Right Thinking From The Left Coast
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one. - Albert Einstein

Among The Wingnuts IV

It’s never too early in a new administration for a conspiracy theory or two. First, there’s Obama’s UK fumble, as “Explained” in the NY Post:

Perhaps the president simply believes some other nation should replace Britain as our closest friend. (For a while, the Clinton administration meant to put Germany ahead of the UK.) Or perhaps Obama has a different view of the special relationship - one held by the likes of his onetime mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

These critics don’t see a legacy of freedom going back to Magna Carta. They see a historical procession of self-serving white males. And Churchill is not the man who singlehandedly stood up against Hitler and who warned us all about the Soviet Union’s iron curtain, but a white supremacist.

In this view (which also sees an America steeped in racism, colonialism and greed, rather than a nation dedicated to the proposition of liberty under law), there is no need to preserve any precious British-born legacy.

I guess it doesn’t occur to them that it might simply have been the gaffe of an inexperienced newbie. And then there’s the New Nazism:

BECK: So here you have Barack Obama going in and spending the money on embryonic stem cell research, and then some, fundamentally changing – remember, those great progressive doctors are the ones who brought us Eugenics. It was the progressive movement and it science. Let’s put science truly in her place. If evolution is right, why don’t we just help out evolution? That was the idea. And sane people agreed with it!

And it was from America. Progressive movement in America. Eugenics. In case you don’t know what Eugenics led us to: the Final Solution. A master race! A perfect person. …. The stuff that we are facing is absolutely frightening.

Yes, that’s right...stem cell research will lead to lead to a takeover by genetically perfect Barack Obama clones.

Note that I’m aware that eugenics was hugely popular with “Progressives” in the 1920’s, but to compare it with stem cell research is just beyond absurd.

As for hatin’ on the UK, Barack Obama is not dumb enough to ditch the relationship we’ve had with the Brits for more than two centuries.

Barack Obama is not dumb enough

Yes he is. You keep saying this, but he keeps doing dumb stuff.

Nobody takes Glenn Beck seriously.  I doubt Glenn Beck even takes Glenn Beck seriously.  It’s like he wants to be an “entertainer” like Limbaugh but he can’t even string together a coherent argument.  Also, he’s not the least bit entertaining.

Glenn Beck sucks…

But so does Obama…

And WVR…

Why doesn’t WVR post on Left Thinking from the Right Coast blog?

It was disgusting to watch Brown using every opportunity he could get to try to leech some of the popularity that Obama has. That being said, everyone knows Obama is the most overrated president in U.S history, Brown on the other hand has to be one of our worst leaders, uncharismatic, unconvincing and unelected. I’m sure he’s a friend to caffeine companies all over Britain as I’m sure they sell a lot based on how many people he routinely puts to sleep.

I thought it was funny how Brown gave Obama a penholder which was used on an anti-slavery ship, obviously putting a lot of thought into this while Obama gave Brown twenty five films to watch, this summarised the “special relationship” fairly well I thought.

25 films = “the gift that keeps on giving!”

Camille Paglia over at Salon summed up a lot of this quite well.

Now bad for a leftist bint.
