Perspective

As usual, if you followed the media narrative this morning when the sad story broke out about another stupid attack at Ohio State, their speculation went one way, and obviously the wrong way. Before enough facts where out, and as this always plays out with the narrative crowd, the idiots writing articles and commenting at the usual lefty dives such as the HuffPro insane asylum called it all wrong. For this crowd, i had to be Trump supporting, gun toting assholes that are stealing America from the good-thinkers, like them, that obviously did it! More gun laws are going to be needed, and since anyone that is a Trump supporter has to be motivated by hate, racism, homophobia, and whatever other cool term the prog kids throw around to identify those ungood-thinkers, it had – it just had to be – one of them behind this sad affair.

Of course, us ungood-thinkers immediately knew that odds where we were dealing with another follower of the religion of peace, guns had not been involved – Obama was not ridding this to sell his sensible gun banning policies immediately, which was a dead giveaway there obviously was no gun play – as the initial reports mentioned a car and knifes, things followers of the religion of peace have been advocating should be used by their Jihadi recruits in the not so distant past. We also suspected that interest in this story would die out as soon as the facts came out, due to lack of interest in reporting on something that contradicted the narrative the left so desperately needs (don’t worry I am sure some DNC paid paid operative will commit some crime sooner than later that they all will try to blame on others as has been going on for the past year or more).

At least justice was dealt out and the bad guys where captured or killed. But with the narrative not flowing, I suspect this story will go away. Unless the left decides to ask for sensible car and knife laws. How much do we ant to bet that when someone points out the perp was taken down by someone with a gun, their response will be we need more gun control (read disarming law abiding citizens).

Maybe, but he was shot by a cop. I don’t recall anyone arguing that cops shouldn’t have guns.

Ah, so according to you only state approved agents should have guns, right? Because cops, or for that matter most state approved agents, can’t be bad?

Besides, some of my best friends are cops and they, being decent human beings, tend to be the first to tell you you should own your own gun because when seconds count even the best intentioned policeman is minutes away. They also are the first to point out that the people usually saying you shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun, really only object to people they don’t like having guns.

BTW, I think the people of, for example, to use a country recently in the news, lets say,  Cuba, might also hold a different opinion than you do on the issue of guns….

    And then we have this dope. What is it with democrats and their penchant for 1) using any tragedy to further their political agendas, and 2) to always jump the gun before the facts come in;

President Obama said that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, “acted stupidly” in arresting a prominent black Harvard professor last week after a confrontation at the man’s home.

I see a new movement afoot ,”Terrorists Lives Matter”. That cop shot an unarmed man (machete, yes, gun,no, so “unarmed” to the intellectually challenged), so I guess we are in store for more marches and protests, hot dog.

Let’s see, a Somali refugee goes on a killing rampage, sounds exactly like what Trump was running  on.

Holy run-way inference, Batman! How the hell did you get that from what CM actually said, which was:

Superb. Logic. Fail. You went to Trump University, right?

“How the hell did you get that from what CM actually said”?

He got that from the very typical liberal argument that goes “Nobody should be allowed to have guns except law enforcement or the military”.  You seem to be a guy who follows the news pretty well, so it’s a pretty dishonest means to take a shot at Alex.

But you did get to use the Trump university line.  Good one.

I got that from what CM said as well.  He seems to be implying that because a cop shot the guy, we don’t need citizens with guns.

Of course, what is missing from CM’s shallow retort is that the university sent out messages to the students on the incident saying to “Hide, fight, flee.”

That resulted in some students reporting that they were safe in classrooms behind doors with a person and a weapon behind the door protecting them.  In case you don’t understand, there were no cops in those rooms, but an armed citizen was there, protecting the others.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I’ve never once advocated for gun control in US. But you guys go right ahead. I can see how you ended up as you are.

You mean we being free and standing against the forces who want to strip people of their rights?  You’re right.  We got here because there are some who defend the rights of people against those on the left like yourself who made a truly ridiculous comment and now are taking offense because people have called you out on it.

    Brilliant.  Just brilliant.

I think you need to calm down and re-consider the simple logic-fail that I was referring to.

No offense taken here because the responses to what I wrote literally make no sense. Hard to take offense to something so stupid. I’m sorry that you guys are so on-edge about gun control that you respond like this.

The logic fail was on your part, CM.  You tried to slice apart one of the points of the original post and made a comment that made no sense and failed to take into account other facts.

No offense taken here because the responses to what I wrote literally make no sense.

You are certainly entitled to believe that the responses made no sense.  Given the scope of the issue and the specific incident, one can make a better argument that your initial response made no sense either.

Hard to take offense to something so stupid.

Trust me, I wasn’t offended by your original comments or the ridiculous comments you have made in trying to defend them.

When you are digging a hole, most people stop while they can get out.  You need to take that advice here.

Like the fact that the perp being shot by a cop has nothing whatsoever to do with disarming law abiding citizens, or rogue cops, and therefore Alex’s claim is a non sequitur? Oh I see, we need to take factors irrelevant to this situation in order to make it work. And now you’re defending a guy who says that according to me, only state approved agents should have guns when I very clearly didn’t say that (and never had).

Shit if you’re picking a ridiculous fight like this with someone who doesn’t advocate for gun control I can only imagine how bat-shit it gets with someone who does.

You started this with your inane comment that tried to go against one point that was being made and also failed to take into account other facts.

You are either naive or being disingenuous at this point, neither which reflects well on you.

Ah, no, Alex started this with his inane comment that people would argue for gun control because the perp was shot, even though it was by a cop. As if gun-control advocates want cops to be disarmed. If anything don’t they want ONLY cops to be armed? He then went on to claim that I think only state approved agents should have guns. Then you went on to infer that because a cop shot the guy, I think the US doesn’t need citizens with guns.

failed to take into account other facts

I responded to something very specific that Alex wrote, which isn’t changed by anything else. Oh, hang on, you mean the fact that you and Alex appear to have factored in some idea that I’m a gun control advocate without any further thought?

Keep going though, please. Especially with the whole ‘reflecting’ part. Don’t take a look at how you both went wildly down the wrong path and refuse to admit it.
