Trump’s Ace In The Hole

While watching Megyn last night I saw a truly fascinating interview, take a look;

I had never hear of this guy, that will soon change.

The prevailing view is that the dems are the tech party, tech savvy computer users that grabbed the millennials and boosted Obama into the WH. I have written a few posts condemning the GOP and their antiquated devices in politicking. How great it is to see that they have entered the 21st century.

MARK ZUCKERBERG IS trying hard to convince voters that Facebook had no nefarious role in this election. But according to President-elect Donald Trump’s digital director Brad Parscale, the social media giant was massively influential—not because it was tipping the scales with fake news, but because it helped generate the bulk of the campaign’s $250 million in online fundraising.

“Our biggest incubator that allowed us to generate that money was Facebook,” says Parscale, who has been working for the campaign since before Trump officially announced his candidacy a year and a half ago. Over the course of the election cycle, Trump’s campaign funneled $90 million to Parscale’s San Antonio-based firm, most of which went toward digital advertising. And Parscale says more of that ad money went to Facebook than to any other platform.

“Facebook and Twitter were the reason we won this thing,” he says. “Twitter for Mr. Trump. And Facebook for fundraising.”

And we learn a little bit about Jared’s bona fides. I’m going to find out more about this guy, especially if he is part of the new WH.

Oh, and all that whining from Hillary that Comey torpedoed her chances (everyone’s fault but her own, so predictable), turn out to be just more Clinton hyperventilating.

Battlespace prep for the fact she now likely is going to be investigated, and if there is any justice in this universe, end up in jail along with the others that where put there for security violations that can’t even compare to the travisty she is involved in.

Fake news certainly seems to be a growth industry.

Maybe, but the article says fake news was NOT a factor in Trump’s victory, in spite of the fact that left-wing commentators “reported” that it was.

I have no doubt that it played a part. I see it everywhere and I see people believing it and spreading it. It’s also consistent with the fact that people did not obviously care that virtually every time Trump opened his mouth he told a bald-faced and obvious lie. People just don’t care. They only want to read and hear stuff that fits their existing ideas.

See, the problem is you’re saying those things without acknowledging the flagrant lies coming from Obama and Hillary. And the lies that Obama told (“You can keep your plan/doctor. PERIOD!”) had real impact on people’s lives.  Same for Hillary (Benghazi was caused by a YouTube video).  Again, you are correct in that fake news is a growth industry, but do realize that the mainstream media (MSM) is the biggest source of such.

You can’t have it both ways.

I have no doubt that it played a part.

They only want to read and hear stuff that fits their existing ideas.

If someone only wants to read things that entrenches their ideas, then certainly it doesn’t affect how they vote.  It only confirms their selection.  If you believe that latter, then you would agree it didn’t affect the election.

Same for Hillary (Benghazi was caused by a YouTube video).

Exactly! This is a lie that was put out by the Libyan PM and was widely reported as a motivation for the Benghazi attack in Libyan and US media at the time too. This is clearly a wider conspiracy amongst Libyans to mislead the American public into believing that Hillary and other State Department officials lied… er… were telling the truth.

Er… anyway, clearly a conspiracy. Someone lied… somewhere! They should pay!

Yeah that’s true. I guess I was confusing those who are entrenched and propagate fake news, and those who aren’t entrenched and might fall victim to it and it may may sway them.

If it’s true that a politician told a lie, then reporting it isn’t ‘fake news’.

Obama’s lie was widely reported by the MSM and was made ‘lie of the year’ by fact-checking websites. What lies did the MSM report on Benghazi?

Whether you like it or not the MSM still have basic standards to adhere to, even though sometimes they fall short (as happens in all professions). But there’s at a least a system of journalistic ethics and reputation in play. On the other hand there are plenty of people and websites online that pretend to engage in journalism but don’t have to adhere to any standards (and their fans don’t expect or want them too – they don’t want fairness, balance and accuracy, they want a regular supply of red-meat to chew on). We should all apply weighting accordingly.

Oh, please — the only “standard” they adhere to is “Get Hillary Elected”.  They’re so in-the-tank for liberal narratives that they doctor audio files and create new races out of whole cloth to advance that narrative.

    “Standards” my ass.

Non sequitur — I was responding to your accusations that “virtually every time Trump opened his mouth he told a bald-faced and obvious lie”.

How convenient, yet it doesn’t explain how Hillary sent an email to her daughter saying Benghazi was a terrorist attack, so obviously, Hillary knew the truth and told it to her daughter, but told the American People a lie.  The fact that others also foisted the lie upon us doesn’t make it true, and it doesn’t mitigate the fact that Hillary knowingly lied.

Actually, it’s quite simple. It was both a planned terrorist attack and it was fanned by outrage over the video. There were plenty of people interviewed right after the incident – including many that participated – that said they were outraged over the video.

    Actually, it’s quite simple.

But again, it still doesn’t explain the objective fact that Hillary hid the truth from America.  We call that lying.  Hillary told the American People that it was a “protest”, not a “terrorist attack”.

    Again, we call that lying.
