Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"

O’Tay….Can’t You See?
by

I saw this story today, and wanted to put my Manwhorerrific take on it. It’s a real riot, when people take it upon themselves to break tradition and reveal the Democrat’s ruthless “change” strategy a moment too soon.

As Denver dignitaries gathered Tuesday for Mayor John Hickenlooper’s State of the City address, City Council President Michael Hancock introduced singer Rene Marie to perform the national anthem.

But that’s not what she did.

Instead, Marie performed the song “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing,” which also is known as the “black national anthem.”

When she finished, the proceedings moved forward, and the “Star-Spangled Banner” was never performed.

Councilman Charlie Brown took to local talk radio Tuesday afternoon to blast the lack of the nation’s anthem at the proceedings.

“There’s no replacement for the national anthem,” Brown said. “They should have sung it.”

Damn, another one down. Well, to be fair, I thought Rosanne Barr did a much finer job mocking the National Anthem, so she had a hard uphill climb. There was a “decent and fair” (patent pending) man in the background, who expressed his true patriotism in his philisophical and cerebral way. A tear could be seen forming as he stood there, proud to have an anthem that honors him....personally.
