Life Support?

Several rhetorical questions have been buzzing around in my head lately;

Is the Democratic Party dying right before our eyes? The flies consuming the carcass (Al Franken, seriously?) is one good indicator.

Without academia running the indoctrination centers and the MSM shilling for them, would the actual expiration be more pronounced?

And is Trump orchestrating the media now exactly like he did when he was running for president? Stogy’s comments the other day about what a mess the inner working’s of the WH is (like the MSM is going to write anything positive), Svengali Bannon creating discord, internal squabbling, people attending meetings they have no business attending (Stogy’s words), haphazard frenetic activity with no purpose, the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, and now chaos is impending because it is uncertain whether Trump wears a bathrobe or not. Gee, sounds like things could blow any second. OK, I’m done snickering. I can just see Trump sitting in his comfy chair, a lit Montechristo number four in one hand, and 3 fingers of Glenlivet Nadurra in the other after a long day and him chuckling to himself how easy the MSM is manipulated.

Sure, there is still about a thousand different ways Trump could stumble, but with the following examples of his opposition, what did Rush use to say, “With one hand tied behind his back”?

Going to show that even after 9 years of blaming Bush for everything, it is so reflexively lazy, yet the base buys is every time.

Example #2;

Good thing Korea is not part of NATO. 2 weeks in and “Impeachment” is on the table, yea for responsible governance. I know they are old and haven’t expressed an original thought in 2 decades, but this is who they trot out for opposition photo ops, like nobody younger/smarter/more aligned with your average voter, they have no one else in the bull pen.

A few thoughts about the Devos confirmation, what was the purpose of their all night groping session with each other on the Senate floor last night? What is the purpose of their constant stalling re: cabinet confirmations? What is the purpose of bombarding potential cabinet members with thousands of written questions? They are all eunuchs, powerless to do jackshit, yet they play their silly games. Not even showing up to the hearing? How embarrassing is that.

I expected zero drama in Devos’ confirmation, it was all orchestrated by McConnell to perfection. Collins and Murkowski were both allowed to oppose (and appease their voters back home) and still Trump got his pick, as he should.

It is said that you can tell a lot about a person by their enemies. Once I found out that the NEA made her public enemy number one, I was immediately intrigued. I blame the teachers unions for most of the nations education failures. Too expensive, churning out substandard (in comparison to all other first world nations) students every year, ill prepared to compete globally, inefficient, bloated, wasteful and really accountable to no one since they get their way (more school bonds, please, you can never throw too much money at education) in all elections. Hopefully Devos will suck some wind out of their sails and mitigate the damage they have done to our kids. Think globally but act locally, she is for giving the individual states more say (more in line on what the founders intended), giving parents more control and freedom over what schools their kids attend and more accountability for those schools to the parents.

Now, get off your ass and get the rest of the cabinet confirmed.

    On the other hand, the GOP leadership still can’t seem to quite figure out what to do with Obamacare-you know, that thing they promised to repeal?

    But the Democrats have literally become your grandmother’s party-you don’t let her wander off by herself.

    They better get on that or people are going to get really pissed. I know I will be.

    I am loving all the mocking of the current three-ring shit-show of a circus. One just now….’Very important to get your DeVos jokes in while people can still read’.

    ’Very important to get your DeVos jokes in while people can still read’.

    Something you would know if you lived over here, many of those living in the inner cities can’t read. Lucky for you that you don’t have the NEA overseeing your education system, but over here kids are graduating dumber and dumber, something Devos understands.

    So, we’ve had insiders in this position for decades and we’ve continued to spend more money and lose more traction in education. Scores have gotten lower, the ability for teachers to teach as needed has been restricted but spending has grown and been wasted at historical levels.

    Maybe it is time for an outsider to look at this. Because doing the same thing over and over (see the unions wanting to have the same types in this position) is not working and people are getting tired of requests for money and less choice in educating their children.

    On it’s face one would wonder why, given the low amount of money Education actually has in it’s budget (say compared to State or Defense), why the democrats would spend so much political capital, so much time and effort in defeating Devos. Further highlighting the unholly alliance between the teachers unions and the Dem. party, education and environmentalists, the two handed master that has enslaved the democratic party.

    How it must gall the progressives, a rich white woman who cares more and has done more for the inner city black kids of the nation, a woman (a Christian at that, double burn) who chose philanthropy and bettering the lot of those that have been let down by those phonies in power in the big cities.

    Well, the Senate performance is over, and for Sessions too. Now we get to see how they actually manage things. It’s all on them (and Trump) from now on.

    Rich there was no Republican support for Obamacare and you suggested that it shouldn’t proceed on the basis (part of the reason at least). I assume you consider these appointments to be quite different (i.e. nobody from the other side needs to agree)?  Her performance demonstrated how unsuitable she is to the role, but it didn’t matter at all. The confirmation process seems to be pure pretense, why bother with it? If she’s a fully-paid-up vehicle to deliver ‘school choice’ and damage public education then why can’t everyone just be honest about it?

    Not only the ‘inner city’ (where all the blacks live) Rich – no longer will kids out in the rural areas be killed by grizzly bears. Truly a win for everyone.

    Free-market education, by a woman who has never held a professional position as an educator, never studied education who’s mission in education is to advance God’s kingdom.

    Gee, what could go wrong (aside from everything)? LOL. But, as stogy rightly says, let’s see how she goes.
