The Unserious GOP

Ladies and gentlemen, if you want to know why I voted for Gary Johnson this year, here it is in one tweet:

That’s Marco Rubio, rising star of the GOP, boasting that the GOP is refusing to tackle entitlements and insisting that we blame Barack Obama for one of the few good ideas to emerge from the Fiscal Cliff mess.

I haven’t posted much on the Fiscal Cliff mess since I knew the Congress and the President, like dumb students who have known a paper was due all semester, would wait until the last minute. I will not be surprised at all if we go over the cliff. But keep this in mind: the President and his party are laughable clowns. But a big obstacles here — as boasted by Rubio — is that the GOP doesn’t really want to cut spending.

  1. Ladies and gentlemen, if you want to know why I voted for Gary Johnson this year, here it is in one tweet:

There is not a person on this site that wondered WHY you voted for Gary Johnson. And they also know it had not a damn thing to do with Marco Rubio or the GOP for that matter.

  2. If Marco Rubio’s tweet is accurate, it means that the current GOP is less fiscally conservative than Barack “stimulus” Obama.

  3. The GOP has a long history of not wanting to touch certain types of spending-military pork, for example. Rubio’s stock for 2016 has dropped with this, IMO. Blame games should be for the other side.

Obama may be a big spender, but at least he’s honest about it.

He is? Do you seriously think Obamacare won’t become yet another overpriced POS that democrats will be saying needs to be “fixed” to get even more government control over the next few years? Remember the most transparent administration ever was so transparent that Pelosi stated we’d have to pass it to find out what’s in it.

As for Rubio, these fucks in the GOP need to battle for what’s right. State we need to start looking at other options. State we can privatize some of this. You won’t win every battle, but be persistent instead of flip flopping all the time on these subjects.

  5. If Marco Rubio’s tweet is accurate, it means that the current GOP is less fiscally conservative than Barack “stimulus” Obama.

On what planet or in what universe? Why would you support changes that are for all intents and purposes not going to make any kind of a serious difference, anyway? Are these part of those cuts we get in 15 or 20 years?

As for Rubio, these fucks in the GOP need to battle for what’s right.

After Obama won the last election, I suspect most people now – correctly – believe that what’s right doesn’t matter anymore since the people that don’t care far outnumber those that do. When what’s right doesn’t appeal to the majority and you need to win elections, you suddenly don’t bother too much with what’s right. Especially when you are basically told you will get the blame if you do the right thing or not.

We are fucked. The democrats and the LSM believe they can lay the blame for the fiscal cliff, including the existence of the fiscal cliff itself, at the feet of other party, so we are going to go over it. They do not give a rats ass about the damage it does. It’s the political win they want. Then we will get tax increases, massive ones, on everyone, and they will blame the other side for that too. Republicans will try to kiss ass to save face, and we the people will get hosed. And people like Hal will tell us how much better they are because they threw away their vote and left these fuckers in charge for another 4 years. A lot of good your principals are going to do you when the cost is this high.

I am not defending the republicans. The only thing they have got going for them is that they are not as evil or destructive as the democrats are. In the grand scheme of things that makes them the better choice, at least for me. My only gratification is that everyone, and especially the ones that fell for these crooked, evil, charlatans still in power for 4 more years, are going to get shafted right along with me.
