If the guy in the WH had an “R” next to his name…

We would be bombarded nonstop with stories how this was his fault:

Nearly two months after homes in Staten Island, NY were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, residents say they’re still struggling with red tape as they try to get the government to help.

FEMA “really hasn’t done much, if anything, and they’re making people go through a whole bunch of bureaucratic tape,” one resident told MRCTV.

‘They need all the help they can get, and the red tape doesn’t help anyone. It only hurts and hinders and grows the problem,” another said.

Victims are shuffled from one desk to another for registration, an identification check, and one-on-one interviews – then referred to something called a “Mitigation Desk,” a FEMA official at a local Disaster Recovery Center explained to MRCTV.

Just remember that these are the same kind of people that have been fighting the “War on poverty” for the past 6 decades, are running Social Security and Medicare into the ground, and soon will be in charge of Obamacare and our life & death decisions. And yet, our social justice class warriors tell us these people are our salvation. We should even give up our freedoms and rights and trust them to protect us.

Fuck that. A bunch of freaking 4H or Boyscout kids could do a better job than these government morons.

WASHINGTON — New York-area lawmakers in both parties erupted in anger after learning the House Republican leadership decided to allow the current term of Congress to end without holding a vote on aid for victims of Superstorm Sandy.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said late Tuesday he was told by the office of Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia that Speaker John Boehner of Ohio had decided to abandon a vote this session.

Cantor, who sets the House schedule, did not immediately comment. House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland told reporters that just before Tuesday evening’s vote on “fiscal cliff” legislation, Cantor told him that he was “99.9 percent confident that this bill would be on the floor, and that’s what he wanted.”

A spokesman for Boehner, Michael Steel, said, “The speaker is committed to getting this bill passed this month.”

In remarks on the House floor, King called the decision “absolutely inexcusable, absolutely indefensible. We cannot just walk away from our responsibilities.”

What’s also relevant is that Obama was running around there in late October stating there would be no red tape. So let’s see no bill has been passed for months, red tape has been going on for months under the God King, but then one more day delay before beginning to sift through an “aid” bill that is no doubt full of pork is suddenly unconscionable?

Anyhow, the way I see it fuck these states. They are the “blue” states which we hear time and time again are the rich and intellectual states. Solution, let the dumb rednecks pay for it, just like they all signed up to go to Afghanistan after 9/11 only to get shit on by the very people they were fighting for. Well fuck’em. You’re rich, tax your state populous and pay for your own damn recovery. Don’t rely on the dumb redneck states to bail your ass out. To me, this country has become so damn divisive thanks to the left who reside in places like New York and New Jersey that I couldn’t care less about these fuckers.

It’s a fact that red states, as a whole, take more from the tax trough than they put in. So when a couple of blue states, who have been footing the bills for red states’ recoveries from natural disasters for years are in need, “Eh, fuck ‘em” seems to be a bit petty and ungrateful.

    Sally Sally Sally,

Do we really need to go over this pile of horseshit again?

The Fact of the matter is that dumbfuck analysis you reference uses flawed methodology.

It takes military bases and retirement into account. The majority of military bases are in *GASP* red states. And all the goddamn rich bitches from blue states somehow end up RETIRING to Red states for their better tax benifits. Hence all thier SS, medicade and medicare go to those states. Hey what are the 3 biggest portions of the federal governments budget again?

    GFY you idiot.

There’s that sweet down home southern hospitality and grace that permeates RTFLC.

I seem to recall that California has more military bases than any other state – maybe that has changed.

None the less – these red states do do withdraw more tax dollars than they contribute for whatever reason ( a lot are not in the sun belt or have big government installations). Mitigating circumstances aside it is still a fact the blue states are contributing more to the tax coffers ( even so I’m fine with agreeing that they receive services equal to their contributions and put this portion of my observation aside for another occasion).

However, I do not recall it ever taking 60 days for a congress to appropriate funds for any of the hurricanes that have hit the Gulf and Florida coasts.

It’s kind of like loaning your brother money to buy his house and then him not being willing to cover your dinner tab when you forget your wallet.

Still a dick move perpetrated by folks with an R after their title being pointed out by other folks with an R after their title.

Too bad im from the NE huh, totally blows that “southern” shit out of the water doesnt it, you douchebag.

Too bad there was what, 10-20 billion in pork in the bill. Lets just forget abuot that right Sally?

A new roof for the Smithsonian, some Alaskan pork, a few other things, whats a little pork amongst thieves right?

too bad that the states that ARNT in the sun belt and red also have a ton of shit like, i dont know, Missile Silos, as well as military bases.

  8. balthazar says:

Oh and that number you are listing is per capita, so the amount of bases and personel IN PROPORTION to the states population is a huge factor in the numbers. But things like this dont concern fucktarded idiots like you.

Oh no – you’ve absolutely run a circle around me logically now – you really told me – wow.

Too bad there was what, 10-20 billion in pork in the bill.

Oh yeah – ’cause all those appropriations for aid in the red states NEVER contained any pork – or if they did those representatives from said red states voted against them. Thanks for setting me straight.

Whatever dude – it was still a dick move perpetrated by a bunch of tone deaf yahoos.

Okay I’m on deadline – gotta make some more money to help support those socialists in the red states. Keep warm.

So because its been done for years when someone does try and stop the pork they shouldnt?

What they should have done is passed the non pork bill a month ago. But Chucky Schumer saw a great opportunity to pay off some of his buddies and had to wait for their donation checks to his election campaign to clear.

I was not responding to the idea of pork riders to bills Or some proportional accounting of military bases and personnel. Interesting and worthy of discussion as these subjects are – they are beside the point at hand. I was responding to this direct statement:

Well fuck’em. You’re rich, tax your state populous and pay for your own damn recovery. Don’t rely on the dumb redneck states to bail your ass out. To me, this country has become so damn divisive thanks to the left who reside in places like New York and New Jersey that I couldn’t care less about these fuckers.

Not a word about pork there. Pretending that religion re: earmarks was suddenly found by this congress on the last day of its term seems to be a bit of a stretch of rationalization to me. I think Section 8′s take is closer to the truth.

Well I also stated this, in the same post.

What’s also relevant is that Obama was running around there in late October stating there would be no red tape. So let’s see no bill has been passed for months, red tape has been going on for months under the God King, but then one more day delay before beginning to sift through an “aid” bill that is no doubt full of pork is suddenly unconscionable?

which mentions the pork and the fact the hysterics about the GOP didn’t seem to be an issue up until 2 days ago even though the senate passed a proposal just what a week ago? The red tape has been ongoing, and the Feds already promised via FEMA that they have the structure in place to cover what insurance won’t. That was assured to the citizens months ago. I wouldn’t exactly say either party was in a hurry for this bigger bill, but now out of the blue Jersey and NY are going to sink into the ocean because a vote is delayed by a couple of days? really?

Okay I’m on deadline – gotta make some more money to help support those socialists in the red states. Keep warm.

Well if you’re making over 400K a year then I must say congrats to you. If not, you’re still enjoying the evil Bush tax cuts that were apparently responsible for every ill in this country, and you’re not contributing one penny more than you were a couple of days ago.

And yes, I’ll stick by my Fuck’em attitude. We were all Americans until the left like those in places such as NY decided that wasn’t the case. Not too many people were saying fuck’em on 9/11 because we on the right felt we were all Americans. The left over the years have been the ones who made that idea out to be corny and stupid patriotism, and just dumb rednecks and their “Amerikkka” pffft.

Also, take a look at the blue states. For the most part they have the highest debt that everyone will have to pay for eventually, and that’s in the hundreds of billions. So putting everything on the credit card isn’t exactly all that responsible.

    You got me.

Proved me wrong. How could I have not seen it. Thank you so much.

Nobody with an R behind their title had anything to do with the appropriations for the victims of Hurricane Sandy not going through.

No person with an R after their title complained about this. The links I provided are obviously forged. I wonder if that Chris Christie impersonator bitching about Boehner does parties?

No bill for disaster relief for a red state has contained earmarks or if it had no representative from a red state would have voted for it. Got me there too.

And of course there is no animosity toward New York or New Jersey held by folks from red states. My bad.

It’s a wonder I can find my way to the bathroom from my office. But then again, my ass is out of commission – having been so thoroughly shredded by your shrewdness. Game set and match – you win.
