Don't stay in bed, unless you can make money in bed. - George Burns
For all the flack that Bush deservedly got for malapropisms and mangling the English language, the most curious (and inaccurate) meme constructed by the left about Obama is that he is a smooth, articulate speaker. It’s total bullshit, of course--a quick internet search will bring up any number of Obama’s flubs, especially when his teleprompter goes on the fritz or isn’t there as a safety valve. Given how much unemployment has gone up since he took office, his actions during the notorious 60 Minutes interview look even more ridiculous.
Well, the euphoria of walking on the same grounds as Lenin and Stalin must have made Obama dizzy, because it caused him to utter this Freudian slip : (via Reuters)
MOSCOW (Reuters) - In a slip of the tongue, U.S. President Barack Obama described Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Monday as president, echoing the widely held view that he remains Russia’s most powerful man....
At a news conference Obama gave a carefully worded reply about the effectiveness of the leadership tandem when a U.S. journalist bluntly asked “who is really in charge here in Russia?”
But minutes later, speaking about Medvedev’s objections to a controversial missile defense system planned for central Europe, Obama slipped:
“I suspect when I speak to President..eh.. Prime Minister Putin tomorrow, he will say the same thing.”
I guess when the questions at the press conference aren’t pre-arranged, fuck-ups are bound to happen.

I don’t know, it’s kind of pushing it with saying he screwed up here, but I’m sure it would have been added to the list if Bush said it. Personally, my opinion of Obama would have gone up considerably if he would have said
“I suspect when I speak to [Puppet Master] Putin tomorrow, he will say the same thing.”
