was started, as almost all riots are, by blacks.

The violence broke out about one-quarter of a mile away along the planned march route shortly before it was to begin. One group of men pounded on a convenience store, and others overturned vehicles. There was a report of a shooting but police hadn’t found a victim, Police Chief Mike Navarre said.

About 150 police officers chased bands of young men through the area. Officers wearing gas masks fired tear gas canisters and flash-bang devices designed to stun suspects, but the groups continued throwing rocks and bottles. Several officers and firefighters suffered minor injuries, Navarre said.

Finally, police marched shoulder-to-shoulder down the street shouting to people to stay inside, and the crowd of several hundred broke up.

At least 65 people were arrested on charges including assault, vandalism, failure to obey police and failure to disperse, Navarre said. He said the white supremacists had left hours earlier.

In other words, it wasn’t legitimate rage at the nazis that caused the riot, the nazis were nothing but a convenient excuse to go out and fuck some shit up, yo.  But the thing that really got to me was this remark.

Keith White, a black resident, criticized city officials for allowing the march: “They let them come here and expect this not to happen?” said White, 29.

Yes, Mr. White (how ironic) that is exactly what I expect.  See, not only do the nazis hate blacks, but they also hate hook-nosed bloodsucking Jews, and papist child-raping Catholics, and ching-chong Chinamen, and interracial couples, and all kinds of other non-white non-Protestant folk.  I do find it strange, however, that everyone other than the blacks was able to resist the urge to set cars on fire and throw firebombs at police.  Why is that?

It’s simple.  This is nothing more that a symptom of the larger problem of the coddling of black Americans by society at large, liberal society in particular.  Any outburst is excused if it can be inferred that there was some kind of racial animus as the cause. 

Why did you set the police car on fire? 
Well, there were nazis in town! 
Oh, okay, fair enough.

It is this coddling of black society that permits them, even encourages them, to behave like savage animals and expect a free pass.  And when they don’t get the free pass, well, that’s just evidence of even more racism, isn’t it?

You know what I expect, Keith White?  I expect every black member of your community to act like civilized human beings.  I expect them to recognize that here in the United States we tolerate speech from even the most vile, contemptible, detestable elements of society, elements like the the American Nazis.  Tolerating scum like this is one of the things that makes this country great.  Rather than show how advanced and tolerant the black community is when faced with a bunch of racist yahoos, you decide to stoop down to the lowest common denominator and riot, thus making yourselves appear to be the crazed jungle animals that the nazis claim you are.

What do we expect?  We expect you to act like us.  Which, apparently, is too much to ask.
