What free press?

Are you surprised that Carney, the Obama Administration WH Press Secretary screens questions from reporters before the press conferences happen as this reporter, probably by mistake, pointed out:

A CBS reporter from Arizona reveals that President Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney, receives questions from the press in advance of his daily press briefing. In fact, she says, the reporters often receive the answers in advance of the briefing, too.

….

“It was a very busy day. We started here shortly after 8 o’clock with a coffee with press secretary Jay Carney inside his office in the West Wing,” says the reporter.

“And this was the off-the-record so we were able to ask him all about some of the preparation that he does on a regular basis for talking to the press in his daily press briefings. He showed us a very long list of items that he has to be well versed on every single day.

“And then he also mentioned that a lot of times, unless it’s something breaking, the questions that the reporters actually ask — the correspondents — they are provided to him in advance. So then he knows what he’s going to be answering and sometimes those correspondents and reporters also have those answers printed in front of them, because of course it helps when they’re producing their reports for later on. So that was very interesting.”

There have been other stories about how this WH holds reporters, even the ones that are friendly to the cause and willing to lie for them, hostage by controlling access, so finding out Carney actually screens questions before the conference, at least to me, comes as confirmation of what I have long suspected: this WH meant it when they said they wanted to run things like the Chicomm government does it.

I can rehash all the bullshit about the promise of transparency and ethical behavior, point out the lies told during the Boosh Administration by these marxist scumbags, the hostility of the media towards that administration, and the fact that they willingly seem to have become propagandists for these crooks now in charge, but the people that need to hear about this travesty the most, don’t want to.

Remember that the news is probably compromised and bullshit the next time you hear these people play up this administration.

Carney has always struck me as some sort of angry buffoon that barely manages to suppress his disgust and anger when someone questions the actions and words of his personal political deity.

As a press secretary he’s a total joke/failure – his title should be changed to include the word “propaganda” in some fashion…

Oh NOES, it’s the Daily Mail too……

This retraction is the equivalent of a witness to mob murders suddenly recanting their story on the stand: it looks exactly like what it is. This turn of events is the sort of shit that would have made your run of the mill banana republic dictator proud of his state apparatus and the control it has on the media. In fact, that the reporter had to issue a retraction, leaves me assured that the initial claim Carney screened questions was true. That you actually pretend the retraction story is worth the paper it is published on, considering what we already know about this administrations dispicable ways, CM, makes you an even bigger partisan idiot than I thought you were.

This WH is not just vindictive but down right evil. Anyone that gets in the way is crushed. As Mook already mentioned, I am sure this reporter received a call or visit to make sure they knew that not recalling this revelation would result in some serious consequences. This WH keeps a short leash even on the usual sycophants that comprise the LSM. But do you think the frightened LSM would actually fight back? Not a chance. They are all going to beat each other up in order to be the first to get to suck Obama’s cock after he pulls it out of the ass of this reporter they are fucking over for showing the evil behind the curtain.

What a sad state of affairs.

“leaves me assured that the initial claim Carney screened questions was true”

Except that wasn’t even the claim.

Provided, not requested or required. Which helps the reporter. But then she held her question back so she could ask Obama directly.

As inept as Carney appears whenever an actual question gets asked (such as Benghazi), if he actually sees the questions first, he’s truly the dumbest person on the planet. I don’t think he sees the questions first, because I don’t see how someone could possibly be that bad.

He’s that bad because he’s actually working for the government, where the “best and brightest” are rarely to be found…
