Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803

No More Mr. Nice Guy
by Lee

This is actually pretty sad.

Chris Penn, a younger brother of Sean Penn who played supporting roles in films such as “Reservoir Dogs” and “Starsky & Hutch,” was found dead in his Santa Monica home, authorities said. Police do not suspect foul play.

Penn’s body was discovered in bed inside the condominium on Ocean Avenue, said Capt. Ed Winter of the county coroner’s office. He said the actor’s housekeeper called authorities.

There were no obvious signs of foul play, Lt. Frank Fabrega said. Autopsy results were pending. Police said Penn was 40 years old, though several celebrity Web sites list his age as 43.

In a statement through his publicist, Sean Penn said, “I can’t help but think that this never would have happened were it not for George W. Bush’s misguided war in Iraq.”

Ok Lee..Riddle me this..We know you are against torture and although I dont agree with you on a lot of it..I do respect your thoughts and views..Ok we got a suspect who wont talk and we send him to a country like Egypt or such who do torture..Is that wrong or right or in the grey area?

"Excuse me, Mr. Pink, but I think the last fucking thing you need is another cup of coffee.”

Man, I loved “Reservior Dogs”. Dude had been swelling for years though. My bet’s on hard living/heart attack. It is too bad. He was the cool Penn.

On torture:

“If you fucking beat this prick long enough, he’ll tell you he started the goddamn Chicago fire, now that don’t necessarily make it fucking so! “ -Nice Guy Eddie

Is Christopher Penn the guy who had some records out or is that another brother?

Somewhat ironic that the latest film he is working on is this. It must be reare 43 year olds just die in bed ...

More on torture:

“Cut off one of his fingers. The little one. Then tell him his thumb’s next. After that, he’ll tell you if he wears ladies underwear.”

assuming the typo is rare:

My sister’s husband died exactly the same way at 43 years old. She thought he was napping - unfortunately he wasn’t.

Enlarged heart - most likely due to untreated high blood pressure. The man had not had a serious physical check up in over 20 years - the condition was treatable if discovered.

This is a valuable lesson to all males over the age of 25 - don’t skip yearly physicals. (It’s also good advice for females - but they are much less likely to go without for so long.)

When was YOUR last check up?

Major Hit: “No Myth”, circa 1989. Great pop tune.

Sean Penn is a tool, but I can’t help but feel sorry for him.  I wish the Penn family peace in this hard time.

I wonder when Pat Robertson will declare he died because of his brother Sean being wicked…

Meh, Sean Penn didn’t deserve the death of his brother. Tragedy.

Plus Chris Penn sounds like a cool guy.
