Closed for Business

As of midnight tonight, we will very likely have a partial government shutdown due to the lack of a continuing resolution. The Republicans passed one that stripped funding from Obamacare (although it’s not that simple; stopping Obamacare requires statutory changes). The Senate bounced it. Now the Republicans have passed a CR that delays Obamacare a year and voids the medical device tax. This has also been rejected by the Senate for fairly obvious reasons. Among other things, most of Obamacare will start to be implemented tomorrow, regardless of what Congress does. And the Democrats will never accept delaying Obamacare a year. Their only hope is that the inevitable Obamacare clusterfuck becomes less of one by election time. They’re not going to accept a deal that puts maximum clusterfuckery right on top of the election.

So here we are.

Ted Cruz says this is the Republicans “listening to the people” but it really isn’t. The public is opposed to a shutdown. This is Cruz listening to the sliver of his supporters that do. Just to be clear: whether or not the government should be shut down to stop Obamacare shouldn’t be dependent on polls. But the idea that public is demanding a shutdown is simply wrong.

While a shutdown is not as bad as hitting the debt ceiling, I still think it’s a bad idea. The perpetual budget crisis is creating massive uncertainty for businesses — remember when uncertainty was a bad thing? — and hurting our economy. Maybe you could justify that if there were a hope of tossing Obamacare, but there isn’t: not with the Democrats in control of the Senate and the White House. And as the shutdown goes on, it is only going to strengthen the Democrats’ hand. Any problems with Obamacare will be ignored in the wake of the larger crisis or blamed on the shutdown. And the shutdown is very likely to blow up in the GOP’s face, politically. It’s very hard to turn this around to blame Obama when a) you’re the one who wants changes to existing law; b) your party is opposed to government anyway (or claims to be); and c) parts of your party are running around saying a government shutdown isn’t a bad thing.

(The shutdown is also a great unknown and is likely to have some very bad effects. I work with some active duty military and they’re staring down having to work without pay while the shutdown lasts. There’s some word about passing a bill to pay the soldiers, but no word yet on where it’s going.)

So ultimately, while this might make for good sound bites, I believe it is making for bad politics and making the permanent installation of Obamacare more, not less, likely.

The situation with the debt ceiling has, however, gotten even worse. The Republicans have issued a list of demands for suspending the debt ceiling for three months. There’s no word on if it was written with letters cut out of magazines:

Tax Reform Instructions

  • Similar to a bill we passed last fall, laying out broad from Ryan Budget principles for what tax reform should look like.
  • Gives fast track authority for tax reform legislation
  • Energy and regulatory reforms to promote economic growth

  • Includes pretty much every jobs bill we have passed this year and last Congress
  • All of these policies have important positive economic effects.
  • Keystone Pipeline
  • Coal Ash regulations
  • Offshore drilling
  • Energy production on federal lands
  • EPA Carbon regulations
  • REINS Act
  • Regulatory process reform
  • Consent decree reform
  • Blocking Net Neutrality
  • Mandatory Spending Reforms

  • Mostly from the sequester replacement bills we passed last year
  • Federal Employee retirement reform
  • Ending the Dodd Frank bailout fund
  • Transitioning CFPB funding to Appropriations
  • Child Tax Credit Reform to prevent fraud
  • Repealing the Social Services Block grant
  • Health Spending Reforms

  • Means testing Medicare
  • Repealing a Medicaid Provider tax gimmick
  • Tort reform
  • Altering Disproportion Share Hospitals
  • Repealing the Public Health trust Fund
  • They also, at a late stage, added a provision to remove the birth control mandate.

Look, most of those are good ideas. The problem is that the Republicans ran on those ideas in 2012 and lost the election. Romney lost by four points and 126 electoral votes. And before you say, “he wasn’t conservative enough”, remember that he polled better nationally than the rest of the party did. The GOP lost eight seats in the House and two seats in the Senate, at least partially because of the primarying of moderates. To threaten the credit of the United States in an attempt to enact a rejected agenda would be absurd if it weren’t so repulsive. Again, the question I asked last week: do you want the Democrats doing this to President Rubio?

It’s also, to me, fundamentally unserious. Even if Obama were amenable to the GOP’s wish list of issues, no agenda like that could be passed in three months, let alone a few days. It makes me more and more suspicious that the GOP’s actions are more about talking a big talk and raking in donations from the Tea Party than about seriously changing the course of our country. A serious group of conservatives would be trying to actually, you know, accomplish something, not breaching the debt ceiling so that they can prove how “tough” they are while accomplishing fuck all.

I would be remiss if I didn’t note that this sort of thing has happened before. Congress has previously attached debt ceiling hikes to legislation. Most of it was fiscally related; but several hikes were linked to other issues, such as in 1973, when Ted Kennedy and Walter Mondale tried to attach campaign finance reform to a debt ceiling hike.

But I would submit that when you’re following in the footsteps of Ted Kennedy and Walter Mondale … maybe you need to rethink your strategy.

Swiss war game invasion by bankrupt frogs

And I have to say that as far as insane scenarios go, to me, this one would rank second, right after the one where France votes itself into an Islamic Republic, and then decides it needs to conquer the rest of Europe. I do have to say that a horde of angry & starving marxist-wannabe frogs charging you to steal your shit is a funny thing to war game against, but the Swiss might be on to something when you hear stories like this in a country that has one of Europe’s highest unemployment numbers and one of of the shitties economies to boot. Even the French unions are pissed that their government won’t let people work from what I have read, and that one is just an eye opener.

    September NSA Update

Even as the boot-lickers continue to assure us that there is nothing to fear from NSA, that they are our friends, that there’s no indication of systematic abuse, we keep finding out more and more. To summarize events from the last few weeks.

Information has emerged about NSA employees using their access to stalk girlfriends, boyfriends and random people. That’s just a dozen that we know about; there is obviously no read on how often this happened when people were better at covering their tracks.

In addition, the sheer scale of NSA’s abilities is becoming clearer. Diane Feinstein inadvertently admitted that the NSA is tapping the internet backbone. This sounds trivial, but it is really important. You remember PRISM, the program where the NSA were working with tech companies to get data? This tap allows them to bypass even PRISM and collect data directly from the internet. They have also created programs that analyze social network data to get more information about the targets of their surveillance. Better hope your social circle doesn’t include too many “anti-Obama” radicals or maybe the IRS will pay you a visit.

Finally, information about the NSA’s past surveillance has emerged:

The National Security Agency eavesdropped on civil rights icon Martin Luther King and heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali as well as other leading critics of the Vietnam War in a secret program later deemed “disreputable,” declassified documents revealed.

The six-year spying program, dubbed “Minaret,” had been exposed in the 1970s but the targets of the surveillance had been kept secret until now.

The documents released Wednesday showed the NSA tracked King and his colleague Whitney Young, boxing star Ali, journalists from the New York Times and the Washington Post, and two members of Congress, Senator Frank Church of Idaho and Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee.

The declassified NSA historical account of the episode called the spying “disreputable if not outright illegal.”

The justification for this was that these people opposed Vietnam and therefore might be communist agents. Considering that our leaders have an attitude that any opposition to their policies is de facto siding with the terrorists, how long will it take them to use the same logic to spy on their political opponents? Ten seconds? What will we find out forty years from now, when the NSA has to reveal their secrets?

So … to round up. We’ve found out more about bona fide NSA abuses, we’ve found out more about just how extensive their programs are and we’ve found out that they’ve abused their authority in the past.

Reassured yet? Don’t worry. If you’re nervous, it’s just because of the evil influence of someone like Rand Paul. Ignore them. Trust government.

Have you heard this scary news from the LSM?

It’s now no longer open for discussion: IRS documents reveal agency flagged groups for ‘anti-Obama rhetoric’, which for those of you that are too slow to grasp the concept or progressives means, they abused the power of government to favor one political entity over another. That’s criminal. From the WSJ article:

ABC, CBS and NBC have so far refused to report the latest bombshell in the IRS scandal – a newly released list from the agency that showed it flagged political groups for “anti-Obama rhetoric.” On September 18 USA Today, in a front page story, reported the following: “Newly uncovered IRS documents show the agency flagged political groups based on the content of their literature, raising concerns specifically about ‘anti-Obama rhetoric,’ inflammatory language and ‘emotional’ statements made by non-profits seeking tax-exempt status.”

Not only have ABC, CBS and NBC not reported this story they’ve flat out stopped covering the IRS scandal on their evening and morning shows. It’s been 85 days since ABC last touched the story on June 26. NBC hasn’t done a report for 84 days and CBS last mentioned the IRS scandal 56 days ago on July 24.

The article by Gregory Korte went on to report: “The internal 2011 documents, obtained by USA TODAY, list 162 groups by name, with comments by Internal Revenue Service lawyers in Washington raising issues about their political, lobbying and advocacy activities. In 21 cases, those activities were characterized as ‘propaganda.’ The list provides the most specific public accounting to date of which groups were targeted for extra scrutiny and why. The IRS has not publicly identified the groups, repeatedly citing a provision of the tax code prohibiting it from releasing tax return information.”

The American Center for Law and Justice, a nonprofit legal institute that represents 33 of the groups appearing on the IRS list, said it appears to be ‘the most powerful evidence yet of a coordinated effort’ by the IRS to target Tea Party groups. ‘The political motivations of this are so patently obvious, but then to have a document that spells it out like this is very damaging to the IRS,’ said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the ACLJ. ‘I hope the FBI has seen these documents.'”

Heh, why would anyone think that the fucking fifth column would want to report that a government organization – if we know about the few cases involving IRS, I guarantee you there are far more cases within the IRS, and also in other government agencies with power, of this sort of abuse – helped one party win an election, through clearly criminal activity? Harm their golden boy? No way in hell. Americans need to be kept in the dark about this as well as any of the plethora of other “non-scandal scandals”.

All you have to do is ask how the media would be reacting if these revelations were happening when the guy in the WH had an (R) next to his name to know they are doing us a disservice. No wonder that the democrats think they can resort to destructive and tyrannical behavior without end, and get away with it. Nixon wants his presidency back….

    Slip Sliding Away

    It is officially time to put a fork in the concept of American Exceptionalism. Whatever bragging rights Americans had in influencing and shaping the world, in crushing the totalitarians and spreading democracy and freedom, sometimes at a terrible cost to ourselves, well, the glory days are long gone. What’s left is a dying nation (not yet dead) as evidenced by the new CATO report on world economic freedom;

In the year 2000 the United States ranked second in the world for economic freedom. Today, the US has dropped to a dismal seventeenth, thanks to overspending, disregard for the rule of law by elected leaders, and increasing regulations. Economic freedom is what has brought about the standard of living we all enjoy today. I shudder to even think what we’ll rank after Obamacare has been fully implemented.

The United States, long considered the standard bearer for economic freedom among large industrial nations, has experienced a substantial decline in economic freedom during the past decade. From 1980 to 2000, the United States was generally rated the third freest economy in the world, ranking behind only Hong Kong and Singapore. After increasing steadily during the period from 1980 to 2000, the chain linked EFW rating of the United States fell from 8.65 in 2000 to 8.21 in 2005 and 7.74 in 2011. The chain-linked ranking of the United States has fallen precipitously from second in 2000 to eighth in 2005 to 19th in 2011 (unadjusted rating of 17th).

You can access the actual report here. Using easily measured yardsticks like legal system and property rights, sound money, freedom to trade internationally and regulations (both levels of and effectiveness), you can track the precipitous slide into oblivion.

The one advantage to perusing a list like this regularly is that when that time comes when freedom loving Americans decide that enough is enough, that this shall not stand, they can relocate, picking a country that actually respects its citizens and is doing now what America use to do.

It is sad, really, to think how low we have fallen. The usual suspects are clearly out there but what’s the point in pointing fingers, the damage is done and there really is no going back. The era of big government and dependency is what we now have. I can’t say get used to it because it will only get worse.

Thank God Reagan is not around to see what they have done to his shining city on the hill, it is now a garbage dump. Being an American now others zero prestige, I guess we can lie and say we are Canadians.

One more domino in history, the Greeks, the Roman, The Ottoman Empire, the British Empire, now us. Obama got his wish, we are now…………..ordinary.

    Revisiting the Detroit problem

As if it was necessary to point out that Detroit’s problems were liberal ideology driven and self inflicted, we get information like this about the city of Detroit’s pension problem:

I’m rarely speechless, but I’m having trouble putting my emotions into words after reading the latest report on the Detroit pension situation. Now, I admit it: I’m kind of naïve. Usually when I see an underfunded pension, I think to myself “poor pensioners — undone by a combination of stupid tax rules, volatile stock markets and mismanagement by trustees who tried to restore depleted fund assets with an investment approach you might call ‘desperate optimism’.” Thus, I was not entirely prepared for the new revelations about the Detroit trustees’ custom of handing out annual holiday “bonuses” to workers, retirees and the City of Detroit. Between 1985 and 2008, they handed out roughly $1 billion this way. Had they been invested, one estimate says those funds would be worth almost $2 billion today — or more than half the current shortfall in the funds.

These “bonuses” were used to lower the contribution the city was required to make, to give retirees a little something extra around Christmas time, and to fund individual savings accounts that workers are offered along with their pensions. In 2009, when the financial markets were completely frozen and the automakers were shotgunning through the bankruptcy courts, the pension trust paid 7.5 percent interest into those accounts — which is about 7.5 percent more than they would have gotten at a bank. This while the pension funds were busy losing about a quarter of their value.

I literally slapped my forehead while reading some of the explanations that the trustees offered for their behavior. The spokesman for the trustees has the nerve to complain about the actuary’s report that outlines these wild deviations from sanity. Here is how she justified draining the pension fund assets:

She said that the trustees were administering benefits that had been negotiated by the city and its various unions and that they had established an internal account to set aside “excess earnings” that would cover the cost. She said it was appropriate for retirees to benefit from market upturns because they had paid into the pension fund, so their own contributions had generated part of the investment gains.

“People were having a hard time, living hand-to-mouth, and we thought we would give them some extra,” Ms. Bassett said.

Get that? The poor people of Detroit, over paid, underworked because of the union racket, and in general likely to do with their own private budgets exactly what their government is doing with theirs, live hand to mouth! So we need to do more shit that encourages them to be even less fiscally responsible. Now our feds are handing more of our money to these same criminals, to help them out, of course. What could go wrong this time, huh?

And can you imagine the trustees of a private company’s retirement fund management team saying shit like this and not looking at massive jail time? Well, if said trustees were not huge democratic party donors, that is. I tell you that today’s problems, the real big economic ones, for sure, seem all to be government created or exacerbated.

No wonder that the left seems so desperate to destroy the private sector, as soon as possible, so we have no other choices. And their solution is always to take more from the productive to piss down that bottomless progressive hole. It doesn’t matter how insane and broken what the left is doing is, the leftists tell us the solution is not to stop doing what they are doing, but to do even more of it. Even monkeys in experiments showed enough acumen and intelligence to stop behavior that caused them pain. For some reason leftists however are lacking this simple instinct.

For people that claim to care and be empathic, it is quite a surprising thing to note how blatant it is that dogma and ideology come before everything, even the pain/death of everyone, including themselves. Know what I am saying?

About time they reversed that stupid Clinton era law preventing military personel from being armed

Bill Clinton, whom told us he loathed the military, and whose administration treated the military like they were valet parking monkeys, pushed for and got a law that disarmed everyone on U.S. military facilities. Considering how the left looked down on the military at that time, I can see how these morons were scared of troops with weapons, and thought themselves pretty clever disarming them all. The media did a great job of keeping this piece of information away from people when Nidal Hassan killed innocents in his Jihad, then managed to bury that story completely. Fast forward to the Navy yard attack, and suddenly everyone is wondering how it could be that even the guards on base were unarmed. The base marines in addition to being told to stand down, couldn’t have responded anyway, since they had weapons and no ammo. It smacks of stupid on a level that should make everyone but the gun grabbers get whiplash. Gun-free zones have the same effect on deranged mass murderers as a Chinese buffet has on a 400lbs hungry hulk with a massive eating disorder.

So I am glad to see that some good will finally come out of this tragedy.

Service members and federal civilians could carry personal firearms on military bases under a bill introduced Thursday by Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, that would reverse a 20-year-old policy on firearms.

“Why are civilians at a restaurant allowed to defend themselves but soldiers trained in firearms aren’t?” Stockman said. “Why can’t we extend common-sense gun laws like open carry to our soldiers?”

The Safe Military Bases Act, HR 3199, is Stockman’s response to the Sept. 16 shooting at the Washington Navy Yard and is similar to legislation introduced after the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.

Stockman said mass shootings could be stopped if people on base carried their own guns.

Seriously, if we can not trust the people we let into the military with firearms, we have big problems. Then again, this administration has made no bones of their belief that the more immediate terrorist threat in America isn’t Islamofascists, but ex-military people with a grudge against our abusive nanny state, so I can see them not wanting to let the military carry weapons.

Was this an attempt to scare Issa whom has put this administrations crimes front & center?

That’s what I thought when I saw this report at the Daily Caller. From the post:

A leaked State Department email indicates that officials were worried about the safety of House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa after Democrats revealed his plans for a secret trip to Libya this week.

Issa, a Republican from California, has safely returned from his fact-finding trip to the country as his committee continues to investigate the terrorist attacks that killed America’s ambassador and three others in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012.

CBS News reported Thursday on an email that quoted a Libyan national sharing “his concern and his opinion that Representative Issa should not come to Libya for his own safety.”

The email reports that the Libyan thinks, “the people who would harm Rep. Issa are the same people who conducted the Benghazi attacks.”

Before Issa’s trip, Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, issued a press release asking Issa to postpone his trip until he allows Democrats to join him.

The word out doing the circuit is that the scumbag Cummings only did this to prevent Issa from going without him and his buddies. Maybe I just expect the worst from the left, because my take was that this administration would love for someone to take out Issa, whom has been a thorn in the side of the criminals that make up practically the entire Obama administration.

The angle that Cummings did it for petty reasons makes for a fine cover, IMO, and while these people are just that petty, I worry that people that think they not only can use government agencies to target their political opposition, but also have the right to drone strike citizens without due process, wouldn’t have to go that far off the reservation to justify killing their political enemies. After all, these are the same people that would love to do things the way they are done in China, where enemies are treated harshly by the almighty state.

I really hope that this is just me being paranoid, but the Obama crime syndicate has been well protected by the LSM for a long time, and they could by now think they can get away with anything and everything, and believe me this gang thinks they are morally justified to do anything to keep power and win.

    Degrees Of Evil

New information has been trickling through concerning the Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi, information that is absolutely chilling and I’ve been thinking about how we view terrorists in general. Some obvious questions come to mind. Granted all terrorists deserve to die (not imprisoned, mind you) but be removed from existence (better for them, better for us) but is the yardstick of American blood the only measure of urgency in going after these guys? Should the method, the targets or even the intent behind their murderous acts, should these weigh one way or the other in how passionate and resolved we are in their pursuit? Does a suicide bomber, say a 18 year old kid who has been fed a steady diet of “death to the infidels and the pig Jews” all his life by the local imam, who walks into a crowded marketplace and blows himself up along with all the innocents within a 50′ radius, is he on the same shitbag scale as his handler or the original imam? How about the Tsarnaev brothers, who knew better and had witnessed freedom first hand but still decided to mass murder, where do they stand on the evil meter?

A diligent effort should be made to go after any and all terrorists, that’s for sure, but something changed, drastically, in Nairobi. See, unlike Mumbai, where the terrorists shot everyone indiscriminately, these guys went above and beyond. All the hostages were separated Entebbe style, Muslims over here and non Muslims over there, that is when the horrors began:

Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.
Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.
Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.

Come to think of it, there was an element of this in Mumbai, I remember that Jewish couple,The Holtzbergs, they got special treatment above that of the other victims before they were murdered. But it was nothing like this, I wonder what Koran verses the attackers fell back on to justify this method of savagery.

This kind of torturing the hostages, this is a sea-change from what we have seen in the past and I wonder if this is isolated to al Shabaab or can we expect this kind of behavior from now on.

I guess I should not have expected much from the Nairobi police but this 4 day stand off reminded me of Munich and those bumbling stumbling law enforcement guys that could do nothing right and pretty much sealed the fate of those Israeli athletes. These guys decided to use RPG’s which brought down all 3 stories when stress columns were damaged.

And I was surprised that only 5 terrorists were killed with 10 captured, some sources says 8 were captured

Most of the defeated terrorists, meanwhile, were reportedly discovered ‘burnt to ashes’, set alight by the last extremist standing to try to protect their identities.

Is wasn’t one last extremist but several, and your identities will easily by discovered since you didn’t have the balls to go down fighting.

Yes, we do drone strikes in Somalia, but given the nature of this attack would Kenya be justified in go into Somalia the way we went into Afghanistan after 9-11? How much help should we give them? is al Shabaab now public enemy number one (they have bragged that this is only the opening salvo with more to come)? Is this the new strategy of terrorists regimes around the world, make it personal?

The common folk like us, we are not privy to all the back channel communications between the Kenyan government and our own but in keeping with Obama’s self made persona of America’s great terror warrior ,”Yes, Mr. President, we know, OBL is dead and AQ is on the run” if there is any way we can lend a hand in taking care of that Somali roach problem they got, I say let’s roll. The African Union would welcome it, and any opportunity to garner some good will around the world (we sure could use it) should not be an opportunity wasted.

And so it goes on, while our demise is sped up..

The fleecing of the American tax payer by leftists that think no matter how idiotic and economically destructive their policies are has been ratcheted up another notch. From the article letting us know that the Feds will now bail Detroit after the city, which has been owned lock, stock, and barrel by democrats for over 6 decades, was run into the ground we find out:

WASHINGTON — Nearly $300 million in aid for Detroit — from federal and state coffers, private businesses and charitable foundations — will be announced Friday as Obama administration officials visit the city to discuss what can be done to help eradicate blight, improve transportation, encourage new business and make residents safer.

The funding will include $150 million in blight eradication and community redevelopment, including $65 million in Community Development Block Grant funding — which had already been awarded over two years but could not be accessed by the city. An additional $25 million could help hire as many as 150 firefighters in the city.

Some $24 million in federal resources that had been tied up will go to repairing buses and installing security cameras, part of an overall $140-million investment in transit systems. And several charitable groups — the Ford Foundation, Kresge Foundation and Knight Foundation — will put millions into spurring entrepreneurship and creating jobs.

Because in the liberal world, bad things can be fixed by throwing even more of other people’s money into the bon fire! The lesson here for Detroit and many other municipalities, including states like California and Illinois, is to actually spend yourself into utter bankruptcy even quicker so the feds can step in and help you piss away more tax payer money. Why would any one of these liberal bastions that have basically destroyed their economies, now that they are getting bailed out by the feds, feel obligated to change any of the obvious and insane spending policies that got them into trouble? And just in case you might be thinking there is no link between the current administration and this idiotic move:

Gene Sperling, the head of President Barack Obama’s National Economic Council and an Ann Arbor native, briefed reporters on some the plans Thursday evening, saying Friday’s meeting at Wayne State University is “the first of many efforts that the administration will engage in with the city of Detroit.”

Pure genius. Do you know what every other democrat dominated center of economic disaster is thinking and doing right now? I guess the stupid will not stop until the entire country collapses, just the way the U.S.S.R. did. We tax payers are truly serfs to our credentialed elite masters. Beasts of burden to be used until they collapse from the abuse, and then to be controlled as they move us from the line of the productive to the line of those that cannot subsist without sucking at the government’s teat.

I am sure someone here will tell me how vile it is of me to just want to see Detroit go down in flames. Point out how uncaring it is of me to not feel anything for the plight of the poor people, not just in Detroit, but all around, that would suffer but for this “help” (and that is in quotes precisely because I see this as anything but help). Yeah, I feel sad that the drug addict is an addict, but I certainly know better than to keep enabling their addiction, especially since all it is doing is speeding their demise. Seriously, who is more compassionate? The person that takes a hard line with the addict and helps them break the habit, or the guy that keeps feeding the habit and tells you that he does this idiotic thing that will eventually kill the addict, because he just can’t see the poor drug addict suffering from withdrawal symptoms?

The only way most people learn to not do bad and stupid things is to suffer from the consequences of their actions. Detroit is now going to avoid said pain because the feds will bail them out. Have no doubt that this handout is just the first of many. Does anyone think that Detroit, and the many others that practice the same brand of progressive economics won’t be back with their hands out sooner than later? Is anyone going to pretend that Detroit really learned their lesson, and that this time they will get their act together? I think we all know how this will play out, not just for Detroit, but for the other shitholes that have been driven into the ground by the left’s insane mismanagement, right? The crooks are running the country and they are laughing all the way to the bank. At least they can do that until they too run out of other people’s money.

Obama’s new vision for America on display here people. Don’t say you didn’t know what was coming when we get there, because it was blatantly obvious.
