Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803

You Got the Right One Baby, Uh-Huh

They always come in threes.  First is was Ronald Reagan, now it’s Ray Charles

Ray Charles, who overcame childhood poverty, blindness and heroin addiction to help create soul music and become one of America’s most beloved singers, died on Thursday at the age of 73 after a long fight with liver disease, his spokesman said.

Charles died at 11:35 a.m. PDT (2:35 p.m. EDT) at his Beverly Hills home, the singer’s longtime publicist Jerry Digney said. Family members and co-workers of the legendary entertainer were with him when he died.

Who’s going to be the third?  It will have to be someone who is elderly, and who is an icon in their chosen field.  Leave your predictions in the comments.  Also, is anyone else surprised to learn that Charles was only 73?  I figured he was in his 80s at least.
