Pressing Buttons Is Hard

This state legislator walks into a bar…………..no, they are just too stupid to even be a punch line in a joke.

And they don’t come any dumber then those born and bred in The Golden State:

A congresswoman representing California’s Central Coast was left looking rather silly after she accidentally pressed the wrong button during voting on a bill she co-sponsored — and became the lone lawmaker to vote against it.

The legislation, which calls on Iran to release Christian pastor Yousef Nadarkhani who is slated to be executed for apostasy, passed in the House by a vote of 417 to 1 — with the lone holdout being Rep. Lois Capps (D-San Luis Obispo).

A couple things of interest here. Probably the biggest beef I have with congress critters (even state ones)is when they waste their time (my tax money) on bullshit legislation. I don’t know if they do it for PR purposes, trying feebly and without much success to bolster their reputations and approval ratings, or if they just know inside that whatever they touch turns to shit and usually accelerates that which they are trying to avoid, that being the total bankruptcy of the state.

I also like those cool colored buttons, designed I guess for those that can’t read, just pretend you are driving and are approaching a traffic light. When things are dumbed down to a legislator’s level, it don’t get much simpler then that.

And something I didn’t know, there is a button you can push to become president, how cool is that?

  1. Section8 says:

It’s absolutely about PR. California likes to pass warning labels to protect the consumer. Any bill that has passed that will not have any or minor material impact to anything should have a warning that the bill is for campaign purposes, and that warning should be publicized each time any of these guys reference such a bill when trying to get reelected.

    On a side note:

    Our society today:

If Rush Limbaugh called her a dumb bitch for pushing the wrong button, there would be uproar from all areas and non stop news about it.

If it was Palin who pushed the wrong button, or just about any other right leaning woman who would have done the same, and Maher, Oberman, or any other pundit called her/them a dumb bitch, it would have been oh well, and half the right leaning populous would have said well, it isn’t really right to call her a bitch (with minimal uproar), but it was dumb to push the wrong button. That’s our society today. No wonder the left have the advantage.

Thumb up 6 Thumb down 0
