Hey Mr DJ: Time Limited Edition

What an incredible week I’ve had. Maximum work commitments that kept me away even as I turned another year older. All of it was positive and it’s only on Friday I’ll have time to relax since I have to do some catch up work over the weekend.

Still, I carved out a few minutes to get a DJ post up. It’s pretty barebones, but I don’t mean to miss a week anytime soon.

Remember that we only have so much time to do what we enjoy and accomplish what we think we must. Fill this thread with songs about things you love or even the very music you cannot live without.

First one is for me:

And only one dedication this week.

Manwhore: Survival by Muse. It suits him.

  1. Mississippi Yankee

This will most likely be my favorite, can’t live without, song til my dying day. And of course it’s by Dr. Hook.

  2. Mississippi Yankee

The first time I ever heard this song was early in 1974. It stopped me in my tracks. I had known all too many Sam Stones in the 3 years previous and was probably headed that way myself.
It caused me to re-evaluate a lot of the stupid shit. Pretty sure it was the first time a song ever brought a tear too.

    Thumb up 1

But my main choice for this week’s theme would be Kings of Convenience – I’d rather dance with you. (with the added bonus of being quite possibly the best film clip ever made).

    Thumb up 2
