“Liking” The IDF

Reminding the foot soldier what he is fighting for, genius;

The IDF got a surprising new kind of moral support this week. Hundreds of pretty girls posting their appreciation to the soldiers on a new Facebook page called “Girls love IDF”. Since it was created three days ago, the page already has thousands of likes.

The creators of the page are two young women, Lital Shemesh and Olga Lavie who wanted to show their support in an original way that will really get to soldiers in the battle field. “I’ve been volunteering in the last three weeks in anyway I can to help our guys,” Lavie told JPost.com. “I talked to the soldiers, hugged them and understood that they need more than just food and clothes. They need our love and support.”

“We are getting pictures from all over the world,” said Lavie. “Some soldiers even send us messages telling us they love us back.”

Their Facebook page, along with other racier iterations, should make for some happy soldiers.

But don’t miss the irony (no doubt planned) of this movement. Not only is it boosting the moral for the good guys (I couldn’t help myself) but it is reminding Hamas and all their pig cousins that they are still 8 centuries behind the civilized world. Those Muslims that happen to stumble on to one of these sites will be forced to stab out their eyeballs with forks, punishment for gazing at an uncovered woman.

Of course they could follow suit;

“We Love Suicide Bombers”
ISLAM_-_Islam-women

Bring on the “likes”.

    Say, when is the United States going to join Israel, Iran, and the rest of the civilized world in legalization prostitution?

    Buck up there Sparky, start hitting the gym, maybe a wardrobe change, a definite about face with your political views and just maybe you can turn into the guy that does not have to pay for sex, problem solved.

    You mean to get laid I have to be a liberal? There are some prices too high to pay.

    And a big part of such problem as I have is that I’m in a small town with very few eligible females around.

    I have always believed that it was not paying for the sex, but to get rid of the woman after you were done, which is why so many don’t like the idea.

    Besides we all pay for sex. What do you think dating is all about? And marriage? That’s so sex becomes even more expensive and rare.

    Ah…………..no :(

    There is more than one way to skin a cat. Online dating sites have come along way over the years, I know a few couples, very happy, that have met that way. As an example, look at all the sites just targeting farmers;

    Alex, you are doing it wrong, you date (and marry) the ones that make more money and want sex more than you, there ya go.

    More bad news for mrblume;

    Less fighting = less justification for IDF to kill carelessly = fewer dead Palestinians. Sounds like bad news for y’all.

    Hamas throwing down their weapons and running away like scared little girls, yes, less killing all around, that is a good thing. Of course “your side” is still not out of the woods;

    Been there, done that, Rich. Well kind of. My ex made more money than I did for about 2 years after we got married. And the axiom that women marry men thinking they will change them, blew up in my ex’s face. She wanted what her parents had – her dad was neutered by her mom – and I simply was never going to be that guy. Never understood how she couldn’t figure that out after 25 years of trying and not getting anywhere. If she wanted a beta male she should have married one of those. So now she lives somewhere else and dates the loser she though would make me break and give her what she wanted. Me, I am now living again, after constantly giving and not getting much back for so long. And I have a hard time finding a woman that makes as much money as I do, let alone more. Not bragging just is that way. And they all want sex but then only until they marry you. And they all want to marry you in a matter of weeks. Then sex becomes a way to make you get them what they want. I have been lucky enough that I have not have had to paid for it, but I understand the people that do. Getting rid of the annoyance is worth it. Yeah, I may be jaded on the whole thing, I guess.

    In a non-political comment, I met my wife of seven years online (lavalife if you are curious). Now very happy with two beautiful children.

    If you (1) think sex is the most important thing and (2) think you’ll get less sex after marriage then (3) don’t get married.

    My own take is: “If I wanted to have someone in my life constantly crabbing at me, finding fault with everything I did, never content, and making my life a misery, I’d have joined the armed forces. At least they get paid!”

    What are you smoking, Blume? Is it worth it to destroy any chance at rational cognition?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_Iran

    Prostitution in Iran is illegal, and incurs various punishments ranging from fines and jail terms to execution for repeat offenders.

    Never heard of the Bunny Ranch? Prostitution is legal there, and half of the counties in Nevada. It’s a State law issue, not Federal.

    First, I would suggest you read the Farsi version of that article.

    Second, if the US introduces 15-minute marriages as in Iran, which absolutely do exist under the eyes of the law, I will give them, for the purposes of this discussion, credit for legal prostitution.

    Third, I do give you credit for about three brothels in Nevada, in a midst of 4 million sq miles of, what did we call it?, medieval morality – just not a lot.

    Say, when is the United States going to join Israel, Iran, and the rest of the civilized world in legalization prostitution?

    What makes you think prostitution is “civilized”? As I’ve seen many a liberal preach, correlation is not causation.

    First, I would suggest you read the Farsi version of that article.

    Given that I don’t read Farsi, your suggestion would be an absolute waste of time. I would be “reading” utter gibberish. Not surprising that you would recommend such. Or perhaps this is just a way for you to show off how “worldly” you are, by implying that you can read Farsi.

    Second, if the US introduces 15-minute marriages as in Iran, which absolutely do exist under the eyes of the law, I will give them, for the purposes of this discussion, credit for legal prostitution.

    Your credit is neither required nor desired. For better or worse, prostitution is legal in Nevada, for the win. Not that prostitution has anything to do with being “civilized”.
