I think is probably a situation like Air France 447. Some malfunction followed by pilot error. If it had been terrorism, some group of assholes would be claiming credit by now.

Of course, I mean a terrorist group that we think could actually pull this off. I’m sure there some United Front of Two Guys Fucking a Goat that’s already claimed credit for it.

The most amazing thing is that they have not found anything yet. I’m pretty amazed that something that big could disappear and nobody has any clue at all where any of it is.

Alex, it looks like you might be right about that e-bay idea.

Oh, I suspected that the plane was diverted from the start because of some of the key clues they presented in the hysterical coverage of the event. If this was an intended act of terrorism, to just bring the plane down, someone semi-credible would have claimed it too.

I am going to hazard a guess that this was not done by terrorists, unless they are state trained ones, with a shit tone of resources and several complicit agents in many countries. If the odd chance was that this was some terrorist’s doing, I suspect they might have wanted to use the thing as a missile again. But the more likely scenario now is that they wanted something from, in, or on the aircraft, which is why it got diverted to somewhere else. We better start checking whom or what might have been on board, especially since even the Chinese military claims they didn’t have their systems track the plane.

Load a nuke on one of these and fly it down the path of a real aircraft going to your target, and you can evade most security systems and protocols. Especially when this is state sponsored, say by a state that just developed a nuke and wants to use it. Be scared people, be real scared.
