I've done a courtesy search for the term why not speak for you. See if you can find what you're looking for in the list below:
Well, after some 3 1/2 disastrous years, riddled with bad and destructive policy that put the protection and expansion of the nanny-state over the welfare of the citizenry, I am not surprised to find out that with the race card losing its power because they over played it so heavily for the past 4 ½ years, that democrats now need training on how to effectively play that race card for better effect:
House Democrats
One of the themes I always return to is “it’s cute when we do it”, which is shorthand for the way Democrats and their media dogwashers will denounce the Republicans for … well, take your pick: filibusters, indefinite detention, unconstitutional wars, signing statements, executive overreach, etc. … but then go eerily quiet when Obama does the exact same fucking thing. Or even worse, they will somehow contort themselves to believe that Obama’s behavior is better … Read more
A hundred years, my, how time flies. I spent the sinking of the Titanic centennial watching the only factual, truly amazing depiction of the actual event, A Night To Remember on TCM. You want a fairly accurate portrayal, sans dopey Hollywood alliteration and creative license, this is where you go. A few years back there was a nice Titanic exhibit that, while making it’s way around the nation, made a stop in my area. … Read more
Sandra Fluke was not just a liberal political activist the LSM tried hard to portray as a disadvantaged college waif unable to make ends meet without the help of big daddy government, but in fact a connected insider linking straight to those trying to make political hay out of contraceptives.
As we reported last night, “The Factor” believes that the Sandra Fluke contraception controversy was manufactured to divert attention away from the Obama administration’s
I’m sure you’ve heard about Rush Limbaugh’s increasingly provocative comments on birth control. In brief, Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke testified that birth control pills cost a typical woman about $3000 over a three year timescale and that this was quite a burden for students. Some Right Wing idiot calculated how many condoms that would buy (several thousand) and yucked it up about just how much birth control she needed and how much sex she … Read more
The Stolen Valor Act — which criminalizes making false claims about military service — is up for review by the Supreme Court. The case involves a California politician who made up a Marine career, including a Medal of Honor. You can see the case for here, which is basically a argument that the Constitutional protection of free speech should not be extended to lies.
But I find myself, not surprisingly, agreeing with Jacob Sullum… Read more
The Left Wing is atwitter over documents leaked from the Heartland Institute, a think tank that is at the forefront of climate skepticism. There’s a bunch of stuff there but … I’m kind of unimpressed. Most of it is about raising money from the likes of the Eeevil Koch Brothers. These are the evil pair who funded the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature program which … um, confirmed the purported temperature trends using the most robust … Read more
Normal people often wonder why some feel the call to go into government. Most will tell you it is about some nonsense like wanting to make a difference or to help their fellow men. But the truth, especially with the ones that are the most vocal about hearing the call to public service because they want to make a difference, is that it is an awesome money making scheme. Case in point another member of … Read more
I was terribly surprised to find out that one of the world’s richest guys whom offered lip service to Obama’s “tax the rich” class warfare nonsense back when his insurance companies stood to make huge financial gains if the Feds jacked up taxes, and especially estate taxes, on the rich, ended up having another one of his companies making out like a damn bandit after the WH killed the Keystone XL pipeline. One of Warren … Read more
This is enough to make you wish we could bring corporal punishment back into the justice system … and use it on prosecutors:
A 6-year-old Grant County boy has been accused of first-degree sexual assault after playing “doctor” with two 5-year-old friends.
Now, a federal lawsuit has been filed against the prosecutor, who attorneys said is trying to force the boy to admit guilt.
The boy’s parents had planned to speak with WISC-TV on Monday
