Gangland thuggery, coming to a mail box near you. Chicago Jesus still runs his fiefdom like Al Capone, and expects his protection money to keep coming in uninterrupted:

Despite the herculean efforts of the national media, President Obama’s reelection campaign continues to fall short of its groundbreaking “Hope and Change” campaign in 2008. In January, its fundraising haul actually fell below the level raised in January 2008, when Obama was a first-term Senator running against the Democrat establishment’s favorite candidate. They’ve resorted to raffling off dinner with the President, but eventually had to cut the price of raffle tickets from $5 to $1. Now, it seems, the Obama campaign has decided to resort to SEIU-style intimidation to fill its campaign coffers.

They got nothing on Marsellus Wallace, who bragged about getting some home boys to work on you with a pair of pliers and a blow torch.

Check out that attached letter, dropping a piano on you would be more subtle.

You know, the first thing to came to mind was those apostasy laws as practiced in Muslim countries, where those so inclined to leave the fold are leaned on and hunted down. Here to ,”We noticed that you have given money to the cause in the past, why aren’t you continuing to give? You don’t think we will let you just stop, do you? We know where you live, if you are white and do not want us to brand you a racist, you know what you have to do. You voluntarily joined our group, but you can’t just walk away, oh no, we can’t have that”.

The bloom is off the rose for any ex Obama supporters. The window dressing of being cool and hip, of being post racial and supporting the guy all your professors supported, that pretense does nothing to abolish the familiar yardstick of ,”Are you better off then 4 years ago”.

Obama has one leg cut off, all that is needed is do lean on him a bit, Is anyone from the GOP up to the task?

A sure sign of the fear and desperation of the Obama campaign is the ever-increasing number of “polls” that show Obama will win in a landslide, even though his numbers are in the toilet so deep that Jimmy Carter is loaning a shovel and waders.

Laughable letter of desperation, and telling. Not just about Obama, but of something systematic. Surely something needs to be done to get at least some money out of politics? And time as well? The US seems to be in constant campaign mode. Obama started his campaign months ago, and Romney’s been in campaign mode for what seems like years now.

I understand that some things are considered holy by many. A lengthy electoral election for one thing, and I understand the arguments. But when will enough be enough? It’s up to the parties to decide how they want to choose candidates, but how people are willing to accept that they don’t even get to vote on a candidate, because many of them have jumped ship after the early primaries already, is beyond me. Some even before a primary based on nothing but straw polls. There’s just something wrong with a system where most of the candidates are gone long before Super Tuesday.

The various campaigns need to be significantly shorter. Perhaps polls should be restricted the last weeks running up to an election (minimizing poll politics). Working campaign finance regulations needs to be imposed (find ways around the first amendment if needed). I don’t know exactly what needs to be done, but plenty it seems.

Romney was in campaign mode because… he is in a campaign to win the Republican nomination. He is certainly NOT in “president” campaign mode (if he is.. the Obama is going to win this hands down)>

Obama has pretty much been campaign mode since his second year. It’s ALL he knows how to do other than apologise for imaginary American sins.

Is the entire email available on Breitbart’s site? Maybe it is and I just missed it. The issue with Breitbart is he has a habit of taking bits and pieces to make a story. He got a woman fired from her job by using such methods, which wasn’t cool. Not defending Obama here, but I don’t like when either side takes a few lines of text or video and glues them back together. Whether the tone would still be the same, who knows, but that’s the problem, who knows? In the past I’ve seen such methods of cut and paste that turned out later to not even remotely match the story. Unfortunately because of Breitbart’s prior actions, I don’t think he deserves the benefit of the doubt unless he shows the entire tape, letter, email, or whatever he edits.

Fair enough. I didn’t really want to bother searching for campaign emails so I didn’t take much time to find it. Well no time actually.

Anyhow, this just looks more like standard campaign BS than anything. Looks more like the we want to know why you haven’t donated, but of course please donate if you can. There is a textbox on the site to fill out why one hasn’t donated. Any disenchanted former donor should take the opportunity to fill it in in my opinion. As far as campaigns keeping track of who donated or not, they all do it. It’s a little different now that it’s all online driven. You’ll see an email whether you’re home at the time they send it or not, rather than maybe missing a phone call or throwing away mailers before you even open them, but
when you get phone calls or mailers, they know your address and phone number too.

If the email had said something like Obama will be re elected, and it would be in your best interest to make it clear you are on the team, then I’d be saying WTF!?

You are right, of course, political fundraising and prostitution are step brothers, they all do it, I just thought it humorous trying to picture these guys standing around with looks of incredulity ,”What is going on? We got the cool guy, the hip guy, the guy that shoots hoops and dances on Ellen, the guy that not only can jujitsu with his brain power but really cares about us, why isn’t everyone getting a second mortgage on their homes to contribute and keep this utopia going for four more years?”

The humor part I can agree with, and how campaign managers could be so miffed how someone go from a Messiah that could rally the masses and their checkbook with nothing more than a smile and a few buzzwords a few years ago, to a perceived pain in the ass that keeps bugging people for handouts. Apparently the Obama campaign is completely oblivious about why this would be. I could tell them. I could sum it up real easy for them. Fads are powerful but short lived. Obama was a mystic figure with little track record. People convinced themselves they should fill in the voids with good thoughts because that was the cool thing to do. Personally, I hope these now disgruntled folks continue to get the shit bugged out of them.

Shrink what government does or controls access to, and you basically remove most, if not all of, the incentive for politicians to rake in the money, from the process. It;s not hard to understand. But as long as people try to have BOTH big government AND less money in politics, it will be like trying to prevent the Titanic from sinking due to the massive gash the iceberg caused, by blowing equally big holes in the hull, elsewhere.

Less money in government elections only comes when the stakes for the politicians are low or none existent. And as an added bonus we might also finally get rid of the people now motivated to run for office due to the massive power and wealth involved that have screwed us over so bad.

It is not like this WH has had teams of people, organized to fight the “lies” from the non-members of the LSM that actually do not just parrot the DNC talking points as facts or ignore stories that the left would prefer nobody hear, or something, try to demonize their enemies and control the flow of information, right?

And just take a look at what Obama has done to all the people that helped him get into the WH when they become inconvenient for proof of what will happen to those he feels should be giving him cash or else. Rezko and Blago, just to name a couple of his buds, want their money back.

Even these Chicago mobsters aren’t dumb enough to put stuff like this in print when they have been burned on so many other things, right? I mean, if they really felt they could just get away with it, we would be far deeper in trouble than we are now, and they would do it. That is why it is inferred. Maybe they are all getting the “Jan Brewer” treatement, in private, after the e-mail goes out? I would be surprised that it was otherwise with this crew and what we know they do.

A bigger problem: Iowa and New Hampshire are far more important in the primary process than California, Texas and New York.

Why should money get out of politics? Why not let anyone spend anything? The market place of ideas should rule. I would end all limits on political donations but require campaigns to reveal their donors before they could spend the money.

I’m open to any ideas. Just discussing them openly with the intent of bettering things, should lead you guys a long way. Wrt money I just fear that the money needed in the politics of today serves more as an incentive for fund raising than it does for actual politics. Revealing donors is a good thing though, but I’m not sure how well that would rime with small private donors and the right to privacy.

There is no right to privay in The Constitution. Just in some emenation of a penumbra.

The problem I have with Campaign Finance Reform is that moneuy will always find a way into politics. We’ve seen it over and over again. Pass a law. Whoops we didn’t think of this. Repeat. Campaign finance laws are really incumbent protection laws. They stack the deck against challengers who can’t play the money game as well as incumbents. Let loose the dogs of free speach and see what happens.
