Of course, there is “the be careful what you wish for” aspect. I thought the the Democrats were courting disaster when they tapped Howard Dean as DNC chair. But that’s worked out pretty well.

What was her big downfall outside of the lies that people blindly excepted as the truth
Hrm… letsee… Not being able to string two sentences together, not being able to handle Katie fucking Couric in a news interview, the line about “seeing Russia”, being a dyed-in-the-wool theo-con with a history of charging victims for rape kits, banning books (or inquires thereof), banning condoms from sex ed, a poor education, poor qualifications, fear of McCain dying…
I could go on for a while.

You do know the point of the DNC is to increase it’s office holders right? Not accumulate vast sums of money. The DNC has spent two election cycles kicking ass and taking names.
After every election cycle the DNC is (nearly) bankrupt, that’s the point. They spend all the money every two years.

Seattle Outcast: Historically, hosting the Olympics has always been a massive money loser. Seattle even went so far as to pass a law banning the city from doing so, and I know other places have done similar things to prevent the city council from engaging in such foolish thinking.

This graph is about right. I knew she’d fade away. I never understood the panic that she’d be running the show by now.
What was her big downfall outside of the lies that people blindly excepted as the truth (and who’s unfit for credibility there)? Her downfall was the ability to handle the media. If she does come back, she had better sharpen her skill. Crap is king in this country, and the better you can fling it, the more of a chance you got. I didn’t care for all of her views and so forth, and I wouldn’t have voted for her, but she was no less or more fit for the office than the guys we have now. In time, people are going to figure out the Messiah ain’t what he’s cracked up to be.
