The usual Lame Stream Media propagandists must be desperate to try and defend the close to $1 trillion dollar stimulus patronage bill known as the “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009” as this desperate and transparently vain attempt by Time tries to make this pig pretty proves.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 — President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus — has been marketed as a jobs bill, and that’s how it’s been judged. The White House says it has saved or created about 3 million jobs, helping avoid a depression and end a recession. Republicans mock it as a Big Government boondoggle that has failed to prevent rampant unemployment despite a massive expansion of the deficit. Liberals complain that it wasn’t massive enough.

Have a look at what our DoJ has basically come up with in its pursuit of cash tied to civil rights lawsuits, because it is a doozie. Check this out:

The Justice Department has found a new way to pursue civil rights lawsuits, using the powers of the Civil Rights Division not just to win compensation for victims of alleged discrimination but also to direct large sums of money to activist groups that are not discrimination victims and not connected to a particular suit.

In the past, when the Civil Rights Division filed suit against, say, a bank or a landlord, alleging discrimination in lending or rentals, the cases were often settled by the defendant paying a fine to the U.S. Treasury and agreeing to put aside a sum of money to compensate the alleged discrimination victims. There was then a search for those victims—people who were actually denied a loan or an apartment—who stood to be compensated. After everyone who could be found was paid, there was often money left over. That money was returned to the defendant.

Now, Attorney General Eric Holder and Civil Rights Division chief Thomas Perez have a new plan. Any unspent money will not go back to the defendant but will instead go to a “qualified organization” approved by the Justice Department. And if there is not enough unspent money—that will be determined by the Department—then the defendant might be required to come up with more money to give to the “qualified organization.”

So the DoJ has come up with a “neat” way to increase big government’s ability to choose who will be the winners and who will be the losers. With their attempt to fool the people into allowing them to pass another trillion dollar stimulus patronage bill to funnel tons of cash to demcocrat operatives, lobbyists, agents, donors, and causes rebuffed, something like this becomes a godsend. Especially when some of these organizations now set up to benefit from this scam have been banned from getting government funds.

It also sure looks like the Obama Justice Department has come up with a new way to circumvent the pesky way Congress, even though it is now in demcorat hands and absolutely abhorred having to do so, defunded ACORN, and can now funnel cash to whatever these various pieces of ACORN – the name changed, the mission and tactics will stay the same - are called today.

Republicans are particularly concerned that the “qualified organizations” money might end up with groups that are associated with the community organizing group formerly known as ACORN. Republican lawmakers want to avoid sending federal money to groups that Congress has deemed unsuitable to receive it.

And it doesn’t stop there. There is a whole lot more that is wrong with this whole scam.

But the concerns of Republicans, and perhaps some Democrats, go beyond ACORN and other activist groups. The new Civil Rights Division tactic represents a departure from a fundamental principle of such cases, which is the pursuit of justice on behalf of actual victims. “If the Department of Justice recovers funds for alleged civil rights violations, the money should go to compensate victims or to the Treasury,” says Bob Driscoll, who was a top official in the Civil Rights Division during the first two years of the George W. Bush administration.

My bet is that the victims, real or imagined, will soon not be getting any money, as this new DoJ scam will end up just funneling as much as it can to the usual scumbags. And Bush was the one they said was running and illegal fascist government. Go figure. That’s “Hope & Change” for you in the age of Obama.

Check out this map about state debt and borrowing. Not surprised to see that most of the blue states lead the pack. In fact, my home state of Connecticut - which has a higher public employee roll than the stat of Texas with a fraction of the population - where liberals have ruled for decades, leads the pack. When things get bad, they borrow and raise spending. What did surprise me was how many other blue states weren’t right up there with Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey, which all leave a failing state like California in the dust. Bright future we have here with this stuff.

The democrats and the left went a long way during the 8 years of George Bush to fool Americans into thinking that he was and ran a fascist government that was deprived people of their freedoms. That, of course, was primarily because GWB, unlike so many others, fought the attempt of demcorats to steal the 2000 and prevented them from keeping power. Liberals went batshit after Al Gore’s lawyers and the Florida Supremes were blocked from stealing the election for Gore, by allowing demcorats to create arbitrary and varying counting standards, suppress military ballots, and a slew of other shenanigans, by the SCOTUS. Couple that with the fact that, as Bill Clinton lamented, 9-11 happened and gave Bush the chance to look presidential – sounds to me like he was hoping it could have happened when he was lying his sorry ass off under oath about his lack of zipper control – and most Americans knowing by now Al Gore is a crazy bastard. The wars that followed the 9-11 attacks, and the fact that Americans rejected yet another elitist lefty loser – John “Did I tell you I won 3 Purple Hearts, even if I wrote them up for myself” Kerry - in 2004, and you can see the slide into madness. They were in fact so batshit that they conspired to elect what will go down as one of America’s weakest and most destructive presidents in 2008.

Ever since then however, we have seen real government abuse, a drastic decrease of our freedoms, and all the stuff they falsely accused Bush of happening. We hear daily accounts, not from the colluding MSM that I has become nothing more than an echo chamber, propaganda outlet, and an apologist machine for these collectivist, of how this government chooses to arbitrarily enforce or not to enforce laws by race, class, or political expediency.  In fact, we even have admissions from one them now, in what appears to be a candid moment, that they think they pretty much can do whatever they want, whenever they want to. That kind of attitude is frightening, but remember, only conservatives are evil fascists and don’t care much for either the constitution or the law! These bastards are playing for keeps, and unless we want to wake up one day in a country that is modeled after Fidel’s Cuba or Chavez’s Venezuela, we better give them their pink slips in November. And Republicans better beware too. If they are going to bring us more of the same, then we will just have to get rid of both parties.

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act. The law, signed last week by President Obama, exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from “surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities.” Given that the SEC is a regulatory body, the provision covers almost every action by the agency, lawyers say. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.

Yeah, this is going to work out real well for us all…

The real big revelation?

A trove of military documents made public on Sunday by an organization called WikiLeaks reflects deep suspicions among American officials that Pakistan’s military spy service has for years guided the Afghan insurgency with a hidden hand, even as Pakistan receives more than $1 billion a year from Washington for its help combating the militants.

Yawn! As if this was not obvious already. Maybe we need to talk more to the Pakis and cut off their funding. Let their Chinese buddies pay for them. Military investigators are checking computers used by Pfc. Bradley Manning, who somehow made it into an intelligence analyst slot, and then got charged this month with leaking this classified information for whatever idiotic reason. I hope that he spends a lot of time in Leavenworth, being “loved long time” at a minimum, or hangs for this treasonous act. The MSM, and especially these losers, are an enemy of this state.

Anyway, the left is dead set in pretending these documents show war crimes. Of course these morons would not know a war crime if it bit them in the arse, and only believe that the US or other NATO troops can commit war crimes - where else have we heard something just like that, huh? - anyway, so take it all with a grain of salt. As I suspected, this moron released mostly boring and low level contact reports, and while it is obvious that there will be information that is damaging to security, the troops, and operations, I doubt there will be anything that is going to satisfy the left’s need for a grand conspiracy and rampant war crimes after this revelation about the documents classification status made it obvious that:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon said on Monday that its review of the leak of secret military documents on the war in Afghanistan would take “days if not weeks” and that it was too soon to assess their damage. WikiLeaks, an organization promoting the leaking of information to fight corporate and government corruption, on Sunday said it released 91,000 U.S. military documents on the war stretching back to 2004.

This Australian newspaper also seems not to know WikiLeaks is one giant joke where fake is real and not give them so much legitimacy, but who then again, it doesn’t fit the narrative. Speaking of narrative, check out this beat down:

Well, the issue of civilian casualties is a major one and the U.S.  has taken a lot of criticism because of this. However, what’s interesting to note that is according to the documents, 195 Afghan civilians have been killed. But also according to the documents, two thousand Afghan civilians have been killed by the Taliban, which is more than ten times the number said to be killed by U.S. and NATO forces. And very little is being made of that.

I have been asking the same question. Why is the western media obsessed with how many people we kill but always giving these barbarians a pass? At a minimum it puts into serious doubt their motives and makes it clear that there is an agenda, and then not a good one. When the agenda is that leaks that compromise lefty reporters and their agenda is bad, but any leaks that kill American troops and hampers America’s ability to fight wars against evil people while helping those fighting America is good, you have a problem. In case you are not seeing the obvious swipe here, I am discussing the left’s reaction to the t revelations about Journolist and their shenanigans, up and including their collusion to defend and elect the idiot now living in the WH, versus the reaction from the left about the release of documents intended to hurt American troops during a war.

Don’t you worry though! The left will have someone on their side cook up the facts just right. Maybe they can get Oliver Stone to do it for them after he reforms Hitler’s & Stalin’s images so the left no longer needs to remember that these two collectivists combined to kill close to a hundred million people in a war, and that Stalin fellow killed a few tens of millions more of his own people and a few hundred million more, leaving billions in chains, as their filthy collectivist ideology spread across the globe.

Man the freak show is getting even funnier! Looks like the house democrats are all pissed at the WH for throwing them under the bus after they carried Obama’s water. And they have good reason to complain seeing they are looking at Armageddon come November.

House Democrats are lashing out at the White House, venting long-suppressed anger over what they see as President Obama’s lukewarm efforts to help them win reelection—and accusing administration officials of undermining the party’s chances of retaining the majority in November’s midterm elections.

In recent weeks, a widespread belief has taken hold among Democratic House members that they have dutifully gone along with the White House on politically risky issues—including the stimulus plan, the health-care overhaul and climate change—without seeing much, if anything, in return. Many of them are angry that Obama has actively campaigned for Democratic Senate candidates but has done fewer events for House members.

The boiling point came Tuesday night during a closed-door meeting of House Democrats in the Capitol. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) excoriated White House press secretary Robert Gibbs‘s public comments over the weekend that the House majority was in doubt and that it would take “strong campaigns by Democrats” to avert dramatic losses.

After they sold their souls to push the Obama agenda, they are now literally being abandoned by the WH, which knows that the house donkeys are going to take the hit for the Obama agenda and the utter failure and disastrous future it represents.

Frankly I think Pelosi and these other moonbats should be thankful Obama isn’t showing up to help them. Helping get Obama’s policies enacted IS why they are going to get hammered come November. I am not sure I understand what they hope Obama can do for them short of telling Holder to turn away from rampant fraud most of them would need to make it a close race.

Pascrell and Pelosi were the only Democrats to address the meeting. But interviews with more than 10 lawmakers and senior aides, from liberal and conservative districts, made it clear that scores of House Democrats at the gathering shared Pascrell’s and Pelosi’s dissatisfaction. Most of those interviewed did not want to be quoted by name criticizing the president.

Heh, guess having a Chicago thug Prez does have its drawbacks. Piss him off and you pay the prize. Priceless.

One House Democrat compared their relationship with the White House to the 1970s Life commercials starring “Mikey,” the kid whose brothers trick him into eating the cereal. “There’s a sense that’s the White House’s attitude toward us,” the lawmaker said. “And now, Mikey ate it and he’s choking on it, and there’s no appreciation.”

At least Mikey was given a cereal that wasn’t toxic, like all the crap these democrat went to bat to pass for Obama was, in that commercial. Choke on it you bastards! The American people were given a ginat shit sandwich from Obama and you, so it is well deserved.

Well, it looks like some more truth about how disastrous and unlikely to really be possible the promises made by the left to push for the new government healthcare takeover will be is trickling out:

The Obama administration has not ruled out turning sick people away from an insurance program created by the new healthcare law to provide coverage for the uninsured. Critics of the $5 billion high-risk pool program insist it will run out of money before Jan. 1, 2014. That’s when the program sunsets and health plans can no longer discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. Administration officials insist they can make changes to the program to ensure it lasts until 2014, and that it may not have to turn away sick people.

So let me get this straight. First off, these collectivist are admitting that in order to keep the existing programs solvent and viable till 2014 when the big daddy takeover goes into high gear, they will need to likely deny care to “some” sick people? That is unless they can make some changes to the $5 billion high risk pool program to make it viable until 2014? Care to guess what the changes will be? Don’t need to man. It’s right there:

Officials said the administration could also consider reducing benefits under the program, or redistributing funds between state pools. But they acknowledged turning some people away was also a possibility.

So, in order to not have to turn away the expensive sick, the rest will have to do with less, subpar being the more likely case, coverage. Bet you get both. Less coverage, and people turned away. Of course, since government will do it now, it is still better than getting better care and less people turned away from the private insurers! Don’t worry though! The collectivists are coming to the rescue!

Leading health reform advocate Ron Pollack, founding executive director of Families USA, said the pools were a “very imperfect tool that could be implemented quickly” but were the best option available for the interim period before 2014.“The pools are going to be helpful for a significant number of people,” he told The Hill, “but nobody thought they’re the ultimate answer for helping people with pre-existing conditions.” Still, he didn’t rule out that Families USA could press lawmakers to allocate more money in a few years if it looks like the program needs it.

Well DUH! Just demand more cash! So, since there simply isn’t enough money to go around and pay for all of this, no matter what these bozos pretend otherwise, what we will get is this program costing twice, or more, as much as the allocates $5 billion, the coverage being piss poor, AND people still being turned away.

Not bad. Here is the kicker, though. Nobody seems to point out the obvious: that come 2014 when the big government healthcare takeover takes place, we will be left with a lot more of the same – they won’t turn people away, just drag their feet until they die and then save money – we are seeing here. Only then it will cost trice, if not more, as much to the same effect. Ain’t we lucky the collectivists managed to get government to take over healthcare? Fun, fun!

Here is what the future of those that adopt socialism looks like. No supposedly modern western nation has flirted as heavily with socialism – in fact there are is a large part of the population that is down with hard core communism – than the Greeks. And I say supposedly modern, because the Greeks sure as hell don’t show the productivity level of a modern state. Then again, when you get paid for 13 months during a 12 month year, have a couple of those months off, retire at 63 – that’s new and imposed as part of the austerity measures, btw – don’t work much when you are supposed to (I know this from first and second hand experience) and in general have an economy that is primarily based on ways of avoiding the normal and massive taxation with the least amount of work, some might think it is modernity, but most of us see is as slackers living off others.

The rescue package “effectively eliminates any near-term risk of a liquidity-driven default and encourages the implementation of a credible, feasible, and incentive-compatible set of structural reforms, which have a high likelihood of stabilizing debt service requirements at manageable levels,” said Moody’s senior analyst Sarah Carlson. “Nevertheless, the macroeconomic and implementation risks associated with the program are substantial and more consistent with a Ba1 rating,” Carlson added.

Yeah, that’s because basically everyone knows this stuff eventually fails and causes an economic implosion. If your Income is X and your expenditures are 1.3X, something has got to give. And more borrowing, like Greece was allowed to do, isn’t the answer. And keep in mind that the Greeks just got assurance that the other idiots that comprise the EU can’t afford to let them fail. Of course, their reaction will be to pretend they are fixing things, but we will be back at this exact same spot in a short time. After all, why do any kind of heavy lifting when the other suckers have to bail you out? Of course the Greeks won’t be the last ones needing a bailout. That’s just going to speed up the day when the Germans and other contributors - European countries and the US – will find themselves in the same boat only their money supply will have been wasted on the various Greek-a-likes.

Fitch currently rates Greece at BBB-minus, the lowest investment-grade level, with a negative outlook, which implies more than 50 percent possibility of a donwngrade.

That’s for those that are going to argue otherwise. Collectivism sucks. It is doomed to failure and causes nothing but suffering. One has to wonder why we think following these lemmings off the cliff is a good thing.

You know we in the West have horribly botched up dealing with the Iranian leadership’s nuclear ambitions when the Saudis are siding with Israel against Iran. True, Arabs in general have feared Iran, and with good reason, and they aught to fear a nuclear armed Iran run by these maniacs even more. They know that the Obama and UN sanctions against Iran will accomplish nothing. Just like all the other wasted talk over the last 8 years or so. And that Iran basically is now emboldened, not just to build nukes, but likely to use them - you do not have to fire off the nuke to cause all kinds of mayhem as North Korea has already demonstrated - against an impotent West. The Saudis are thus quite contempt to let the Jews do the hard and dirty work, then go to the UN and complain a bit – they need that show for the morons that live in the ME to continue to believe the propaganda that all their ills come from evil Jews, and not the fact that their cultures are dysfunctional and destructive – to save face. Let’s pray Israel does what the rest of the world should have, and saves us all from a real Armageddon. Not like they will ever get their kudos for doing it though

As usual, we are now finding out that more of those scary things those of us that pointed out Obamacare was going to screw us all over hard, only to be accused by the left of fear mongering if not outright lying, is turning out to be true:

Internal White House documents reveal that 51% of employers may have to relinquish their current health care coverage by 2013 due to ObamaCare. That numbers soars to 66% for small-business employers. The documents — product of a joint project of the Labor Department, the Health and Human Services Department and the IRS — examine the effects new regulations would have on existing, or “grandfathered,” employer-based health care plans.

Welcome to government control of your healthcare plan, even if you didn’t want it! When we told people Obamacare’s agenda was to indirectly push us all into government controlled healthcare, we got accused of being evil fear mongering bastards that wanted to kill little children. I hope that it is Obama supporters that get screwed the hardest by their support for this disgusting government power grab that put them in charge of healthcare monies and decision making processes. No, not because I am evil. Because I want some kind of justice. The real kind, not that faux “social justice” bullshit.

Here is a prediction: there will be tons more revelations like this one that will come out as we find out more and more about how bad this healthcare takeover is for us citizens. In the end, this takeover will do far more damage to the economy and healthcare costs and coverage than no changes would have. But that’s not news to those of us that live in the real world where stupid decisions have consequences.

Well, considering how many promises he has broken so far and how many more look like they will have to be broken to keep the scam alive, I feel I should give Obama his props for keeping at least one promise.When he told Joe the Plumber that he believed that the wealth should be spread around, he seems to have meant it. And the latest statistics seem to back his promise to do so up. Of course there is always a little twist, and when he spoke about spreading the wealth… Well don’t take it from me, here is the article’s take on it:

Paychecks from private business shrank to their smallest share of personal income in U.S. history during the first quarter of this year, a USA TODAY analysis of government data finds. At the same time, government-provided benefits — from Social Security, unemployment insurance, food stamps and other programs — rose to a record high during the first three months of 2010. Those records reflect a long-term trend accelerated by the recession and the federal stimulus program to counteract the downturn. The result is a major shift in the source of personal income from private wages to government programs.

Other than the fact I get irked whenever the MSM refers to that government scam that funneled close to a trillion of our tax payer dollars to demcorat operatives & agents, past and future donors, friends and entities, and finally to the demcorat politician’s campaign chests, to “stimulate” their chances come the 2010 elections, as a “federal stimulus program”, I would say that they got the gist of what this new breed of statist collectivists are all about down pat.

We are being led by the same kind of “intelligencia” groups that make up your usual liberal arts college academia, and it is not a coincidence that they feel the solution to all problems is a government led by them, that micromanages and relies on central planning and direct or indirect ownership & control of all aspects of the economy, to achieve their socialist Utopia. It’s no wonder then that the loathed private industry is being sucked dry while government spending grows drastically. It’s also no surprise to those of us that understand how economics work in the real world, that this practice is causing exactly the opposite effect these know-nothing nincompoops with overinflated egos and delusions of their own importance and wisdom thought it would, and wrecking our economy. Literally government is now in the business of picking winners & losers, not just as far as individuals go, but which businesses make it, what technologies or practices are adopted or avoided, and doing so not with any kind of scientific rigor or logic – they might claim otherwise but that’s just bull, and the demcorats are the ones that get to choose them. For a small fee, of course.

The irony is that at a time when the socialist nanny state is clearly failing in Europe, our politicians are breaking all records recreating the same failed economic model in our country. And while the collectivists now running the US are downplaying the whole European crisis and unavoidable collapse of the whole socialist nanny state – wealth redistribution without the creation of new wealth, something the socialist state excels at, only works for so long, after all -the Chinese are worrying. The statists are taking us in the wrong direction. In their ever expanding need for cash, these demcorats are already looking at such “solutions” as taking over everyone that isn’t working for government’s retirement funds. Props to Obama, however, for keeping a promise....

Social conservatism should be just that...social. A circumstance that is created by the practices and attitudes of citizens as a byproduct of their social interactions. Voluntary and ever-changing, it can and should only exist as a concept because we the people make it so, not because a career politician or a True Believer deems it so.  It is not and should not be made part of the political - and thereby the law making - process of this country.

Lately, a new meme has been circulating among those who want to banish pornography from our society.  Embraced by Right and Left, the argument is that porn is giving men unrealistic expectations about sex, becoming a substitute for real relationships and destroying marriages, endangering kids and destroying the ozone layer.  I’ve responded to this bullshit before, but the recent articles have got me looking at the issue in a different way.
