Skyrockets in the Drink

So much for Kim III: The Search for More Crazy:

North Korea defied international warnings of censure and further isolation on Friday, launching a rocket that the United States and its allies called a provocative pretext for developing an intercontinental ballistic missile that might one day carry a nuclear warhead.

Fortunately, the rocket went only slightly farther than my old Saturn V model rocket before blowing itself into pieces. But they also may be ramping their nuclear program back up. The food deal cut just a few months ago has already been suspended.

Oh, well. Looks like North Koreans have another generation of savagery ahead of them.

Do you think we will ever get a president that just says no to these evil bastards? Every four or eight years, they get someone new who thinks that just this once, the Norks can be trusted.

Somehow I don’t see President Romney standing up to them. Maybe if Bolton is secretary of state.

Don’t worry guys. If Great Leader was A New Hope, and Dear Leader was Empire Strikes Back, then while High Fructose Corn Syrup Leader may seem to be starting out pretty badass, it will inevitably fizzle into Ewok dance parties and shit all over a once-awesome trilogy.

hist_ed, no one wants to provoke them because we have 50,000 troops in their path if they get frisky.

My favorite comment was from Popehat, who said that the reason the rocket failed was because starving North Koreans swarmed the launch pad and ate the rocket.

Which is exactly why I believe this was all a distraction on their part.

The Norks are 0-4 in the missile department.. C’mon Kim Un, this ain’t rocket science…
