This About Sums It Up

I’m curious, for those that watched the DNC last night {crickets} aside from their love affair with the uterus and their War On Women plank, is there any mention of their, you know, record? Any reflection on how they have done having the keys the last 4 years, any cheer leading, high-fiving, jersey popping, or chest bumping over that monstrosity we all call Obamacare?

For those that still haven’t gotten a handle on that 2 thousand page bill, here it is, bite sized for easy consumption:

And yes, she is a real doctor.

I missed Michelle’s speech last night, did she mention that this was the second time in her adult life that she was proud of her country?

    Surely so.

Where’s CM to tell us how wonderful – and honest – it all was?

A War on Women Night where they honored Ted Kennedy, surely one of the few politicians to actually inflict casualties in his War on Women.

    love affair with the uterus

Not sure I’d call it that when so much effort is spent trying to prevent said organ from actually bearing fruit.

I’m pretty sure it was meant exactly in the way it was taken: you are the property of the government.

That most certainly is the way they act.

Along this same line, it is interesting (doublespeak for MSM bias) when we call attention to all the hubbub over the RNC platform wording concerning their right to life stance, with no discernible opt out wrt incest or rape, yet nary a word over the DNC abortion stance in their platform, where ALL abortions, partial birth, 3rd trimester, regardless of whether the child could live on its own, anytime/anywhere, all are just peachy, as long as tax payers foot the bill.

I can’t think of a more barbaric practice then partial birth abortions , those where a healthy live baby pops out but since the decision was already made to abort, the child gets murdered anyway, viability be damned.

Romney got tagged (unfairly) with the RNC platform of no exceptions (yet he does hold exceptions as appropriate) but Obama, who voted 3 times to protect doctors from this grizzly practice, does not get broad brushed with this seemingly out of step declaration.

Wow. I’m sorry if you had a bad day repmom.

No bad day, CM. I felt sure you had watched, and expected that you would have comments. Was wondering where you were, that’s all.

Just to give you a heads-up: at 10.30pm last night I watched a little Fox News and it was 6.30am there. So I don’t get up out of bed in the morning until well into the afternoon where you are. By the time I’m able to even start thinking about logging into this place it’s late afternoon in the U.S.

Was wondering where you were, that’s all.

    Lovely way to express it!

Here is a good question, if one goofball is a dufus, what do you call a whole room full, dufi?

DEEM-AND-PASS: AFTER VOTE FAILS, DNC RAMS GOD AND JERUSALEM BACK INTO PLATFORM

The process in which they flop flipped is equally hilarious, when you can’t count that high just declare “the opinion of the chair” and pass it anyway, who cares if you break any rules, Dems get to do that.

    I hope you’re got a good gag reflex….

“This is the president who delivered the security of affordable health care to every single American after 90 years of trying. This is the president who brought Osama bin Laden to justice, who ended the war in Iraq and is ending the war in Afghanistan. This is the president who ended ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ so that love of country, not love of another, determines fitness for military service. Who made equal pay for equal work the law of the land. This is the president who saved the American auto industry from extinction, the American financial industry from self-destruction, and the American economy from depression,” – Deval Patrick

I understand they were quite aggressive on Obamacare through the entire first day.

Right. To put the broad brush vs. results in perspective, does anyone else remember the offer to blow Clinton for keeping abortion legal during his term? Where was the corresponding offer to Bush for basically leaving it alone?

To put liberals’ perspective on abortion into real terms, I remember that a PoliSci class that I was in a few years ago had one idiotic womyn who believed that abortion should be used as first-line birth control in order to harvest stem cells. I don’t care who you are, that’s sick. There wasn’t anyone in the room who was left-leaning who would take her on for that at all.
