Kicking Michael Moore

There are days when I miss the old Moorewatch site. Thankfully, Moore has receded from public consciousness (although he’s out with another dopey documentary this month that, ironically, would be against the law to show if the Citizens United decision has gone the other way).

But yesterday, he showed that he’s just as much of an idiot as always with a series of hilarious tweets:

Clinton is not suffering from the abuse of men. She’s suffering from problems created all by herself. It was not Anthony Weiner who created a private e-mail server. It was not Bill who lied about it to the American public. It was not Newt who blazed a 25-year path of corruption and deception so deep that she can’t even win a Presidential race against an authoritarian hamster. Hillary’s problems of her own making.

As opposed to being decided by campaign donations, cattle futures and travel office firings. And I’m not sure if Moore is up to date on things, but tens of millions of women vote GOP and the GOP has a number of great women in their tent, such as Nikki Haley or Susana Martinez.

Now we get stupid. There were a number of women involved with the Manhattan Project. The work that led directly to the atomic bomb was produced by Lise Meitner. Indira Gandhi was heavily involved in India’s nuclear program.

There were many women involved with the Nazis, notably Leni Riefenstahl (to whom Moore was compared by some Moorewatchers). There are many many women who work in the fossil fuel industry or part of corporate boards of fossil fuel companies. One of the most famous “climate deniers” is Judith Curry (who does not, in fact, deny global warming, but argues for the lukewarm case). And the first famous school shootings in America was carried out by Brenda Spencer.

Moreover, Moore is tweeting this out in support of Hillary God-damned Clinton, who has vocally supported every war for the last 25 years, unleashed our Libyan intervention, played a key role in creating the mess in Syria and wants to risk a war with Russia by establishing a no-fly-zone in Syria. Clinton is a war-monger of the first order. Does anyone doubt she would unleash nuclear weapons if she felt it was necessary?

I could go on but I couldn’t reply better than Ken at Popehat:

The Left has spent the last 35 years condemning everything the Iron Lady every did (while quietly taking her policies). But now that’s time to elect the Iron Dingbat, we’re back to the “women will be so much better!” line of BS.

Power corrupts. And power knows no gender. Clinton, if she’s elected, may be a great President or an awful one. My bet is on the former latter. But either way, it will be because of who she is, not what she is.

Seriously?  You think Clinton’s going to be a great President?  You do realize that “former” refers to the first option, yes?

I think the word you’re seeking is “latter”, not “former”.

This from the same guy who admits why people are voting for Trump, while begging them to vote for the woman who doesn’t give a damn about those same “forgotten Americans” that Mikey claims to be fighting for.

I don’t encourage people to vote for Clinton. I encourage them not to vote for Trump because he’s mentally unstable and is elevating horrific elements to the national stage. Ken at Popehat said it best:

I think that Donald Trump is the most terrible and dangerous candidate for President of my lifetime, and perhaps much longer than that. I think he and his movement pose a structural risk to the survival of America in several ways. I think that Hillary Clinton is a terrible candidate and would be a terrible leader, but would prefer she wins because I think her awfulness is not an existential threat, but more of the same.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say I prefer Clinton wins, but the more I see of Trump, the more I’m convinced that he’s dangerous.

This is an attempt at a joke right? Maybe you just are uninformed, but nobody is as dangerous and deranged as Hillary. Not my words. I am willing to bet that Hillary is far more likely, by orders of magnitude, to start WW3 than Trump is, because she is a megalomanical bitch that has never been told no, and if she becomes president, she is going to get a ton of kicks in the teeth.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say I prefer Clinton wins, but the more I see of Trump, the more I’m convinced that he’s dangerous.

Maybe you should stop looking so much at Trump, and take an actual close look at Clinton. Or maybe you have, and know she is far worse, but you just like what she stands for…..

Seriously, Hal. For the life of me, I can’t see why you bother here, with all the crap you take.

Yeah, because it is only me that has access to the facts, right repmom? I mean, it isn’t as if it would be possible to research Hillary on your own, and discover she makes Trump look sane and nice? Call me whatever you want, but I have a far bigger problem with someone that lacks any morals or scruples and is only where they are today because of cultish followers that worship at the altar of the religion that has killed most humans in our recorded history, and did it in under a century.

Seriously, Hal. For the life of me, I can’t see why you bother here, with all the crap you take.

Must be because everyone but the resident libs take their marching orders from me then repmom. Me, if I saw a bunch of people making the same point, I might explore it. But then again, that would require some conviction and to hold principles over principals…

    “…she makes Trump look sane…”

    Your opinion.

Spend time on Twitter, or listening to Trump at his rallies, or even watch the debates against Hillary. Insane. Hot headed. Knows nothing of issues. Promotes hatred.

Of course that last one is right in line with you, isn’t it Alex. You are filled with it.

. That you would trust even a single word out of her mouth discredits your judgment given her long and sordid track record.

Who said anything about trusting Hillary?  Thinking Trump is shit does not make Hillary not-shit.

Please provide specifics as to how Trump “promotes hatred”

Here. Here. HereHere. I’ve been blogging politics a long time. I have NEVER seen the kind of abuse that follow Trump around. Open racist bigotry. Anti-semitism. Violent threats. Spend a few days dipping into the so-called alt-right and you’ll the sewer of vileness he has stirred up.

Seriously, Hal. For the life of me, I can’t see why you bother here, with all the crap you take.

We have a lot of lurkers and people who don’t comment much.  But I don’t know that it will go on for much longer.  Jim can’t support RTFLC financially and I’m running out of the ability to support it emotionally.  Not because of the comments, but because of what the GOP has become and what American politics has descended to.  Hard to maintain hope when our Presidential race is between an authoritarian yam and a woman makes me want to apologize to the ghost of Nixon for ever comparing her to him. What I wouldn’t give to have a Republican or a Democrat who was boring.

Hal, I just checked your first link and it was alleged and unsubsutantiated attacks by Trump supporters, not Trump himself, so you have discredited  yourself from the get-go. But thanks for your nonsensensical defense for repmon who was, and is, too dishonest to defend her own smears

You haven’t addressed it repmom, neither has Hal. No matter how much both of you pretend otherwise. And don’t you love Hal’s “heartfelt” whining about not being able to support this site “emotionally”?? His words. Look I am not a regular, but comments like his seem out of line to me. He doesn’t want vigorous debate like Lee would have wanted, he wants his views validated when they are in fact found invalid under scrutiny

Saw no whining on Hal’s part. He clearly expressed his feelings, and stated they had nothing to do with the comments he receives here. But keep twisting his words and mine, Mook.

And I love, Mook, that while you admit you are not a regular here, you know all about what I have said, or not said, in the past.

Question – do you follow Trump on Twitter? Just curious.

If Trump doesn’t promote hatred, why doesn’t he speak against it, and his followers who do promote it?

My God, Mook! Who the hell here has said they trust anything Hillary says?

You certainly have been pushing the lib talking points for a while, dude. I recommend you watch that Milo video Rich linked at before you make the accusations that parrot the LSM Clinton line that Trump is a hater and his followers are deplorables. Nobody does hatred and corruption, to a criminal level, like the Clintons, the democratic party, and the left in general.

In fact, the left’s entire platform revolves around the strategy of dividing people into subgroups, sicking them at each other, and then controlling them to the political left’s gain. I can’t think of anything more hateful than that MO, especially when anyone that complains immediately gets labeled as being a hater to shut them up.

Hal, I just checked your first link and it was alleged and unsubsutantiated attacks by Trump supporters, not Trump himself

Substantiated by the links and comments posted on his blog, the tweets sent to him, the comments that show up on board.  And “Trump supporters” was precisely my point.  I’ve never seen a politician who has such open and enthusiastic racist support and doesn’t seem to mind it at all.  As I’ve said many times, I don’t think Trump himself is a bigot. But he had no problem stirring up bigots, being followed by bigots, retweeting bigots, drawing support from bigots. The key her is that Trump is not a conservative. He’s a liberal doing a parody of what he thinks conservatism is. So he’s not a bigot; but the thinks you area. And he’s so unprincipled, he doesn’t care as long as it gets him power.

Exactly what I have been telling you for the past few months, glad to see it is finally resonating.

I have NEVER seen the kind of abuse that follow Trump around.

I guess you forgot all those pictures of Bush being a chimp, or the calls for Palin to be gang raped, and this from prominent Hollywood types. Hitler would probably have been relegated to the back burner of history if not for the couple thousand times the left has tagged GOP candidates, going back 30 years, as Hitler incarnate.

    In looking at some of your “hate” links, one commented that the crowd at one rally was chanting “Hang the bitch”. Pretty provocative, so I looked into that further and I found this;

Supporters at Donald Trump’s rally in Raleigh, NC could be heard by journalists calling Hillary Clinton a b**ch and demanding that she be hanged.

But if you keep reading you find out that there was only one supporter saying that. Funny how agenda driven reporters can hear one voice that suddenly translates to ,”The whole crowd was chanting yadda yadda yadda”. How about we agree that there are crack pots on both sides, always has been, although with the advent of the internet, twitter, and such, devices designed to protect anonymity, it seems these derelicts are even more emboldened.

There are ways to run this site on a shoe string budget and many regulars have already offered to help out, both with the site maintenance and it’s financial support.

You have been around long enough to know that these things run in cycles. Rush became an icon because he was a voice in the wilderness, his party (and ideas) out of favor at the time. Yes, this election is crap, but there will be others.

As for the GOP, parties are not too big to fail. If it can’t compete, becomes dysfunctional, or does not meet the needs of it’s adherents, it should die an ignoble death. Funny that I should be telling you this. Maybe this will be your chance to get some traction in forming a third party, maybe someone that can put down the Oreo’s, break out a map and find out where Oleppo is.
