An Inconvenient Divorce

She did it. First Laurie David was nothing more than a celebrity wife. Then she began her activism to try to make a name on her own, desperately trying to shed the celebrity wife saddle. And now that she’s a celebrity in her own right, she does the next logical thing.
Larry David’s wife has filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage.
Laurie David cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending their marriage, according to court documents filed July 13 in Los Angeles Superior Court. She is seeking joint custody of the couple’s two daughters, ages 13 and 11.
Representatives for Larry David, the co-creator of the NBC classic “Seinfeld” and star and creator of the HBO comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” did not immediately return messages left Thursday seeking comment.
Laurie David produced “An Inconvenient Truth,” the global-warming movie that won the Oscar for best documentary.
Considering both of them are environmentalist lunatics, I would have thought this was a marriage made in heaven.

I can just imagine the straw that broke the camel’s back:
Larry: “What do you mean I can only use one sheet of toilet paper to wipe my ass? That’s completely unrealistic!”
Laurie: “You fascist right-winger! I want a divorce!”
In all seriousness, I’m not so sure that Larry was all super-save-the-earth guy that Lee implies here. The impression I’ve gotten from some of his interviews is that he kind of went along with his wife during this whole crusade of hers to keep the peace at home. I guess if we see him driving around in an H3 over the next year, we’ll know for sure.
Perhaps she’s upgrading to someone that doesn’t come across as fucking moron/asshole?
Maybe he went along because she’d cut him off if he didn’t. I do that where getting the trash out is involved.....

Mississippi Yankee: HARLEY, I didn't "dig" anything on Gaius Baltar or what ever the fuck his name may be. He sent it to me because I called (and still do) his credentials in to question. As for my thinking- I have a limited education which is apparent in my little rants here…

Miguelito: I thought the interview sucked. Yeah, he asked a few hard questions, but he let Obama walk all over him. Continual use of "let me finish" to simply continue spouting a bunch of complete BS that just avoided actually answering the question asked of him. A good interviewer should interrupt…
