Londonstan Is Beautiful This Time Of Year

An incredible feat, the people of Great Britian should feel very proud in the job that they did with the Olympics. Rogge declared it a “Happy and glorious games”, what an understatement. The venues were spotless, the events ran like a Swiss clock, the people were friendly, and whatever gods you prayed to for good weather. Security was perfect (effective but never seen) the sprucing up of the entire city dazzled the world. And coming in third with Gold medals won, well done. I never thought anyone could come close to Beijing for shear pageantry and “wow” factor but you guys did it.

OK, now that I got the niceties out of the way, what the hell is going on with you guys and your total abdication to Islam? Why are you bending over for these radicals? Tony Blair told you that multiculturalism does not work, Cameron echoed the same sentiments, as did Merkel, look at what is happening to France and Sweden, is this what you guys want?

In Cheshire, two students at the Alsager High School were punished by their teacher for refusing to pray to Allah as part of their religious education class.
In Scotland, 30 non-Muslim children from the Parkview Primary School recently were required to visit the Bait ur Rehman Ahmadiyya mosque in the Yorkhill district of Glasgow. At the mosque, the children were instructed to recite the shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith which states: “There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.” Muslims are also demanding that Islamic preachers be sent to every school in Scotland to teach children about Islam, ostensibly in an effort to end negative attitudes about Muslims.
British schools are increasingly dropping the Jewish Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, according to a report entitled, Teaching Emotive and Controversial History, commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills.
British teachers are also reluctant to discuss the medieval Crusades, in which Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem: lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

Pat Condell gets it, most rational Brits get it, yet you are still dancing to their tune, and allowing them to shame you into rolling over and exposing your genitals.

Voltaire said, “To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you’re not allowed to criticize”, why you and other European nations are ceding power to an ideology that requires either your death or your conversion to their faith, it is puzzling.

Assimilation to a culture is a requirement for any nation, or should be, get rid of those Sharia courts and the practices of Sharia in general. The laws of the land, British laws decide societal behavior, not the Koran.

Sad thing is the rational people won’t speak up, as they’ll be accused of being right wing extremists and nationalists. WHY THEY AREN’T TOLERANT!!! See, it’s OK to mock a religion or those in it if there’s a hot topic like gay marriage for example, as long as the religion being mocked is on the lower end of the pity pyramid hierarchy, and the “victim” is on the higher end, but no one should question the forced teaching of a religion that has a bigger audience that wouldn’t mind just stoning a fag let alone the question of marriage. It’s all based on a pity pyramid of political correctness of what is and isn’t tolerated. If you’re on the lower end, such as a Christian especially white, then nothing is tolerated, but if you’re on the higher end of the pity pyramid then anything below is fair game. Same goes with what race you are. It’s funny society even takes this seriously. It’s like it was drafted up by a five your old, but here we are.

The Alsager High School one is from 2008. And the reporting appears to come from a single Daily Mail piece. The Daily Mail. Who reported that Egyptians will soon be able to sleep with their dead wives….hmmmmm.
The Parkview Primary School one seems to also be from a single report, but I can’t even find a single remotely-reputable source. Or even the Daily Mail.

I thought the weather in London was a bit iffy. Some of the events took place in rain (women’s marathon). Some days were as cold as here (where it’s winter). Still, nothing you can do about that. Everything they had in their control worked well and I really enjoyed it. The only slightly dubious thing I noticed was the extra assistance a GB athlete got during track and field (had music played for them and the announcer worked up the crowd).
I picked NZ to get 13 medals, and that’s exactly what we got. Equalled our best ever haul (with Seoul 1988). We did get more gold in LA in 1984 (8, as opposed to 6 this time, and only 3 in Seoul) but this was a much better effort as LA was obviously heavily boycotted. We finished only 1 gold behind the Aussies, which freaked them out.

…..get rid of those Sharia courts…

They are not courts, but informal councils with no legal powers who deal only with civil cases, and they cannot impose any penalties.

However as the councils are dominated by men, who are making judgements in favour of men, I’m not a fan.

Defending them against the likes of us, but then admit that they’re wrong. Do your right and left brains connect with each other?

Except that it’s also reported in the telegraph.

Apparently the teacher was suspended. Just FYI there is a page 2 on Google search.

    As for the other item

Sounds to me like they listened to the recital and then it was translated. Not that the kids recited it. So I think this one was a little over done, but it was interesting seeing the kids performing some sort of ceremony. Hopefully that was voluntary, because God knows if it was a school trip of Muslim kids to a Catholic church, and they had to wear any type of Christian garb there would be hell to pay, and we won’t even touch the idea of a trip to the Synagogue. Tolerance I say!

However as the councils are dominated by men, who are making judgements in favour of men, I’m not a fan.

And these judgments should be upheld in a western court how? Otherwise they are entirely ceremonial, or they are being enforced illegally, or they are being enforced by the western courts and why? I could see enforcing any contractual agreement in the western courts including Sharia, but only the parts that would also conform to the rights and protections of the host state, or at least that’s how I see it should be done in my country anyhow. Any other western nation wants to be more “tolerant” to whatever comes of foreign rules is fine by me.

About the Sharia Courts thing – it’s freedom. Basically if you want to belong to a club, and have that club have its own set of rules, and have its own set of punishments for breaking those rules – then you’re free to do so. As long as the State doesn’t force people to adhere tot he rules, then I’m afraid it’s freedom baby.

It’s just an insane(r) version of the Catholic Church. A man in a dress hands out arbitary punishments for displeasing an invisible omnipotent deity who really hates w*nking.

Anyway – I think the point is that a couple of examples from four years ago doesn’t really add up to a ‘total abdication’ to Islam.

I still have tonnes of Friends in London, and I go back fairly often whenever I need a proper pint. I’ll let you know as soon as the Muslims persuade the Brits not to drink beer. If you offer a Brit 42 virgins in return for no more pubs – I think the answer will be pretty clear.

My google skills failed me obviously. Thanks.
Sounds like a dumb teacher (suspended for not just this but for also for “ongoing inquiries centred around other practical issues”). Any follow-up stories? Again, this was 4 years ago.

If those are the two worst ‘examples’ then…..sheesh.

Sounds likes it’s a private dispute resolution system. The Courts would only intervene as they would for any other legal issues arising out of such a process.
