Does Obama’s Bromance With Black Panther Party Leaders Explain Philly Intimidation Case Drop?

Gotta love Breitbart. I do anyway. Inquiring conservatives have been trying to direct attention to Obama’s disgustingly imprudent relationships throughout his life. At every turn though, we were told that slammin’ his preacher was out of bounds, or his relationship with domestic terrorists from 25 years ago was stale and insignificant to his life now that he’s all grown up. We aren’t allowed to know anything about his education records or even anything he wrote for his thesis or for the Law Review, the origin of a Social Security number that he started using as an adult and issued from a state he’d neither lived or worked in ever is maintained as an inviolate state secret to this day, his medical records are off-limits, and the only long-form birth certificate that the WH has ever released has been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt to be a forgery.

Enter Andrew Breitbart with another revelation about Obama’s past, only this one is just four years old. Might the fact that Obama was pictured with both the National Chief of the New Black Panther Party, Malik Zulu Shabazz, and the NBPP “Minister of War,” Najee Muhammed, have anything to do with the dismissal of the Philly voter intimidation case, of which Shabazz was one of the defendants? Nah, not our America-loving, law-abiding, natural-born-citizen, Barry Soetero, AKA Barack Hussein Obama. You decide:

Shock Photos: Candidate Obama Appeared and Marched With New Black Panther Party In 2007
by Andrew Breitbart

New photographs obtained exclusively by BigGovernment.com reveal that Barack Obama appeared and marched with members of the New Black Panther Party as he campaigned for president in Selma, Alabama in March 2007.

The photographs, captured from a Flickr photo-sharing account before it was scrubbed, are the latest evidence of the mainstream media’s failure to examine Obama’s extremist ties and radical roots.

In addition, the new images raise questions about the possible motives of the Obama administration in its infamous decision to drop the prosecution of the Panthers for voter intimidation.

The images, presented below, also renew doubts about the transparency of the White House’s guest logs–in particular, whether Panther National Chief Malik Zulu Shabazz is the same “Malik Shabazz” listed among the Obama administration’s early visitors.

Tomorrow, J. Christian Adams, the Department of Justice whistleblower in the New Black Panther Party case, will release his new book, Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department (Regnery).

The book exposes Obama administration corruption far beyond the Panther dismissal, and reveals how the institutional Left has turned the power of the DOJ into an ideological weapon.

Adams’s book also describes, in detail, the Selma march at which then-Senator Obama was joined by a group of Panthers who had come to support his candidacy.

Among those appearing with Obama was Shabazz, the Panther leader who was one of the defendants in the voter intimidation case that Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed. Also present was the Panthers’ “Minister of War,” Najee Muhammed, who had called for murdering Dekalb County, Georgia, police officers with AK-47’s and then mocking their widows in this video (7:20 – 8:29).

Injustice includes a disturbing photo of Shabazz and the Panthers marching behind Obama with raised fists in the “Black Power” salute.

There are even more photographs.

I have learned that Regnery initially received approval from a person who took pictures of the events in Selma to publish these additional photographs in Injustice.

After the photographer wrote Regnery reversing his permission to include the photographs in Injustice, the images were removed from the photographer’s Flickr account.  Yet we were able to capture them before they disappeared.

The photographs show Obama sharing the same podium at the event with the Panthers.

In the first image, Shabazz stands at the podium, surrounded by uniformed Panthers, including Muhammed. In the second photograph, Obama commands the same podium.

Here are the images:

The First Amendment allows photographs of such enormous public importance to see the light of day. Cases, including one involving skimpy photographs of Miss Puerto Rico, have established that fair use and the First Amendment allow publication of these photos.

It is true that then-Senator Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton were also in Selma at the same event. But the Panthers explicitly came to Selma to support Obama, as Adams details in Injustice.

They spoke with Obama at the podium shown above, and departed together with Obama for the main march itself, as shown by this grainer image captured from YouTube:

Obama seems not to be reviled by the Panthers in any of the video or photographs. And Obama’s own campaign website would post an endorsement by the New Black Panther Party in March 2008.  As Adams writes in Injustice:

Somehow, the fact that the future President of the United States shared a podium with leaders of the New Black Panthers, marched with them, and received a public, formal greeting from their party has vanished from the history of Obama’s campaign. Apart from [Juan] Williams’ single dispatch, no other media outlets ever reported it.

After NPR initially reported that the Panthers were present at the event with Obama, subsequent reports from Selma omitted any mention of the hate group appearing with the future President.

Had any of Obama’s opponents appeared at an event with the KKK or Aryan Nation, The New York Times would have had to double its ink buy.

Obama’s appearance does much more than expose mainstream media hypocrisy. It also exposes an association between a vile racist organization and a future President of the United States. Only the degree of association is subject to debate.

And only a few voices outside the mainstream media have continued to press the Obama administration about its past and present ties to fringe groups.

I have been calling for the White House to disclose which Malik Shabazz visited the private White House residence on July 25, 2009, two months after the DOJ voter intimidation case was dismissed.  So far, the White House has refused to do so, leaving open the question of which “Malik Shabazz” appears in visitor logs released to the public.

To reiterate: nobody, including Adams, is suggesting that Obama is a secret member of the New Black Panther Party. At a minimum, however, the events in Selma expose the media double standard that has buried this story until this week.

The mainstream media should ask Obama a few questions before they rush to his defense:

What did he and Malik Zulu Shabazz say when they conversed that day–something that Shabazz has said happened?

Did the Obama campaign play any role in having the Panthers travel to support his presidential ambitions?

Who posted the Panthers’ endorsement on the Obama campaign’s website, and at whose instructions?

Who–finally–was the Malik Shabazz who visited the White House residence on July 25, 2009?

Somewhere in Kenya a village is missing its Dear Marxist Leader.

Dipping our toes into conspiracy waters, huh? The “proof” of Obama’s birth certificate being fake is bullshit, BTW. Layers come from scans, not from the document. IF you scan anything in, you’ll get layers. It’s the software process images, converting readable text into a layer. The SS# is bullshit too as SSN do not always track birthplace. This more bullshit to support someone’s conspiracy book. OMG! Two different black leaders appeared at an event in Selma! Stop the presses!

As for the media double standard: is anyone in the media talking about the GOP candidate’s appearance’s on the repulsive Bryan Fischer’s show?

We can skip the birther issue for the moment and look at two items that have some meat left on them.

    1) Obama has not legally changed his name from Barry Soetoro – or if he has, nobody can find the records of him doing so

    2) The social security number is extremely suspicious

Taken together you have what appears to be someone with a criminal past that assumed a new identity – using his birth name that was unsullied.

Add that into the extremely spotty records on his past, combined with a trip to Pakistan that he couldn’t have afforded, and my guess would be a “drug mule”…

So we are focusing on birth certificates and other information Obama doesn’t deem worthy of disclosing – can you imagine a republican doing the same – instead of Obama marching with the black panthers? Shit, I wouldn’t be surpised to find out Obama has a criminal record either. The press not only never bothered to investigate the guy, they covered for him. Who the hell knows what other skeletons ar in that closet? I wish they had applied 1/10th of the effort they had put into Palin on this guy. I bet he would have lost the next election for dog catcher if he had ran for that. Instead he has managed to undermine the wrold’s economy by destroying ours.

I WISH you didn’t start this off with a conspiracy-styled paragraph. I think it’s more than likely something is being hidden, probably in relation to one of his parents, but it really is a lost cause and pointless. The media have already framed this issue as a “Racist only” issue so really, you need to STOP IT. It’s a battle lost. You shouldn’t have mentioned it, it detracts from the rest of the story, which is truly shocking.

The Black Panther photos are shocking and really, really should be destructive to Obama. They won’t of course. It’s a very telling and striking action being displayed here that should destroy him in a rational, fair world. It’s one thing to be seen being interviewed by a dubious sort or whatever, it’s another to be with these kind of people, these racist vermin. But that’s what Obama is at home with.

The truth is probably this is just political expedience rather than Obama being a racist (though I suspect he is a racist judging from his past writings, though people can change I guess). It does look like the case of the black panthers clearly committing voter intimidation for Obama (without his direction or consent I assume) , recorded doing so, and then impossibly dropped by the Justice Department (or whoever) are linked to this as it suggests a disgusting history – however I think the simplest explanation is that no charges were pressed due to standard liberal ideology, i.e ONLY WHITES ARE GUILTY OF ANYTHING, therefore the black panthers must be let off, as they are not white. No need to infer an understandable connection, just Obama being the shameless politician we rarely see the likes of, and hardcore liberals doing what their insane beliefs about race lead them to do.

This SHOULD screw Obama in a sensible world. Whatever your party, including REAL liberals (as opposed to the liberals we often despise) , this should disgust you. It’s a grand gesture, a text to be carefully read yet i doubt anyone will point it out. Putting this aside it does create a strong pattern of Obama’s behavior.

There were charges pressed, Poosh. In fact, the case had already been won by the legal team at the Dept. Of Justice when the defendants defaulted by offering no response and refusing to appear in any proceeding having to do with the case. Check here for a fairly comprehensive chronology from election day to when the case was dropped, not by the legal team, but by political appointees within the DOJ. (You may have to follow a couple of links for the full chronology, as that link goes to Part 3 of what was a 3-part series up to that point. It may be more parts by now.

Poosh, obviously I take issue with the first part of your post, and with Hal and others who couched anything I said as a “conspiracy theory.” If there’s any conspiracy at all, it’s a conspiracy of silence, of apathy and of avoidance by the media to be sure, but also by pundits and even the general public on both the left and the right. As incredulous, irritated and dismissive as some people are of the few issues I deigned to highlight in my OP here on Right Thinking, those same reactions are invoked in me in orders of magnitude over the unwillingness of such commentators to demand of the most “open and transparent administration in American history” that they live up to those words. I mean really, a “top secret” university thesis? One has to be drowning in Kool-Aid not to question what the heck that’s all about.

And notwithstanding Hal’s claim that simple document scanning automatically creates layers, I defy anyone to produce an expert on the Adobe Illustrator software who will unambiguously confirm that assertion. Not to mention that for Hal’s assertion to be taken unchallenged, he depends on his readers having never done any computer graphics work or simple document scanning themselves. I think most people have at least dabbled in both. I’ve been a digital artist with my work posted at several digital art sites since maybe ’97 or ’98. I also have extensive experience with Adobe Illustrator, and know for a fact that you have to purposely create layers within it. Or, to the extent that layer creation is automatic, it only happens as you create new objects, text or import images. When you scan, your scanner doesn’t scan the background, then the header, then the graph lines, then one piece of text here and another piece of text there, it scans the whole page and creates an image, which, if brought into Illustrator, it would be imported as one layer, period. The only reason to have multiple layers of text, is because those individual words/phrases/handwriting samples, whatever, were cut and pasted, and as such, can be moved around, manipulated individually, aligned to other coordinates on the full page to keep graph lines and the background design straight and true etc. etc. etc. There is absolutely no reason on Earth that a simple document scan would have a multitude of layers unless the information on the scan needed to be manipulated.

Whatever, I pretty much expected the reaction I got. I appreciate the couple of folks who considered it and commented on it on the merits, and I appreciated your post as well Poosh, even though I don’t agree with your view that my first paragraph was only about conspiracy theories. I believe that questions about our president’s past that he not only refuses to open the books on, but has spent literally more than $1 million to maintain as secrets, is worthy of discussion, whether at Right Thinking or at the water cooler at work.

So, what happens when you scan a document and turn that into a PDF (something many scanner drivers do in a one-step process)? I’ll tell you. It depends on the PDF creation settings you currently have on that particular PC, but…

… automatic layering is common place. It happens more often than not. It’s a smart way of keeping the finished document size down.

While you decide not to do try for yourself (as I’m sure you won’t), try explaining the chosen layer structure of the forgery, since it was idiotic and all over the place. The imbecile in your linked Youtube-video, says that he can’t. You being a hard and critical thinker, though, I would imagine can. Otherwise you would surely dismiss him and his theory immediately. And you sure as hell wouldn’t suggest something as stupid as that the long form birth certificate “has been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt to be a forgery”.

Another thing conspiracy nuts seem to forget is that a paper document is the original in this case. The document was sent to the WH in paper form. The WH then turned it into a PDF, to have it posted on the Internet. The Hawaii Health Department (or whatever the appropriate service is called) has then vouched for its authenticity. Don’t you think that someone there would kind of object if the released PDF was different from the one they actually sent? Or are they all bought and/or threatened off, like in all good conspiracy theories?

    There were charges pressed, Poosh.

That was me misspeaking. What I basically meant was it was dropped despite it being a slam-dunk case. No need to read what you posted via links, I already know it’s true. And it is shocking.

    conspiracy

I should say to you that I don’t believe the word “conspiracy” theory is negative or positive. And that I didn’t imply falseness to your general points, or any of them as I lack the knowledge to judge if this or that was fake. I do think that things are being hidden however, that could easily have been clearled up, but that’s beside the point. This is semantics, the word “conspiracy” is tainted by UFOlogy etc and moonlanding conspiracies etc, but I’m not one of those people who rejects a conspiracy merely ’cause it’s called that.

But I do believe you’re fighting a lost cause. The truth will come out in 50 years and it may well be an uninteresting truth. The fact is the media have framed this issue as “racist” despite it having nothing to do with race in your eyes, if Obama was white but may have been born in Poland you would still be taking issue, even if he was a Republican. But this entire issue has been transformed into a ‘symbol’ that represents racism. That’s just my assessment as someone who would fictionally advise right-wingers in America. When people see a tea-party member, for example, make whatever good points need to be made about this issue, they don’t listen, they shut down because “she’s a racist” has been implanted in his way of thinking.

It matters a great deal that an American President is AMERICAN. Not just where he lives but the life he has experienced and his loyalty. Nothing about Obama states this, everything screams he’s a racist, a bigot, and someone who hates much of America, He subscribes to loose marxism – though I think personally he’s more obsessed with POWER than real marxism (which like it or not is concerned with humanity).

His vision of America, his hope & change bullshit, are for an America that works like the USSR or North Korea.

And I want to mention that it now seems par for the course that every damned democrat candidate, and president of the last 3 decades all have had some serious nasty bullshit tied to them but that the LSM has ignored and even covered for them. From missing medical records to military discharges and thesis to grades, we are accused of being the ones with nefarious motives because we wonder what could be so bad that they need to keep it hidden. Can you imagine the LSM not going bananas if the person in question had a (R) next to their name and held back documents?

Fuck, these losers even tried to pass off clearly falsified documents they thought could be harmful to someone with an (R) next to their name, and thus they hated, in a presidential election of all things, and would have gotten away with it but for the blogger community catching the perps and destroying them over it. And yet, we are racists for thinking that if they are going to this much trouble keeping these things hidden that something is wrong.

Actually the New Black Panthers, who rejected the terrorism of the old. The original Black Panthers completely disown the NBP and consider them illegitimate. Regardless, candidates meet with and talk to groups from all across the spectrum, it doesn’t mean they’re beholden to them. Kimpost, if you don’t like the first link I posted, try this one. I grabbed one of the first links I found for the OP, but there are lots of them around. The one linked here goes into a lot more detail than the first one, and I will cover some of what it shows below.

Anyone who has already come to a preconceived conclusion about the White House-released birth certificate being authentic, whatever you do, don’t watch this video. It undoubtedly hurts when all your illusions are shattered. This one follows on the same track as the one above in the first paragraph of this reply, but it shows more proof of graphics being where fonts would/should be if the use of OCR software was really employed. It definitely wasn’t.

I was at work when I made my last post (I work 3rd shift) and didn’t see Orpheus’ or Kimpost’s posts until just a little bit ago, after I’d been home for three or four hours. When I got home from work, I started doing just what Kimpost umm….politely (as if!) challenged me to do, his impertinent prediction that he was “sure” I wouldn’t notwithstanding.

I downloaded the file from White House.gov and opened it in Illustrator just to verify that it was the same file that has caused all the controversy. It was. There were many layers. I started looking at some of them individually just to see if they were consistent with having been created via OCR software during a scan with OCR turned on. They were not consistent. Not at all. In fact, every single layer in that document proves that no OCR software was used in producing the file. Obviously, some of the skeptics know nothing about what OCR actually does, so let me help you understand.

OCR software traces the edge of groups of pixels, analyzes the shape, and attempts to match that shape with a font that you have active in your system. If the OCR software finds the exact font, it then overlays all instances of that specific font that it finds within the document on top of the graphic image that it analyzed. It does not put a new graphic layer over the original graphic layer, it puts actual text from your system fonts over the graphic image. Otherwise, why would you use OCR if all you want to do is replace one low-rez graphic image with another low-rez graphic image? The whole point of using OCR is to convert low-rez graphic images of text into the original high-rez font. Please try to understand that point before going on.

Another thing OCR doesn’t do is create “masks” around the layers it creates. Masks are used to transform graphic layers in a number of ways, such as smoothing to get rid of “jaggies,” resizing, reshaping, all kinds of things are possible when using masks. There are masks throughout this document. Keep this in mind when watching the above video (2nd paragraph). It is clearly shown that the word “none” is a graphic layer, not a text layer. Also notice that the “non” is one layer, and the “e” is a separate layer. Notice also that the “e” is much darker and sharper. That absolutely proves that that word was *assembled*, not scanned. Why? Because the slightly blurred, lighter colored “non” has the easily-recognizable characteristics of a color scan, while the “e” displays the easily-recognizable characteristics of a B&W scan. Please watch the video that I linked to in this post (in the first paragraph) and it will become clear how we can determine that, without a doubt, letters, words and parts of words originated in a color scanner, while others originated in a B&W scanner, all within this Whitehouse.org-supplied document. There is no rational explanation available that would justify layering individual letters or segmented words from two different scanned images, one color and the other black and white, unless that explanation is that the purported color-scanned birth certificate is a fraud.

Finally, here’s a little experiment anyone can try at home. Open the document in Adobe Reader or Acrobat. I have Reader 8, and in that version, if I go to the View menu and go all the way to the bottom, I find the “Read Out Loud” sub-menu. Expand that and select “Activate Read Out Loud.” Go back to the Read Out Loud sub-menu and select, “Read To End Of Document.” When you hear your computer voice say, “Warning, empty page,” come back here and explain to me how a document that was created within an Adobe product, using OCR software to insert high resolution fonts over low resolution graphics, cannot be read by Adobe’s own text-to-speech engine. It’s simple really. There’s not one single font in that document, which proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that OCR software was not used to create the file. Every single layer is a graphic that was culled from at least two, probably more, similar documents, and imported into Adobe Illustrator to be assembled through a process of aligning, resizing, straightening, distorting, smoothing yada yada yada, to give the illusory appearance of being a scan of only one original document, and this makes sense in a strange kind of way….

Remember the phony Bush-was-AWOL forged documents scandal at the end of the ’04 election campaign? What was it that exposed those docs as frauds? Fonts. The fonts used in the forged docs could have only come from a computer, as the fonts used were not available on any typewriter in use at the time they were purported to have been from. Well, whoever forged this document learned a lesson from that failed dirty trick campaign; don’t try to replicate fonts that can be proven to have not been in use in typewriters on the day Obama was alleged to have been born. So they used graphics, which is why Adobe’s text-to-speech engine can’t “speak” the contents of a document that was created in one of their own programs.

Now, what was that Orpheus was saying about critical thinking skills being lacking? When we figure out why this lousy forgery of a birth certificate was foisted upon the country as being Obama’s real one, then we’ll tackle how and why the newspapers show records of birth announcements for The Baby Obammunist. But even if we can’t come up with a plausible explanation tending to show fraud there too, there is absolutely no doubt that this birth certificate is a fraud. Next.

OCR is not all that might happen in a PDF creation process. Different drivers/software do different things, depending on setting. It is quite common for a PDF conversion process to try to vectorize some of the content. Regardless of OCR, that is. The long form birth certificate clearly has not gone through a full OCR cycle. If it had, the text would have been text, but since it isn’t – no OCR.

I’ve scanned hundreds of documents, and it’s quite common for documents to layer up like this. Here’s an expert telling Fox that the document is legit.

One thing anyone should be able to say for sure is that the layering definitely isn’t consistent with a document created from scratch. The chosen layering would be moronic.

Oh, you wanted the General Help Department. This is the One-Free-Shot Department, and since you already got your one free shot, there’s no need to help you learn how to take more.

what I would like to know is what the hell was he doing in Pakistan with that terrorist wannabe? I doubt he was sightseeing on vacation, Where did the money come from, or are we to believe that a struggling student has a grand or three lying about for rainy days, More likely, a terror-op paid for it for his furtherment training in bringing the US down, Well, he has already done that quite well, hasnt he?
He lied about his BC, he lied about his fake uncle liberating Auscwitz, His uncle was in the navy and the russians liberated Auschwitz, Now, nobody remembers him at his Harvard or Columbian days, and the only availble data it would seem is from the most crooked city regarding politics and payoffs, Chicago. If we were talking about the FBI’s ten most wanted list it would be very plausible, but we are not. Who knows, give it time, anything is possible with this lying scumbag,
I read his beloved Acorn , in addition , to allthe voting scams found, was also filmed by Fox news undercover camera while the org, was explaining to prostitutes how they could get away with using their trade as an entertainment tax write off while using the voting booth as another fake organization, They got all this down on tape and then had the audacity to deny culpability and it was taken out of context,
what the hell is next with this crooked ass politician who cant even read a teleprompter correctly? A nobel prize for doubling the amount of american KIA than under the Bush administration? Oh yea, he already got that one as well. WTF is wrong with the voters of this country? They cant all be niggers!!
