The Bush administration has done many things in office. Some where good, a lot more were bad; some I can forgive, some are unforgivable. For me, the most unforgivable is the number of times his corruption and incompetence have made me agree with someone I generally detest. In this case it’s Carl Levin Patrick Leahy.
As I watch this, I see her thinking back through all the hours she put in to get through law school, the thrill of bring hired to work on The Hill, the pride of her parents as they wrote the Christmas letter that year. And here she is, under oath, being reminded of what life was life before she fell under the spell of George W. Bush. It’s same look a child gets when finding out that Santa doesn’t exist.

Any chance we’re going to see Gonzo up there again? That would be fun: “So, Mr. Gonzales, you’re OK with the FBI conducting unauthorized searches? You are aware that you took an oath to uphold the law, not just look the other way to make your boss happy, aren’t you?”

"In this case it’s Carl Levin.”
I think you mean Patrick Leahy… but either way, yeah!
And Leahy, is really a pretty good guy. He’s not some frothing at the mouth leftist lunatic… but he’s also not afraid to call bullshit on Bush’s… well, bullshit.
Although I should say that, the name screw up aside, I think this is one of your best posts Lee.
The Bush administration is just starting to look freaking ridiculous. I cannot believe I voted for these people…
And as you said, the worst part is that on some level, the left has been proven right. How fucking stupid, corrupt, and incompetant do you have to be to prove the far-left in this country right!?

Brian, when you got your law license, did you swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States? I sure as hell know you did when you were a Marine, so I know you know that there’s a world of difference between swearing to uphold and defend freedom and swearing loyalty to a politician.

Surly if you could overcome your allergy for the plywood shack you would then have to deal with that too? Would a .45 auto be overkill for shooting vermin? On second thought, I'll just torch the place and…
