"To what purpose are powers limited, and to what purpose is that limitation committed to writing, if these limits may, at any time, be passed by those intended to be restrained?" -- Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1803 Wednesday, May 11, 2005Kofi’s Hit Whores

A little while ago I received an email from some website called UN Dispatch, which is apparently a UN blog. The email simply said, “Getting to the root of Simon’s Oil-for-Food fixation:” and gave the above link. Go check out the page. Apparently some gung-ho UN freaks are a bit upset that Roger has been focusing on the UN’s corruption and ineptitude rather than on other matters, such as what the UN allegedly does right. At the bottom of the list they point out Roger’s true motivation.
Now, does anyone else see the irony here? Apparently this blog is, according to Michelle Malkin, “run by former John Kerry campaign aides.” Considering I had never heard of this UN blog before today, I somehow ended up being subject to their mass mailing. Who’s out trolling for hits now? I wonder how many hits these UN idiots are going to get today? It’s interesting to note that there is virtually nothing on the list of UN “accomplishments” that actually requires the UN. Everything on there could be accomplished by a humanitarian group set up by a group of the world’s ten richest countries, and the UN could go rot.
I also love the name of their blog. I could think of a few places I’d like to dispatch the UN.
