Don’t go after Obama or else…

I have been holding off discussing the Obama firing of IG Walprin, because there were too many conflicting issues that made the whole affair unclear. Now the MSM has done its best not to deal with this item, but blogs everywhere have discussed the apparent and obvious conflict of interest here. The Obama team claims Walprin is just inept and they have lost confidence in him. The government says they have people that will back that up. Walprin on the other hand, and he also has many people backing him up, says he was fired, after being given 1 hour to resign no less, because he called into question the special treatment given to a big Obama donor and friend - Kevin Johnson, former NBA star, mayor of Sacramento, and convicted of taking AmeriCorp grants for personal use and already ordered to repay more than $400,000 – has an even more convincing argument. But then I found out that Walprin is not the only IG recently to be dismissed by Obama because he was looking into serious problems. As you can see Neil Barofsky, responsible for the TARP bailout expenditures, was another target dismissed because he was causing trouble pointing out the corruption. And they are not alone. Another acting IG, Judith Gwynne, was told that her contract, which expires in early July, would not be renewed. She was investigating the International Trade Commission, which also seems to have some conflict with this investigation. What we have here is an indisputable pattern. You also can bet that if this was being done by Bush, that the MSM would not just be all over it, but already demanding we start impeachment proceedings, any investigations to determine culpability be damned. Chicago politics, now in DC. Who would have thunk that??

I seem to remember a BIG stink when Bush fired some people that he was entitled to fire.  Now that Obama is under a law that he helped pass, he basically wants it done on his word only.  This smells bad.  You’re right; it smells just like Chicago.

Please continue to talk about this, AlexinCT, I saw this story first on Malkins website, and I hope it continues to stay in the conversation of Obama’s conduct.

I bet these guys are going on The List, too. Disgruntled former employees could be a target of recruitment for terror organizations, after all!

Cronyism and corruption is a hallmark of Chicago politics - what else did you expect from someone that “won” is first election by having everyone else removed from the ballot?

Didnt he lose his first election to Bobby rush?

Damn.  I was writing my own post about this when I saw yours go up.

There’s more today.  The Obama people are talking about how courageous they are for being corrupt assholes.

This is absolutely disgusting.  We’re about to find out who was harping on the firing of US attorneys for political play and who was genuinely concerned about the corruption of justice.

Wouldn’t that make it the first election he lost? =)

Yeah, the sentence structure on that could use a bit of massaging to be more clear…

Hal, I saw that post about their claim they where being politically courageous after I had posted mine, thought about adding an update, and just decided to ignore it until it was brought up, hopefully by a moonbat trying to claim I was wrong, so I could put a hard beatdown on ‘em.

I’m with you on this. Disgusting doesn’t even start to explain how bad this is. This is definitely not the first such politically motivated action by the WH that begs the question. From the dismissal of the case involving voter intimidation in PA to the clear constitutional violation and government take over of 2 US car companies, only to then turn the majority holding over to donors, The list of things that would have brought the press down on Bush and headlines full of allegations of corruption in the WH keeps growing daily. And the shameful part is that I now suspect the usual propagandists in MSM will do what it takes to either deflect or bury these stories to protect the one. With Bush they were ready to lynch before there was proof. Now with ample proof they ignore, deflect, or even argue the case in favor of Obama. We are being had.

A good indication that the Obama people know they’ve done wrong is that they are changing their story.  First, it was that he was senile.  Now it’s that he didn’t play well with others.  They’ll be blaming him for poisoning the wells next.

Think this will sink in with the cultists and make a difference? Me, I bet they continue to tell us how great this guy is. In fact, my suspicion is that even if Obama was screwing them over personally they would keep worshipping him. That’s what’s so frightening about where we are today.

This sort of shenanigans is why I am not happy when the media are staffed, almost from top to bottom, with people who think that the President (or any official, come to it, but the example here is the President) walks on water, heals the sick, raises the dead, and turns water into wine.  If Watergate had happened under St. JFK, or St. Obama, the universal MSM reaction would be “Boys will be boys...”
