"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803
Here’s another reason we need knife control in America.
One teen died and five others were injured after seven teens fought in a vacant lot near Bowie High School in southeast Arlington, police said.
Relatives identified the teen fatally stabbed Wednesday afternoon as 17-year-old Ruben Rosales, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
A school district official said the teen was a former Bowie student who had dropped out.
“We don’t have any reason to believe it was gang-related at this point,” said Sgt. Will Johnson, a police spokesman. “It’s our understanding that some of the individuals in the groups might have had some long-term disagreement or dislike for each other.”
Johnson said the teen who died was apparently stabbed, and the five other teens appear to have cut or stab wounds.
I expect to see Michael Moore back at K-Mart’s corporate headquarters any day now. Have you see how many different types of knives they sell? It’s shocking, I tell you, shocking! When the scourge of knives is removed from American society we will all be safer.
