"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing, if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?" -- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803 Wednesday, May 11, 2005Blind Justice

Longtime readers of this blog will know that I think the Americans With Disabilities Act is one of the worst pices of legislation signed into law in recent memory. Here’s why.
This is just such a stupid idea I can’t even begin to explain it. Say you left your baby with them, and while it was asleep in the crib it stopped breating. How would either of these people know? “Sorry. Normally the blue color would indicate that the baby had stopped breathing, but because I’m blind I didn’t see it. Luckily my sense of touch is still perfect, so when I felt the baby had turned cold I called an ambulance. Unfortunately the baby was dead by then.”
What’s next, blind airline pilots?
