Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803

Who Do You Love?

An article on the differences between the visions of the future of Europe held by Chirac and Blair yields this interesting statistic.

Meanwhile a new MORI poll for the FT reveals that 55 per cent of Britons regard France as the UK’s least reliable ally, while 73 per cent view the US as the country’s most reliable.

Say what you want about the Brits and their attitudes towards the war, they know that when the chips are down they can rely on the Yanks, and that the Frogs are a nation of self-interested, backstabbing cowards.
