Right Thinking From The Left Coast
"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing,
if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?"
-- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803

Gaffes and Conspiracies

Yesterday CNN, that noted right-wing spin machine, aired this graphic.

Today Crooks and Liars posted the Wolf Blitzer apology.

WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR:  One additional note, I just want to make a correction, an apology, Soledad, for what we did yesterday.  In “THE SITUATION ROOM,” we had a bad typographical error in one of ourgraphics.  We were doing a piece on the hunt for Osama bin Laden in this new year 2007.

Unfortunately there was a graphic, instead of saying where is Osama, it said where is Obama. We want to apologize for that bad typo.  We want to also apologize personally to Senator Barack Obama.  I’m going to be making a call to him later this morning to offer my personal apology –Soledad.

The really great thing is C&L’s little commentary at the end.

Good for them. It’s not too hard to set the record straight when mistakes are made, In Barack’s case, the right wing is making his name part of their slime machine now…

Remember, C&L is a website which will post every single gaffe that Fox ever airs, and use it as evidence of some vast right-wing media conspiracy.  But CNN?  Well, it was just a harmless little accident.  As for the right-wing slime machine defaming Obama’s name, I point you to that noted Bush-worshipping arch neocon fascist Ted Kennedy.

“Why don’t we just ask Osama bin—Osama Obama—Obama what—since he won by such a big amount.”

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), below, on Wednesday when asked about lessons from the victory of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

Seriously, what is it with liberals and their fucking conspiracy theories?

LOL… the liberal legion of the brain dead over at the D.U. are even worse than the examples you provided.

Morons like paddedcell, bobo, and dingleberry exist in abundance at the D.U.... where people are claiming that CNN is right-wing LOLOLOLOL

All rational people know that CNN Is left of center, but for people who are so far to the left, everything looks right wing from their vantage point

Because if it’s not failure because of a conspiracy, then it’s failure because of inferior policy and that’s too much for them to bear.

Barack Hussein Obama...your 44th President of the United States!

Seriously though, would this country EVER elect a guy to the Presidency with a name like that?  Even though the guy is a silver spoon liberal Democrat.

I hope they run him actually.  I hope like hell that pigs will fly in tight circles in a halo around Muhamed’s head before Obama would get elected POTUS.  Shit, I’d vote for Hitlery before I’d vote for a...gag...ex-muslim elitist.  Go ahead, call me a racist…

“Why don’t we just ask Osama bin—Osama Obama—Obama what—since he won by such a big amount.”

Come on, Ted Kennedy being drunk isn’t anything unusual.

God C&L;is so pathetic. I was curious, started clicking around, and they actually accuse Stephen Fuckin Colbert of promoting right wing ideas! God either they have no clue what sarcasm is, or they just post whatever they see as wrong no matter what context. Astonishingly pathetic.

That type of knee-jerk against eeevil KKKonservites makes me think Shmuckleberry is a poster there.

Oh man that’s funny. Obama wants to be president, and he is mistaken for this country’s most notorious enemy.

Remember that ridiculous one where CNN accidentally displayed a huge black X over Cheney during one of his speeches.

If you can find it, check out the horrific bagpipe playing as Ford’s casket was being moved into his library. Bad bagpipe playing is the worst sound known to man.

Maybe The Swimmer just thinks “they all look alike”

New rule: When linking to DU there should be a warning reminding viewers to wrap their head in tinfoil before clicking.

I swear, the far left must have no sense of self worth and therefore has to come up with secret alliances and conspiracies to “uncover and expose” in order for them to feel important.
