Least Favorite
by Lee

I participated in the latest Right Wing News Poll, Right-Of-Center Bloggers Select Their Least Favorite People On The Right (2007 Edition).

Since RWN’s readership is primarily of the Bushbot variety, their choice of Ron Paul as the least favorite person on the right is not surprising.  An actual conservative spouting actual conservatism is not what the Republican Party is about today.  It’s about God, guns, and keeping Amurka safe from terrists.  Ron Paul has some surprising levels of support, thus the Bushbots are terrified that the other candidates will be forced to tack more towards the Libertarian side and away from the fundamentalist wackos.

Ron Paul was least liked by twice as many people as Ann Coulter?  We’re in for big, BIG trouble.

Why shouldn’t Ann be the Republican version of Hillary? She’s opinionated, abrasive, polarizing, a fake blonde...they’re practically twins.

In that case, at least Coulter isn’t actually up for election.

Right wing bloggers don’t seem too happy with the candidates right now. Why is that then? You have a christianist, an authoritarian in the Bush mold and a libertarian. That seems to cover the three strands of the Republican party; yet everyone is still so unhappy?

I’d like to see Ann run just for the debate with Shrillary. Now that would be a cat fight!

Well, the retards that are currently running the Republican party had better wake up, cause people like me who are generally fiscally conservative yet don’t give a shit about whether 2 guys like to fuck will not care that voting for Ron Paul will probably get Hillary or Obama elected. I’ll be happliy pulling the lever for Dr. Paul, and I won’t lose a moment’s sleep over it no matter the outcome.

It will serve the Republicans right to taste defeat yet again for having completely abandonded the few principles that they had remaining.

I thought Ron Paul was a ”fundamentalist wacko” by your standards.

Another observation:

8) Andrew Sullivan (11)
8) Chuck Hagel (11)
8) James Dobson (11)
8) Ann Coulter (11)

Libertarian boogeymen such as Coulter and Dobson are just as disliked as your buddy Andrew Sullivan.

What conclusions can you draw from that?
