My mom always told me that if you have nothing good to say about someone you should just give them a pass when they die. That’s what I will do in this case.

I’m with Alex on this one.

Well, I’ll say it.

He was a worthless piece of leftist shit that has spent the last 40 years trying to kill himself with a bottle of gin.  He should have been thrown in prison after Chappaquiddick.

Also, he should have resigned his senate seat when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Hah...the local radio station I listen to out of Boston had been doing nothing but lampooning him with their greatest hits, and reading hate emails over the air.

No respect...but hilarious nonetheless.

I’ll save my blatant celebrating for elsewhere, but I will note that everyone who doubts the Dems will be overjoyed and try to use this to get Obamacare passed, under his name or whatnot?

About an hour and a half after the news stations started reporting it, the people they’d brought in to comment on his life were already starting in. “This is his bill, his hands are all over it, he worked so hard on it, it practically has his name on it!” They could barely restrain the excitement in their voices, and these were supposed to be people who were near-lifelong acquaintances.

That’s basically how the Left has come to view the death of one of their own… an opportunity. I’m betting his funeral will make the whole “WE! WILL! WIN!” debacle look solemn and respectful. He shall become Saint Kennedy of Camalot, and we must have universal health care in his name or we’re all evil heartless cruel Nazis.

I’ll simply say Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable for comment.

At least we will get to see democrat hypocrisy and “justice”, social or otherwise, front and center, as the Mass legislators and governor revert back to allowing the governor of the commonwealth of massechussets to appoint a vacated Senate seat’s replacement, a move they denied their political opponents when Kerry ran for the presidency in 2004 when Romeny was the governor, without even a smidgeon of shame. The crooks in the Mass are rigging the game again, and the governor is ready to go along.

The dems have already registered #DoItForTeddy on Twitter.

Fuck, he hasn’t even finished checkin at Hell, they’re still going over his list, and the Left has already strapped runners to his corpse and started riding him down the hill.

Every time a Democrat dies, they always act like some absurd piece of super-leftist agenda is “too important” to debate and must be passed to honor the deceased.

If his death is what gets it passed, I wish he’d lived forever.

Rumor has it he is getting a management position there, so there is no checking in needed.

Can’t feel too bad for him, as he was a murderer among other things (and a kennedy, not sure which is worse).

But since he can’t defend himself anymore I do feel a little awkward bashing him.

I think overall this is good for the country, but we’ll have to wait and see.

One often implies the other.

It should be noted that this was a guy who could be friends with both the Reagans and the Bushes. In some ways he did represent an earlier politics when it was OK to agree to disagree. Which I did with him about 95% of the time. I’ve also long wondered why it was OK to criticize Bush for being from a wealthy family, but the priveleged Kennedys were a “Dynasty”.

That aside, the man had to live with his inner demons and hopefully is now at peace.

And now Dominick Dunne is gone, too.

I am going to have to agree with SO on this one. Good riddance.

That man was an embarassing blight for all irish catholics.

Not long before the DNC last summer, the Democrats were having a field day with McCain supposedly not knowing how many houses he owned. I had to chuckle when, after hearing endlessly about McCain being too wealthy and out of touch, the first night of the convention was centered around Ted Kennedy and a desperate attempt to invoke all of the “Camelot” garbage.

It turns out that it’s ok to be a filthy rich old, fat white guy as long as you’re a Democrat, because having “D” after your name means you’re a tireless public servant who’s always looking out for the little guy.

You forgot to say: ”With other people’s money” there Ratliff. Because these democrats are all for looking out for the little guy, as long as someone else pays for it.

Ok i was nice enough to be silent about him for at lest one day.

it should be noted to that is was responsible for teh death of a young woman, and he stab any of his political adversary’s in the back for personal gain.
Not to mention his letter to Yuri Andropov, and his family contributions to Irish political groups that were fronts for the IRA..................

Or his role in congress’ attempt to stop any attempt by the US to prevent the Soviet expansion in Latin America in the 80s.

I dunno if it was on purpose or not but my local paper the Fargo-Moorhead Forum had a full page spread with articles about him with an ad for Happy Harry’s (a liquor store) smack dab in the center of it.

Made me giggle anyway.

the man was not a great senator, he was a god damm parasite.

But remember, we’re all supposed to respect him in death. Even though Reagan, who was President (and never murdered anybody, to my knowledge), gets called a “stupid old actor with Alzheimer’s”.

YOU WILL BE RESPECTFUL OF ST. KENNEDY OF CAMALOT!

Posted by InsipiD on 08/28/09 at 07:11 AM from United States

“stupid old actor with Alzheimer’s”.

Don’t forget, B-movie actor.  President for 8 years, brought down communism and the Berlin Wall, set rolling a period of unbelievable economic expansion and prosperity, and do liberals call him one of the great statesmen of the 20th century?  But make one movie with a monkey…
