Just wow…

As our country goes over 1000 days without a budget, President Obama is getting ready to release his new incredible $3.8 trillion budget for 2013. As expected this budget is replete with massive gimmickry and the LSM will pretend that a reduction from totally insane spending levels to just insane spending, by instituting more class warfare, is a good thing for us all, while the dickwads on the other side will do nothing but protest the lefts political Kabuki dance of ruin. And for a fourth year in a row we will be running a deficit that when all is said and done goes over the incredible $1 trillion mark. This year spending is projected, and projected optimistically, to top $1.33 trillion, for 2012. But don’t worry, next year, something I feel compelled to point out they have predicted would happen for every one of the previous 3 years, they will get it under $1 trillion. Obama says so!

And we need to be reminded again that none of this is Barry’s fault, though. After all, Obama inherited this disastrous economy from guess who? And even if it has been three years of Obama policies, and the threat of even more burdensome class warfare regulations to come, that have done harm to any chance of economic recovery, and spending in the age of Obama is on par to double the debt Obama inherited, it still isn’t his fault. Bush is the one that went back in time and created the underlying incestuous relation between the Federal government and the many mortgage lending institutions. The one the left pretends never happened but that resulted in lending institutions being coerced into handing oodles of money to unqualified high risk people with the tax payers to take the hit when things went wrong. Bush also gamed the system until it imploded. After all, he offered little but token resistance in the face of such heroes of the people as Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, whom luckily put a halt to his evil machinations by pointing out he was just a jealous racist trying to keep homeownership from these unqualified people. Heck, the deficit spending of the Obama years is thus Bush’s fault too. Why not? Never anyone but Boosh’s fault.

Anyway, the LSM is out there in full spin mode. not everyone is optimistic with this plan. It doesn’t spend enough for the vote buyers!

Shit, we are doomed. The social engineering class warriors believe this is a win-win for them. As long as the game keeps going, they grow in power. And when the house of cards collapses, they plan to swoop in and take control of everything in true marxist fashion. They aren’t even ashamed to tell people that this shit sandwich is a good deal anymore. After all, if you object you have to be doing so because you are a racist! There must be an election soon and votes to buy.

    Then what would they do?

Personally, I don’t think they will be allowed to swoop in and do anything. Allow me to speculate wildly for a minute. In the event of a dollar crash, I see more than half of the country mad as hell and looking for a scapegoat. The Democrats are the obvious choice at home, which puts any Democrat president out on his ass in the next election (I don’t believe Obama or anyone else can get away with suspending elections). Not only can we blame deficit spending, but we can also blame trade policy (GATT under Clinton for example).

We’ll need severe austerity to deal with the decline in imports, and for that, what better excuse than a war economy? We can use military and factory jobs to placate the people who really matter in desperate times (gun owners). The activists on the left will just lineup to be arrested and pepper sprayed by the police. The government can put its increased police state powers to good use against dissidents, which is easy to justify in a time of war.

Who would we be fighting? Well China would almost certainly take the blame for trashing the dollar. We can say they did it to take an undue share of middle-eastern oil. It’s economic warfare (a term that’s been floating about lately). Naturally we’ll have to head out there and “defend” the middle-east from Chinese imperialism (economic or otherwise).

I don’t see much purpose for an increasingly socialist government in the event of a dollar crash. Who would support it? No one with money or guns or any other real power that I can see.

Did you not pay attention in history class? I am fairly certain that they covered the communist take over of Russia, China, Korea, Cuba, and Cambodia to name a few, and while I am certain they white washed the horrible things done in the name of social justice and equality, you get the picture.

Personally, I don’t think they will be allowed to swoop in and do anything.

Than David I must point out you are incredibly naïve. What do you think the coordinated effort to obviate the 2nd Amendment by these leftists has been all about? And what do you think happens when millions of people used to getting handouts get told they no longer can get it unless they back the government in taking everything from those that have it? Sure, it will get bloody, but the mob wins, and right now the people that vote for a living already outnumber those of us that work for a living.

Damn, I wish I could buy this explanation, but we are talking about the party that takes its queues from Alinsky and his radical rules. Unfortunately I have seen the media successfully help the democrats fool people over and over, when it was blatantly obvious they were doing that. Your assumption that the mob will turn on the very people that have been paying them off also baffles me. No matter how harsh said mob suffers at the hands of their masters, history shows us they go along until it is too late to turn back. Look at Chicago or other such donkey power houses for evidence closer to home. Besides, when people become desperate they will side with anyone that promises them relief. And if that relief comes at the expense of people that have been demonized constantly, like the well off, it’s a bonus. Misery LOVES company.

We’ll need severe austerity to deal with the decline in imports, and for that, what better excuse than a war economy?

Do you seriously think these leftists will suddenly ramp up military expenditures instead of growing the welfare, state like they have done for the last 3 decades? Maybe you mean they will need a lot of people in uniform to spy on and beat down anyone that doesn’t go along with them, but that’s not going to require many factory jobs. Workers camps don’t count either. And banana republic policies won’t do much to alleviate the pain. Austerity would be an understatement

We can use military and factory jobs to placate the people who really matter in desperate times (gun owners).

Seriously? The first thing that goes is the right to own guns. People with guns can fight back. If you are too cowardly to fight and give in, trading your guns for a job that won’t pay squat, ain’t going to make much difference..

The activists on the left will just lineup to be arrested and pepper sprayed by the police. The government can put its increased police state powers to good use against dissidents, which is easy to justify in a time of war.

Are you saying the democrats would follow in the foot steps of other Bolsheviks and turn on their very own? NEVER! Heh.

Plausible, but then again, we saw how the USSR exported it’s vision of the world.

I don’t see much purpose for an increasingly socialist government in the event of a dollar crash. Who would support it? No one with money or guns or any other real power that I can see.

Did you miss out on how communism and fascism worked? In either case those that didn’t support it where dealt with harshly. Remember Obama’s mentor Ayers and his comment about needing to kill off about 25 million Americans to get everyone loving the state back when? When you are destitute and need the state to feed you, especially if the state deals harshly with anyone that resists, most people will break down and conform. Rugged American exceptionalism will become a crime, and these people will be the first going to those special camps people like Ayers dream about. The point is that when the elites that control the state have all the power, they choose who gets what and how much. That’s really what socialism works out to be in practice when it reaches its natural conclusion.

I think your problem David is that you are trying to portray a fascist government doing its thing, but because you have fallen for that nonsense that fascism is right wing, and do not realize that is just another form of socialism (read up and change your mind), you are thinking that it won’t be democrats doing this stuff. But people like me that understand the left, expect it to be the big government credentialed class types that will want this. And those are primarily represented by democrats and the democrat-light types.

If we had hyperinflation and the currency and banks were completely destroyed, then we would perhaps descend into some kind of state communism or socialism. Under those circumstances, brutal and blatant repression would be needed and guns would be confiscated. However, that doesn’t seem likely to me. Without a complete currency collapse, the most powerful will remain the most powerful and a modified form of the current system will be the safest way to maintain control.

I don’t know what to call the results. What would you call the current oligarchy instituted by a symbiosis of government and corporations under the guise of semi-functional democracy? Whatever you call it, most people will continue to think of it as representative democracy.

We would continue to have Republicans and Democrats. We’ll have both expansions of welfare and social services to quell the desperate unemployed (with inflation enacting a major cut in existing entitlements) and nominally right-wing ideas such as a growing military, privatization of prisons, decreased environmental regulations, increased domestic energy exploration and so on.

If the state snatches up a large percentage of domestic fuel production via a gas tax for food and military use before leaving the rest for free market consumption, do you call that left or right?

If the banks go down completely and the new elite see no reason for war, then all of my predictions will be way off base.
