Can we drop any pretense that we are a nation of laws anymore?

One set of laws for thee, andother for the left and their causes. Mind you, we are going to be pointing out what the DOJ, the highest legal enforcement organization in this country was doing:

A division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was deployed to Sanford, Florida in 2012 to provide assistance for anti-George Zimmerman protests, including a rally headlined by activist Al Sharpton, according to newly released documents.

The Community Relations Service (CRS), a unit of DOJ, reported expenses related to its deployment in Sanford to help manage protests between March and April 2012, according to documents obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch.

CRS spent $674.14 between March 25-27 related to having been “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.” CRS spent another $1,142.84 for the same purpose between March 25-28.

CRS spent $892.55 “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida” between March 30-April 1, and $751.60 “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”

Sharpton, who promoted the Tawana Brawley hoax in the 1980s and in 1995 led a protest against the “white interloper” owner of a Harlem clothing store that ended in a deadly shooting rampage at the store, was a featured speaker at the March 31 rally, called “The March for Trayvon Martin,” where he advocated for Zimmerman’s prosecution.

Holder’s troops did this then, at the tax payer’s expense, to help agitate the masses and get a certain apathetic demographic to come out to vote. Anyone arguing otherwise, after realizing the DOJ worked hand in hand with one of the biggest shysters ever – Al Sharpton – to persecute a man for purely political gain, needs their head removed from their backside.

This country has become far more racially divided, broken, and lawless since Black Jesus got power and started healing the oceans and the rifts between evil America and the rest of the world. Go figure. What’s been done to Zimmerman is a travesty. Pray you are never one of these poor shlobs used and destroyed by the left’s political apparatus. Our legal system is broken and the abuses keep piling on, but the usual whinny bitches that always protested real or imagined slights by the previous occupant of the WH, seem not to be bothered much.

Does anyone still doubt that the guy in the WH would not have been drawn and quartered by now if he had an (R) next to his name? What about the head of the DOJ being forced to resign in shame?

If what you say is true, then the CRS would be in violation of its own mandate.

It is certainly possible that this has happened, but I would really like to see some specifics on what exactly the CRS should not have done, rather than the spin in this article you have linked to. I mean, did they actually organize demos themselves and try to get people out on the street (probably not mandated), or did they help to ensure that riots didn’t result in the destruction of whole city blocks (definitely mandated)?

I have to add that the article that Alex has linked to is really cleverly written in a way that completely obscures what the CRS role in the demos was. It almost makes it sound like the CRS actually organized Al Sharpton’s speech etc, but there is nothing there that actually specifically ties them to this – particularly if they were acting according to their mandate, as suggested by their office.

I’m curious about the people who gave a thumbs down to my comment above. If you think the CRS’ role was wrong (and again, you could well be right – it may have been), why wouldn’t you want to know for sure? Why would you rely on an article that has clearly not provided evidence of inappropriate behaviour – just hinted at it?

You really have to ask stogy?
When Alex adds some variation of “if anyone argues otherwise” it’s a huge clue that even he knows he’s promoting nonsense.

Ah yes, the perils of promoting nonsense. Here’s an example. It’s a big one too. Too bad the left in general played right along with it, didn’t bother to wait for the whole story, just jumped right in with the conspiracty. Then again this was a feel good conspiracy so it’s cool. Doesn’t matter what harm promoting the narriative with cause.

Kid gets shot in a fight
    Investigation is done
Person who fired the gun was cleared because based on Florida law (and not the stand your ground, but just the general law), no murder or malice took place based on a pretty thorough investigation.

    Wild conspiracy narrative in 3,2,1

Event makes it to the news

Twisted into white paranoid guys shoots harmless black kid, as proven by parading a picture taken years earlier

Twisted into local police let the guy off because it’s a white paranoid guy who shoots a black kid

Opportunist president even chimes in without hearing any of the facts. Goes right off the narrative, assumes the kid is a complete victim and further distorts fact from fiction by comparing the kid to a son he does not have. Of course this isn’t the first time this president has chimed in assuming the guilt of the “white” party involved, even if the person “guilty” is hispanic.

Conspiracy of local police, DA, and paranoid white guy to let him get away with it because the all must hate black people (as proven by a doctored 9/11 call from a large media outlet) sets off more racial tension.

Trial ensues, and even though what we’ve seen in the trial is EXACTLY what the local authorities said happened, and the prosecution’s case is weak at best for an honest conviction, a man’s life will be at the mercy of a mob for quite some time, and riots may ensue.

Now that’s a conspiracy you’d think the leftist talking heads would be outraged about, you know, jumping right into a narriative and stirring it up without caring at all about the facts.

And for the lighter side of media and race, how the hell did no one catch this? I mean seriously one glance at the names and you could figure this one out. Not only that, but the NTSB said they were correct. Jesus. Well at least they didn’t run with it as being true for several weeks. I’ll give them that.
