When you can’t build a casino and stick it to the white man..

Sue the damned beer companies and get some payback!

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — An American Indian tribe is suing some of the world’s largest beer makers, claiming they knowingly contributed to alcohol-related problems on South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota filed a federal lawsuit Thursday demanding $500 million from five international beer manufacturers for the cost of health care, social services and child rehabilitation caused by chronic alcoholism on the reservation.

The lawsuit also targets four off-site beer stores in Whiteclay, a Nebraska town with a population of about a dozen people on the South Dakota border that sells nearly 5 million cans of beer annually.

The Connecticut-sized reservation has struggled with alcoholism and poverty for generations, despite an alcohol ban since 1832. Pine Ridge legalized alcohol in 1970, but restored the ban two months later.

Maybe they should follow the example of the Native Americans in CT. These 2 casinos sure have made those lucky enought to be categorized as members of the tribe/nation and to then collect from these ventures well to do drunks. Just kidding! About the drunk part that is. I need a drink, damn it.

The manufacturer of an object is not responsible for the end use/user unless the object is defective or not suitable for the purpose it was intended for, and not always even then.

    Learn some personal responsibility.

The PETA vs Sea World case is just awesome. Apparently PETA would rather many animals just die. Think the process out to it’s logical conclusion: If animals are all granted human rights, then pets are now illegal. We’d turn all those dogs, cats, birds, etc loose. Many would die from fighting over food or just lack of it. Then we’d have huge problems with them and would start coming up with ways to kill them, but then watch out for those murder charges that would then follow. Do we also charge one animal with murder for killing another? I’m sure lawyers would love the increased workload.

Dogs, cats birds etc. don’t kill their own species for or over food. for profit or for fun

In what fucking universe? Virtually Every multi-celled organism is known to kill its own over food in times of shortage.

they ask humans refrain from violently forcing their culture to the death onto everything on earth for fun and profit.

Every living multi-cellular life form consumes other life forms in their pursuit of reproduction and survival. Period. Humans are not unique to this. That our large brains make it possible to dominate other species and modify our living conditions so drastically that it inconveniences a few species to extinction is irrelevant. They’d do the same thing to us in our position, and the ultimate fate of all species is extinction.

So there is no rational reason to give lesser animals any consideration. If they taste good, then they’re food. Tastier food if you deep fry them.
