They might be useless against Nazis or terrorists, but the French really know how to take on waterfowl.

A satellite-tagged white stork whose progress was monitored by scientists for over 2,000 days was killed after it was electrocuted by power lines in France, a conservation group said on Wednesday.

BirdLife International said the stork, named Donna, had been tracked by satellite longer than any other bird on record and her death highlighted the dangers power lines pose to the elegant birds.

Well, at least we know why France’s birth rate is so low.

Oddly enough, the only time I was emotionally moved while watching Oliver Stone’s Alexander was when his horse got killed. That was pretty upsetting.

Since when did Alexander the Great have Scots in his army? Honestly…

I’m wondering why certain posts seem to have their comments shut down.  Is Lee doing it or is it a glitch?

Well sense this thread is about fried chicken.  Does anyone now anything about Option snowboards?  Looking into to buying one but I never met any one who uses that board.  Anyone, Anyone.

There is an issue in the blog software I use where if you write a specific something it can screw up a post.  I’m not going t say what it is, becuase I don’t want asshats doing it maliciously.  But if you type a certain text string everything goes poo-poo.  It’s fixed now.

Although it was only a stork (a female stork at that) and its death was apparently accidental, the French military claimed that it had set the power lines there specifically to catch such “invading enemy storks”.  Thus, France claimed its first military victory since the Napoleanic wars.

In the immortal words of Clancy Wiggum “That’s good work, boys”.
