  • Unemployment, Obamanomics, and the young.

While this news comes as no surprise to me, I wonder how many are actually getting it. Especially with the LSM constantly lying about recovery being right around the bend or happening. But the indisputable fact is that some of the people that where the most smitten with the collectivist community organizer and his message of “Hope & Change” now are the ones suffering the most from the politics that flow from those beliefs and … Read more

  • Wanker Introduces Bill Banning Wanking Off

No worries, our elected officials got things well in hand. 70 million Americans receiving governmental assistance, 48.5 percent of the U.S. population now living in households that receive some type of government benefit, unemployment high/U.S. growth both in business and confidence low, it’s all good because the politicians have their finger on the pulse of America, have taken it’s temperature and know exactly what is needed to offer some relief:

    Oklahoma’s proposed anti-abortion Senate

  • Pill Fight!

I believe I’ve made it clear where I stand on the whole “forcing religious charities to cover birth control in their insurance policies” issue:

    1) I am pro-choice (mostly), pro-birth control, pro-women’s rights and anti-Religious Right Nutbaggery.

    2) I think forcing insurance to cover birth control is misguided and a ridiculous intrusion into free markets.

    3) The religious issues the Catholic Church has with this mandate only increase my opposition.

The bullshit on this issue, … Read more

  • Loose Lips

About 2 weeks ago I read a scathing article in the WSJ, penned by a recently retired former ST6 Navy Seal, who was more then critical of the Obama administration and his megaphone style handling of ST6 and their recent exploits. As background he admitted that he was retired before the OBL cacking, he had been on a number of similar high profile missions. The gist of the article was that Obama, his staff, and … Read more

  • Lawsuit of the Week

Tipped to me by Harley, with the words, “Lee would have LOVED this“. A lawsuit is being filed over … well …

    8. [Defendant] was highly intoxicated on this date and time, and decided in his drunken stupor that it would be a good idea to shoot bottle rockets out of his anus on the [Alpha Tau Omega fraternity] deck, located on the back of the ATO house.

    10. [Defendant] placed a bottle rocket

  • Glimpse of the future?

One of the contractors working for me send me a link to a Reuters story about how India is scrambling to update its military capability out of fear of Chinese expansionism. Here is an excerpt:

(Reuters) – India’s 1.3 million-strong armed forces, hobbled by outdated equipment and slow decision-making, are undergoing an overhaul as defence priorities shift to China from traditional rival Pakistan.

And like a refit of the imposing but dilapidated defence ministry

  • A Tale of Two Cities’ Schools

You haven’t heard much about Bobby Jindal lately, have you? You probably should have:

Post-Katrina New Orleans is already the nation’s leading charter-school zone, with 80% of city students enrolled, academic performance improving dramatically, and plans to go all-charter by 2013. To spread the model statewide, the Governor would create new regional boards for authorizing charters and offer fast-track authorization to high-performing operators such as KIPP. He’d also give charters the same access to

  • Class warriors think they have a new angle, but it is a big fail

This morning I was watching some post SOTU interviews to catch up on the reactions to the speech. I turned off the TV before the speech ended, because there is just so much bullshit I can take in one sitting, and went to bed, a more productive use of my time, by far. So there they had a panel discussing the aftermath, and on it was with some lady from some institute for progressive something … Read more

  • Get a Warrant

    Wow:

The Supreme Court on Monday put the brakes on the government’s use of high-tech monitoring devices to track motorists, ruling unanimously that police and the FBI violated the 4th Amendment by attaching a GPS device to a Jeep owned by a drug suspect.

The justices all agreed that the government needs a search warrant from a judge before it seeks to track a suspect by secretly installing a device on his car.

    There’s … Read more

  • Proof is in the pudding..

A while back, when we where debating the democrat’s demand that they be allowed to raise taxes as part of the strategy being looked at to bring the outrageous and out of control government spending that has been going on since the democrats took control of congress and the purse strings back in 2007. Some of us pointed out how horrible an idea allowing them to raise revenue now , while pretending to make cuts … Read more
