Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803

Nice Guys Finish Last?

Paul Krugman makes it clear he’s not all that fond of Barack Obama.

On the big problems there’s a fundamental, deep-seated difference between the parties. I’ve always just felt that his tone was one suggesting that his inclination is to believe that we can somehow resolve these thing through a kind of outbreak of good feeling.

So, basically, Krugman’s beef seems to be that Obama is trying too hard to rise above party differences over issues that Mr. K thinks are important to “Progressives.” In other words, he’s for more of the same regardless of what he says otherwise. No wonder he prefers Hillary.

This is why, at this point in the race, Obama is the only candidate of either party that represents change AND has a chance of winning a nomination.
