Swift Application Of Justice

Another one over my head. Apparently not much happens in New Mexico so when a cop does the hippity-dippity on duty in uniform, it is “alert the presses” time. Um, people, this is not really new or news worthy:

He’s in uniform, in public, and definitely caught in flagrante. But investigators claim the state police officer caught on camera having sex on the hood of a car did not commit a crime.

The story has gone national, and state police are not happy about it.

The pictures show a state cop wrapped up in an inappropriate position, having sex on the top of a car in public.

The photos were taken by a security camera at the out of the way Canyon Ranch, which is owned by Santa Fe county.

Supposedly the slutwoman who shared this moment of intimacy has come forward, you can hear her side here (turquoise box at the bottom).

First off, I don’t believe a word she says, sorry, not plausible to me. We do have an official admitting in the video in the first link that the real woman has in fact been contacted.

This was not the result of a traffic stop/sex for ticket transaction. The Sgt. in the video bent himself in all manner of contortions explaining and defining “on duty”, none of this would be necessary if he was in a marked police car working a shift. I’m betting that:
1)He knows the woman
2)Was either going to work, coming home form work, or going to court but was not “on duty” at the time of penetration.

The officer in question is described as a veteran, he would not barter sex with a complete stranger, too risky. Nor would he deviate from normal procedure involving any enforcement contact, no matter how good looking she was, again, not worth getting fired over. If I’m off base and this does turn out to be a sex for a ticket proposition then he is gone, color of authority/abuse of power, he will never work in law enforcement again.

As to the propensity of cops tearing one off on duty, please, don’t tell me you have never had a nooner in your office. If any officer told me he has never done this before in his career, I would not believe him, people being people, sex happens, everywhere.

As far as the notion that some women get off on the uniform, that is real, but some women are also batshit crazy, even when stopped to threaten the officer with a made up sex allegation just to get out of a ticket. The lesson that business and romance don’t mix is one that is learned early on.

A state cop, in uniform, knocking the dust off the pussy caught on a county owned camera to prevent vandalism.

    Got to love the irony.

Here is the big distinction, those common citizens (sheeple if you will) caught having a nooner dont get administrative leave when caught.

Did notice you did your best to disparage the woman while performing your own acrobatics to dimish the fact that the Cop, in Uniform, was equally sleazy. note not stating that the sex was sleazy, not even commenting on it, just pointing out Rich’s knee jerk Cop Apologist reaction to go after the woman while dismissing the cop.

No, I didn’t notice. If you were referring to that “slut” comment, that was a joke, you know, that old double standard about women sleeping around are sluts.

while performing your own acrobatics to dimish the fact that the Cop, in Uniform, was equally sleazy.

Well, of course, he isn’t getting paid to bang women on duty, no shit it is sleazy, did I really need to say it? The point being that it happens, not condoning it just admitting the obvious.

just pointing out Rich’s knee jerk Cop Apologist reaction

Is that really what you took away from the post? Not apologizing for anyone, in fact, did you read what I wrote about him deserving to get fired if this involved anything concerning compromising his authority?

I assumed this was a consensual act with someone he knew, even then he will probably get suspended for a few days, and rightfully so, no apologies being made, he f-cked up and will pay for it, satisfied?

Yeah. Cops never do anything illegal. They rarely take advantage of their “perceived” authority.

That’s exactly what I took away from your post too. Although you seem to be ‘backing up like a West Virginia mule’ at the moment.

This didn’t seem very humorous when I read it either.

Word on the street: cop is a liberal, woman is an illegal and this was just another attempt to create an anchor baby / voter before the general election.

(Hell if dead people in Chicago can vote live babies in NM surely can too.)

True enough, they are fired on the spot.

Ask rich about the Bart cop who was convicted for killing an unarmed man while shooting him while he lay face down on the concrete. That position would clear this post up real quick.

    I read just fine Rich.

It seems, when it comes to the government or its employees (especially cops) you are willing to give them a huge benefit of doubt. Illegal search and seizure, ah, just let the courts clear it up. Sex on the hood of the car, well the woman must be a slut plus all cops do it, etc, etc.

Look, it appears you are the only one unable to see how you come off in these posts. Instead of blaming the readers, maybe you could look in the mirror?

Cops are human. They make mistakes. Just like the rest of us regular humans though, they should pay for them just like we do. Instead, the thin blue line will take care of them. I know cops as friends. I have seen it. Off duty, they do things they would write up others for while on duty.

Your snide remarks aside, this post was weak and supporting the cop while degrading your readers is even weaker.

Funniest part to me was the male anchor’s name: Dick Knipfing. Dick Knipfing!?! Sounds made up. Surely nobody would make up a name like that……or would they?

I think you read what you want to read, and not one word more, otherwise you would have spotted the hammer I was recommending for any improprieties committed.

Do you not remember the literally dozens of posts I’ve written (mainly at that other site) chronicling police misconduct, and appropriate punishments? All were written from a position that it made the rest look bad, eroded public confidence, and made the dedicated work that much harder. I distinctly remember you commenting on some of these so you should know better.

    Illegal search and seizure

Case in point. Sorry, but again, we have talked about The Exclusionary Rule (remember?) many times, and the need to honor and follow 4th Amendment protections. The “let the courts sort it out” post was about violating the Castle Doctrine (which I am all for and support) but given the two choices of either risking lose of life with the citizen stopping an illegal search or letting the courts declare it illegal (with life intact and cops punished) I would go with the latter.

MW keeps bringing up the Bart cop shooting, I would not expect him to remember what he had for breakfast yesterday but you should. Do you remember the post discussions on the charges considered, and what I recommended both for charges and for appropriate sentences? I got both of those pretty much dead on, expecting him to serve a few years, it was appropriate.

Sex on the hood of the car, well the woman must be a slut plus all cops do it, etc, etc.

As I said, the slut part was a joke (hence, the cross out) but in rereading the post your complaint about me seemingly condoning it with “all cops do it” is legitimate and needs to be walked back. What I meant (and I worded it poorly) was that “all cops have done it” meaning once, in the past to say they did it, but not regularly. Obviously if you are getting paid to do A and you are not doing A but having sex instead, you should get hammered for being un professional and showing bad judgment, and judgment is huge wrt to anyone holding positions of authority. I would expect a couple days suspension if this happened off duty. If the investigation reveals anything more serious then a more serious punishment is warranted.

Some here have brought up an apologist bent on these law enforcement posts I write, noted, I will address those issues better in future posts.

    Thumb up 1

  12. blameme

Cool. And I don’t want to just argue for arguments sake. I think you write really well, but do think in some instances you tend to give the government too much leeway. That pretty much is the only issue I have with anything you write at all.

    Other than that, carry on!

Coming from a cop these days I take this to mean i am just too honest for words. What really happened here is a cop fucked on camera and was busted for it. When sentencing Time comes, all of the sudden these tools are not for prosecution. If this was a red light camera we wouldn’t even be talking about this, but rich feels that any “slut” (his words) who fucks a Greek god (in uniform, which he attests no “slut” can resist) has not made the cop commit a crime.
