Control the narrative, if you don’t like the truth..

You can’t make up this level of stupid:

The UC Berkeley student government has banned the term “illegal immigrant” from its discourse, deeming the phrase racist, offensive, unfair and derogatory.

In an unanimous vote, student senators passed a resolution that stated the word “illegal” is “racially charged,” “dehumanizes” people, and contributes to “punitive and discriminatory actions aimed primarily at immigrants and communities of color.”

The “resolution in support of drop the I-word campaign” was approved 18 to 0 with one abstention on Oct. 30, according to a copy of the meeting’s minutes obtained by The College Fix.

Its approval marks at least the second time this semester that a public university’s student government has voted to eradicate the phrase. UCLA passed a nearly identical measure in late August.

This is the shit liberal indoctrination comes down to. You can’t even communicate to these people how fascistic this shit is. It’s not just speech control: it is an attempt to limit the opponent’s vocabulary so you can avoid the fact you are dealing with someone that broke the law in the first place. This is simply some douchebags pissing on the constitution and basically telling those they object to that freedom of speech only applies to the speech they approve of. And yet, I guarantee you these idiots feel very proud of what they have done.

I vote we go back to using such terms as “wetback” & “fence jumper”, unless you just want to refer to theme all as “criminals”.

The attempt to change the language is based in the ideas that 1) all borders should be wide open to any movement, and 2) changing the language actually changes the debate, or eliminates it. Since neither one is actually true to the extent they think it is, their efforts mainly just paint themselves as another group of idiots.

You know, the Democrats always yammering on about the Republican War on Science. But they have been engaged in a War on the English Language for decades. They are constantly trying to redefine terms so that they mean something else and get rid of words that speak realities they don’t like. So spending increases become “spending cuts”. Small spending cuts become “draconian spending cuts”. Immigrants who are here illegally can not be called “illegal immigrants” but must be called “undocumented workers” even though not all of them are undocumented and/or working. Terrorist attacks become workplace violence. Defeat becomes victory. War is Peace. Slavery is Freedom. Ignorance is Strength.

Frankly Hal, I my hackles go up immediately if someone mentions war on anything or that it needs to be done for the children. Be they from either party. Democrats do a lot more of it, by orders of magnitude as this example, which is prevalent, proofs, but the republicans can be just as bad. Especially about social issues. This shit has to stop.

And CM is right because accusations of rape is another one of those things that always puts me on the defensive. I have seen too many people claim rape to hide the fact they made a mistake and needed cover to avoid the problems. Our system needs to punish these people just as harshly as it does those that rape. In either case we are talking about a life being ruined, and someone has to pay for doing that.
