60 Minutes Discovers Benghazi

Sixty minutes is about a year late and a billion dollars short on this, but you should watch this video that basically destroys the White House’s long-debunked contention that the Benghazi attack could not have been foreseen. Several witnesses have now gone public with what they saw in the months and weeks leading up to the attack that night. Al-Qaeda has stated their intention to launch three attacks and carried out two of them. Al-Qaeda had been openly flying black flags in Benghazi for months. And yet the security in Benghazi remained heavily dependent on local militia who basically fled when the attack occurred.

What happened that night almost becomes secondary. By the time the attack had started, the die was cast. It was only because of the courage of the scant military forces there that it wasn’t even worse.

We recently had the thirtieth anniversary of the Beirut barracks bombing, an incident that bears more than a passing resemblance to this one. Warnings were ignored, the approach was not barricaded and the guards were under restrictive ROE. The details that have emerged from Benghazi show that we learned nothing from that. Our State Department and our befuddled President still fail to realize that, in regions of the world where terrorists walk free, any American installation is seen as a big fat target.

Every day in this country, our phone calls are tracked and some are listened to. Every day, people are groped and harassed in airports despite classified admissions that airplanes are not a particularly high-priority target right now. And yet, when the State Department was warned that Al-Qaeda operatives were openly licking their chops in Benghazi, when they asked twice for more security, the State Department decided that a few locals were security enough.

The political aspects of this will be hashed out in the years ahead. This should permanently end Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions, but that was also true six months ago. What I’m more interested in is whether anyone at State is going to learn the damned lesson and protect the assets that we necessarily place on the frontier between civilization and barbarism.

This should permanently end Hillary’s presidential ambitions. Should … but won’t. There’s a rather sizable contingent that will vote for ANYTHING with a “D” next to its name, and Hillary is still a powerful player among the Democrats.

My thought was that “when 60 Minutes decides to out Obama as an incompetent bungling liar” then you can start the countdown to when the rest of the press decides to spit the cock out.

Here is a transcript of that interview.

There are some major problems with how this all played out. The people on the ground knew this was coming, and they repeatedly informed their superiors through the chain of command. There is no way that the State Department was not in the loop for this revelation. Hillary had to know – and if she was not informed it is a major case for an argument she was incompetent and negligent running State – this was coming. That the media is now talking about this tells me they have either decided to throw Hillary under the bus, or that they believe the powers that be have had enough time to destroy any real evidence that links her to these decisions, so she is going to get to skate.

And with an ambassador’s life at risk, I can’t see how this information would not have been given to the WH in their briefings (again, if Obama was even bothering to hear these things). Yet nothing happened. The fact that our president and his party had just spent the week before dancing on bin Laden and al Qaeda’s grave at their convention, for craven political gain, cannot be dismissed as the reason that the people in Benghazi were left out in the cold. I know Obama believes he can walk on water, or at least part it, but even these deluded fucks should have known how bad any attack, even a failed one, would look for them.

BTW, the most important lesson from this interview, the one nobody discusses, is that after we spent all that money securing oil for the Europeans, we now have another muslim country operationally compromised by a large al Qaeda presence. It’s almost like we are on purpose destabilizing Middle Eastern countries so al Qaeda can take over. The case could almost be made that’s why Obama was so gung-ho about going after Syria. Then again, I still think the main reason for the WH’s boner about Syria was they wanted to kill people in Libya with information about Benghazi and they wanted to destroy the bio & chemical agents the Syrian government had. WMDs I would not be surprised to find out were of Russian and French manufacturing, and sporting Iraqi military markings. Know what I am saying?

It sounds to me like they are just mumbling around it SO….

Someone should remind them not to talk with their mouths full.

The whole purpose of airing this NOW is to let it slip from the “low information voters” radar. In two years from now, when the campaigning begins in earnest, this will all be referred to as “old news”, thus irrelevant.

Everything that was ‘revealed’ by 60 Minutes was already know last year. It was purposely omitted from the general population simply because the 2012 election was to become settled. Election integrity be damned.

It is nice to see some of the scales have fallen from Hal’s eyes concerning Benghazi and his much less than factual views he held a year ago.

In the end, Benghazi could have and should have derailed Obama’s re-election. By 2016 it won’t even be a non-issue as Her Filthiness assumes the throne. And there is no one left in America that will try to stop it.

1.) Why would Obama want to do that?
2.) What would you like the WH to do? If they do nothing they are evil stupid geniuses. If they intervene they are evil stupid geniuses.
3.) The 2016 election will be quite important, right?

1.) Why would Obama want to do that?

Why would he tack on another $6 trillion in just 5 years to our debt? Whey did he allow the Senate to go over 4 years without passing a budget? Why is he pretendign that the government healthcare takeover bill with his name isn’t going to destroy healthcare and the economy in this country? Why does he know only how to campaign and not lead?

There are a lot of “whys” when it comes to this empty suit.

2.) What would you like the WH to do? If they do nothing they are evil stupid geniuses. If they intervene they are evil stupid geniuses.

After Afghanistan and Iraq were abandoned I would say I would like the WH to leave these people to their own devices. If we must interfere, arm both sides and let them wipe each other out. That’s the only scenario that IMO doesn’t come back to bite us in the ass.

The 2016 election will be quite important, right?

Yes, on the state level, and on the Governor’s level. Most definitely on the US Senate and House levels too.

But as a presidential election it’s importance is less than zero. Barring the Big “C” or a fatal plane crash Her Filthiness, the Bitch of Benghazi WILL be coronated after 2016. She paid her admission fee by letting the protards do their social experiment with a totally inept black man.

Now social justice will DEMAND a woman MUST be given the reigns of power. Sadly I believe this whole scenario was already ‘locked-n-loaded’ back in the Spring of 2008. In fact it should have been quite apparent to anyone who watched the Dem Primary/Caucus that year.

I nominate “The Battle Hymn of the Banana Republic” as our new National Anthem.
